GoogleMy partner and I rented our first home through Venture, and they made the experience much less daunting for us! Louise was incredibly friendly and was happy to assist us in any way she could. The process from first viewing the property to getting the keys was smooth and Louise had us moved in within a week of submitting our application! I would definitely recommend Venture to anyone that is looking to rent!

GoogleVenture, Chester-le-street - Had three valuations, went with the highest one and we got what we wanted. Winter was approaching so there was not as many people about but first person offered. Staff are very helpful, friendly and always available at the end of the phone or in person. Not a faceless company. Nothing was too much of a problem for them to help and whenever we think of moving again, they will be the first and only people we ring. Thankyou. Mr Durno.

GoogleWow!!!! Fantastic service from start to finish provided by Lynne and her team. Had a couple of 'issues' that were dealt with in a timely manner and without issue. Lynne took her time to explain to me what the selling process would entail and the timescales involved. I can't recommend Venture properties highly enough and won't hesitate to use them again should the need arise. Thank you!!

Very good at getting you into a property, however they are completely one sided towards the landlord when moving out. Unrealistic bill presented for what they deemed an immaculate property which we suffered with rats, mould, damp and poor workmanship on its refurb. Currently trying to charge me for a laminate floor which was laid onto a completely uneven floor (no self levelling compound used prior to fitting) and I also showed the issue to one of their inspectors during a 6 month visit but because I didn’t raise it through their website they said I was liable. Mentioned it was brand new when handed over yet the damage was fair wear and tear in consideration of the damp rising onto a completely uneven floor. Glad I won’t need to rent again as I would not go near venture now knowing what I know, I would also not move into a terrace street for a rental as it’s up there with the worst experiences of our lives.

Whilst buying a house my partner and I sent an offer for a house we would have liked to purchase. Upon the owner accepting the offer, Venture properties then kept the property on the market despite us having sent proof of deposit, Agreement in Principle etc. We were then entered into a bidding situation depsite having had our offer accepted.

GoogleSold two properties recently through Venture and couldn’t fault the service. Aidan and Lynne were extremely helpful and profressional throughout, from valuing the properties all the way through to completion on both sales. We had viewings on both houses within a day of them going on the market and both were sold within 3 weeks. Communication was great and overall just a really friendly and profissional team. Would definitely use Venture again in the future.

Used to be their tenant. I have to say it is quite literally the most unpleasant experience in all my years of renting. They only serves landlords and have no sympathy for tenants. GoogleAfter having visits by virtually all of the estate agents in Chester-Le-Street we put our house up for sale with Venture. Lynne was extremely knowledgeable about the area and market so set some realistic expectations and didn't over inflate the valuation just to get the business. The situation was not straight forward as we had tenants in the property we were selling, and to be honest, they weren't the most accommodating when we requested and had viewings. Lynne and her team managed this extremely well for us. We needed to sell the house quickly, so we instructed Lynne to reduce the price after a month, this is something Lynne tried to persuade us not to do as the house was priced competitively in the first place, and it was the summer so not the greatest time to start selling a house. (as I said before we had had numerous valuations on the house from other estate agents so we knew what we could get for it) but it was going to start costing us money when we eventually got the tenants. The team at venture are very proactive, professional and caring, and provide an ear to listen to, as these things never go as straight forward as you think and is one of the most stressful things you can do! The whole marketing package was excellent and the virtual tours really do provide that first glimpse into the property before viewings. The team communicated well and acted with complete professionalism throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend Venture, and if the situation arose in the future would definitely use them again.

This time round, I had a nightmare buyer which complicated the sale and Lynne and Aiden were extremely supportive and professional throughout. They were extremely quick to get back in touch and really took any concerns and questions of mine seriously. I would definitely recommend.

My dealings with Venture properties started in March 2020 when I agreed for a friend of mine to be a guarantor for a rental property for them. No problem. Fast forward four years when my personal circumstances have significantly changed and having never heard anything from Venture properties I get a demand for approximately £700. I was shocked as I had heard nothing from this company in four years. I seek out the contract and realise legally they are correct and I would be liable under the agreement. My friend assured me they had this in hand and it would be paid. I note that in the terms I could serve 3 months notice to leave the agreement after the fixed term ended. I served notice in February 2024 for a fixed term that ended in September 2020. I heard nothing from Venture properties and certainly no challenge to me submitting my notice to them. I included a caveat that if I heard nothing I would consider the matter closed. I heard nothing. Then yesterday (7 months after notice served) I get another phone call demanding £70. I now view myself as being legally released from this contract. The person whom I spoke with (Nikki) came across as surly and rude, was only interested in payment and seemed to scoff at me when I mentioned I had submitted notice to leave the agreement.
