We honestly couldn’t recommend Reeds Rains highly enough. They have helped us every step of the way through two really significant processes for our family - buying our first home and selling my late grandparents house. Nicole and Aimee in particular have been absolutely brilliant throughout. They’ve always been friendly, approachable and on hand to answer questions, chase things up and keep us updated, which has made such a difference during what can be a really stressful process. Buying our first home has obviously been such an exciting milestone for us, while selling my grandparents house has been a much more emotional experience, and we’ve really appreciated the kindness, patience and support we’ve been shown with both. We’ve always felt like we could pick up the phone or send a message and know that someone would help. A huge thank you to Nicole, Aimee and the whole team for making everything feel that little bit easier. We’re so grateful for all of your help and would happily recommend Reeds Rains to anyone looking to buy or sell. ❤️

Should be zero stars. We were moving to Canada and wanted to rent out our property. A member of staff in this branch personally vouched for a particular tenant that applied so we accepted their application. They knew the system inside out, after a few months just stopped paying rent and knew all the excuses to say to avoid eviction. So there’s us trying to start a new life in Canada but having to put enough money away to let this guy live rent free in our house in the uk protected by Reeds Rains knowledge of renters rights. Eventually I had to fly back to the uk and remove him from the property myself. Place was rented out furnished, half my stuff was gone - sofas, American fridge freezer, bed… To this day I’ve never received a single penny of the rent I’m out of pocket by and heard nothing from this branch of Reeds Rains. Avoid at all costs Edit / reply Nicola, if your idea of the issue being ‘fully dealt with at the time’ is to wash your hands with the situation and ignore my emails then yeah, it’s a closed case. If you don’t have access to previous emails I’ll happily send them all again, 90% of my emails didn’t even get a reply. It doesn’t change the fact that 1. That tenant was recommended to me personally by a member of Reid’s Rains staff. 2. My missing / unpaid rent was never paid 3. My missing furniture was never accounted for 4. Rieds Rains consistently advised me to give the tenant more time to vacate the property, despite paying no rent for months. 5. Rieds Rains consistently ignored my emails, knowing fine well I couldn’t just pick the phone up and call as I was in Canada. I feel I was consistently let down by the staff at this branch and the company overall

So I have been using Reed’s rains for the past few months now after dealing with a very bad estate agents. It was great to be able to deal with an agent directly to manage my property’s it’s been a very stressful time as they where not straight forward but Chloe has been amazing and talked me through the full process and gave me loads of advice along the way can’t thank her enough for her on going hard work thank you ☺️

I've often wondered why you pay an estate agent so much for just advertising a house for sale. Well this time we found out why. Through a difficult sale, Aimee and Janet chased, organised and pushed solicitors and other buyers and just made it happen when it regularly looked like it wouldn't. Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable in their field. No hassle and easy contact with all parts of the company when we needed anything. We went through an auction process which Reeds Rain's organised with their auction partners who were also on hand to offer any help. But everyone and everything including legal packs etc were organised through Reeds Rain's Agents. Talking from a landlord's perspective, did not have good experience from start to finish. Multiple issues when tenants were in and even unresolved issues 3 months after tenants left. Would not recommend as a landlord. UPDATE: Nicole from Chester-le-street branch has been helpful. Managed to sort out issues after speaking to her. Main problem is with Reeds Rains central management team. Unfortunately, Chester-le-street branch is attached to the central team and lettings management are done under central team. Hence bad experience overall despite good branch service.

I viewed a rental property nearby and had the tour around, I was assured it would be available for me, the day I moved in the property, no front door keys, so white goods had to be delivered accross the green through the back door, I had to then go to the office for a key!!! This is when I realised the lock was faulty and had to be changed at my cost because no maintenance services numbers were available to me, now the fun starts,,,,without knowledge, repairs to this property had been inherited by me, were these discussed by the previous tenant to the manager in the maintenance system and the landlord?? Yes indeed , many times, the office also knew and still let the property with this in mind, so now I am in the same position as the previous tenant, so then they will ignore you, pass the buck, say it's the office to blame, the maintenance system fixflo to blame, then the landlord is not happy to do his own repairs, absolutely rediculous, how can you let a property with this history, then deny any knowledge of the repair. I am now tied in a tenancy that I should be able to relax and enjoy, well that isn't happening soon is it. Update ::I am still waiting for anyone from reeds in house complaints department to return a email or calls, to explain to me the outcome of the investigation of the maintenance issues, also can you please explain how any confirmation of contact is missing from your office too? While you are looking for that ask your letting agent why, if there is a active complaint going, you will not be able to commit to any comments. Weird that, everything shut down, reeds, fixflo, and complaints procedure process.
