Further to Diane's (below - our buyer) 5 star rating I felt the need to balance this out. Absolutely horrible experience dealing with this agent from start to finish, especially Sharon. Delay after delay, confusing and contradictory statement depending on who you spoke to that day. Never called back when they said they would. Kept saying they couldn't chase the chain when that isn't true. Didn't even know about the situation at the bottom of the chain, i.e an extra link, yet our vendor's estate agent knew. Got the green light in writing from them that the chain was ready so booked movers, only to be told 2 days later they had no idea if the bottom of the chain was ready. Cost us £1000 and refused to entertain any sort of refund for either the moving fees or their abject services. It was all lovely until we had an offer on the house, after that they clearly assumed their job was done and were quite happy to wait for their fee no matter how long it took. I was clear from day one that I expected them to be chasing people to make sure this sale went through as quick as possible as the top of the chain had a deadline. They were so happy to say "yes yes yes" until they had what they needed then decided to do nothing. The day before moving I was asked to drop the keys off, which I refused as things weren't finalised, then on the actual moving day I was told by another member of staff to wait until everything had gone through. They clearly don't talk to each other about their own ventures. I wish we had gone with their competitor.

The team at Your Move acted as agents selling our family home after 71 years. It is a beautiful, one-off property which, despite being in overall sound condition, did need modernising for today's market expectations. Not your average, run of the mill sale. We chose Your Move on the recommendation of the previous agent, who was retiring. For that suggestion, and his Sterling work before that, we must thank Bill. The care and attention we received from Sharon, Julia and John throughout the whole process was first rate. Because none of our family now live in the North East, we had to rely on the team to handle all aspects of the sales process, from initial viewings onwards. From James valuing our house to Chloe calling the day our house went on the market to talk through how the process would go we’ve had excellent service.
