Jane in the sales office has worked tirelessly for us and is so dedicated to her customers. She sold the house to us from paper without a demo home. Jane is easy to talk to and has bent over backwards to help us.The home itself has been finished to an impeccable standard which is testimony to the site manager Richard.Jane and Richard have been marvellous throughout the whole process, they have both made the new development feel like a home already and made us feel like we aren’t just some other clients or that this site is just another job for them.Since completion on our new home the after care from Avant Homes has been swift and proper.

If a house was a meal this is Michelin starred!

First of all we love the house. Secondly our purchase journey was made so easy because of the sales lady,Caroline Jarvis, who introduced us to the site, the financial people and the lawyers and was always available when we had questions, and we had plenty as this was our first purchase in the UK after 24 years abroad. Caroline listened to our needs and suggested Avant locations and houses and Viridian Meadows was just right. What impressed us was her knowledge of the area (very important when moving from abroad) and her obvious great rapport with the other workers on the site. We had spent over 8 traumatic months trying to find a house and the Avant experience with Caroline has restored our sanity. She gets our Michelin star!

I have been trying for SIX WEEKS to get…

I have been trying for SIX WEEKS to get a complaint escalated after contractors didn’t show up. I received an accusatory email and yet another attempt to get decorators out to the house, despite their needing work done that will require a painter afterwards - a waste of my own time and the decorators time. I have asked six separate times to have my complaint taken further and yet not a single thing has been done to this effect. I phoned the call centre last week, after being promised contact that didn’t happen, and was again promised a call today. I got an email 15 minutes before the call centre closed today to say that they’ve booked in a THIRD walk through in the space of 2 months. WHAT IS THE POINT?? On top of this, they had no idea who was supposed to be calling me. They only emailed me today in response to the email I sent back after being accused of damaging my own home. Why can’t you just do as you say? So now, after waiting all day for another call that hasn’t happened, I am still no further forward. It is absolutely impossible to get anywhere with Avant. The contractors either don’t show up or don’t complete the work. Worse yet, they try to hide the previous terrible work and call it a day. We’d be here all day if I listed every time we’d been let down by Avant. But it’s getting to the point where I have the time. Avant take your money and run. They have completely ruined the experience of buying our first home.

Lewis Timms has been very patient with me, he is very approachable and nothing is too much trouble for him. I moved to my new avant home in Easingwold six months ago. Although all my 'snags' at time of moving in were fully sorted within weeks, I recently found two, very minor, issues.I reported them to Customer Services and received responses from Gemma who arranged visits and kept me informed. The first job has been completed and the second is booked in. Both within 2-3 weeks.Many thanks Gemma.

Best ever. Seely fields, Can’t recommend Louise and ruby enough. They help above and beyond. They do everything to make you feel comfortable and the sale to go well. You have to remember that there is many people involved in buying a new house and not sweat the small things. It’s very stressful buying a house and Louise and Ruby make it a lot less stressful. I would not hesitate to show my house to people to view before you purchase, we love our new home. Also a big shoutout to all the builders on site as they are great and the best and couldn’t help enough. They do build it. lol. Cheers keith & Michelle

Ambretone Park, what a mess!

I visited their Ambretone Park site at Green Hammerton. I went with a view to just looking through the show home windows however the sales agent invited us onto the site. No safety precautions were adhered to and as a result I fell on their building site. I broke my nose, had to have my face stitched up and take time off work to heal. To cover his back, the sales agent told lie after lie about the incident. Hideous people and a disgusting company, you only have to look at the other reviews. When I drive past this development now and see what an absolute mess it looks, I thank my lucky stars I never bought a house there.*UPDATE* You’ll see from the reply below that Avant Homes state that all health & safety regulations were adhered to. What an absolute joke of a response from this company …. I was taken onto this building site after hours. . I was not offered any PPE. . There was no site manager present. . I had my daughter with me who is a minor.. I fell from an open doorway onto a raised concrete ledge. I would suggest they read their own policies and educate themselves. No wonder they have the reputation they have. Stay away from this dishonest bunch of cowboys at all costs.

Paul Weatherston came over to the Jackton Green site from the east coast to support the electrician who was retrofitting some under kitchen unit lighting for us. His background in kitchen installation meant that he could pinpoint the best approach, avoid units needing to be removed & channels dug into walls. The kitchen was left clean & tidy afterwards too 🌟

Craignethan Gate…

We recently moved into the development Craignethan Gate and have had the most wonderful experience when buying a new build. We have previously heard horror stories about new build houses but our move was seamless and stress-free. Any questions or issues we have had since moving in have been dealt with promptly and all repairs have been so quick.
