I bought my house 8 weeks ago on Summerville Village I absolutely love this house. Yes there may be few snagging problems which I would expect for a new build however this service responding to these problems it's out of this world. Bill was the first site manager was polite courteous friendly always there to help Mark and Matthew taking over and again address every problem I have. The problems are only small and they are addressed quickly. Customer Services especially Natalie always respond to my emails within 24 hours if not sooner and always friendly and helpful. Lindsay is always there to look after me and advise me nothing is a problem for her Angela in sales was excellent when I was buying my house as I was unsure whether to buy or not. She helped me all the way from buying to moving in and gave excellent support.I would say to anyone looking at houses in Summerville Villiage they are excellent company all workers down to tradesmen builders especially dezzy and site managers are professional friendly and really do give an excellent service. I love this site the house is spacious bright and has a good feel. The garden is really big and everything is built to a high standard. I would advise anyone to consider buying a house on this new build estate well worth the money.

I purchased my new Avant home in April 2019 - 4 and a half years ago. The development was Rainton Green near Sunderland in the North East.As is usually expected with new builds, there were issues which were dealt with and rectified under the builders 2 year warranty, in a timely manner and to a high standard.One issue I had was with surface water retention to my rear garden. It was resolved in 2020 but resurfaced in 2021. The new senior management team, from the Persimmon company, took on board my concerns in May 2022.Understandably, due to the complex nature of the problems in the garden and Avant, needing to ensure any remedial work required this time would last, took the time to employ a landscape company which would resolve this once and for all.Lazenby Landscapes carried out the work to the highest professional standards in June 2023 and has resulted in no more surface water.I have to thank the senior management team of Avant Homes North East for working with me to bring this to a satisfactory conclusion and long after the 2 year builders warranty period (due to it being identified within the first 2 years). In addition, I have to recognise, certainly within the Customer Care department of Avant Homes North East, are the updates and support they have and continue to provide. Stacey and her team, and in particular, Helen, have a challenging job to do, balancing the needs of staffing, dealing with contractors, conflicting schedules and ultimately having to relay this to customers.All this, day in and day out which I continue to both acknowledge and appreciate. One piece of advice - when customers have problems, deal with the people who can hopefully resolve them - the builder! Rather than taking your frustrations out on TrustPilot and above all try to be patient and respectful at all times. Mutual respect always wins through as has been proven in my case by raising any issues, if needed, to the top of the organisation. It can be achieved. Thank you Avant. It has been a long-ish journey but we got there in the end.

I hate reviews and never give them as it's always a 1-star foot stomper or a 5-star auto-giver. So you have to read through loads to filter the ones with substance and thought. We have now been in our Home coming up for 2 years, which seems an appropriate time to leave a review. The headline is that we love our home and are very happy. Snags: A few were identified at move-in but were quickly dealt with. Interim faults: A few occurred as we lived but again all were dealt with promptly and professionally.Current state: Perfect. Sticking points: We did have a slight disagreement about one thing but I was impressed with how they dealt with it and understood our needs and then resolved it. Luckily they ruled in our favour, but actually if not I would have been equally as happy given their approach. The customer service team are amazing, especially Shelby who goes above and beyond to make sure we are informed and consulted about our work. Also, we would like to mention Andy the site manager, and Zoe our customer liaison manager who also helped us greatly and treat us with great care. Lastly, one of the tradies who went above and beyond on all occasions, and even did an extra call for us in his own time to make sure the fix was perfect is Ian. They are all good but this guy really knows his stuff and is an immaculate worker with a great standard of finish. Overall very happy and far better service and build than other house builders. Experience has been better than 'as expected', we understood there would be snags, issues and work to be done as with any new-build in a working site.

From our first visit to Ten Locks we felt as though we were listened to and had found a builder with some interesting house styles which were good value. Holly was very helpful and helped us negotiate a good deal and make some positive choices for our extras. As we got nearer the date to move Caroline took over and made the actual moving process smooth and enjoyable. Dealing with the initial snags has been responsive, efficient and helpful. After an extremely stressful selling experience it was such a relief to have a good buying experience.

This review is mainly to praise the Customer Service Team, especially Lily and Laura who managed to resolve the majority of issues that I had with Avant.They worked very hard to finish my snagging list and deserve the full 5 stars.However as this is also for Avant in general I cannot give an overall score of 5 stars due to the length of time it has taken to resolve them. This is in no way a reflection on Lily or Laura who can only work with the resources that are available to them.Avant need to work on getting a better quality of finish in the first instance to relieve the pressure faced by the Customer Service team. They also need to consider who they have as sub-contractors as I had a very unpleasant experience with a Manager at INTU. The general design and layout of the house is good and the development I am on is very nice with houses spaced out just right providing plenty of room. It is yet to be completed so we are still waiting for the roads to be finished and communal spaces landscaped. I do not regret buying through Avant, however it has been a lot of time and effort to get to this point of being happy in my new home. After seeing other reviews it seems that I have been one of the lucky ones to have had no major issues as yet.

We brought a 4 bed Detached at the Clay Cross site. I can’t fault the builder. We exchanged contracts with in 4 weeks. The house was ready in time and very little snagging required. I have been selling New Homes for over 25yrs, so my expectations are high. I just want to say I huge thank you to the Site Manager Ben, Liz in Customer care, James and Andrea on Sales. They go above and beyond. Love the house and the Build and finish I can’t really fault. My little snagging list has been dealt with very quickly thank you Liz. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Peter just couldn’t have been more helpful,so the move was easy ( even a few days before Christmas). Gary and his team on site pulled out all the stops to get us moved in time to put the Christmas tree up !The house has lived up to all the build expectations and more.

I can recommend Avant as my experience was completely different to most of negative comments. It might be due to the fact that our house is on different site as I was happy with the finish. We arranged snagging ( what I will always recommend ) but no major issues were identified, and the few more significant ones were quickly rectified. There were some minor snags that were noted, although Avant is proactively addressing all of them so really I there is nothing I could complain. John and Christine are always very helpful.

When my wife and I were researching to buy a house in Nottingham while we were in the USA last year, Julie of Wilbur Chase team (Avant Homes) was the only one, amongst 12 other developments I emailed, who responded in detail the processes involved in buying a house in the UK, including contacts of financial advisors and conveyance solicitors. That led to my initial visit to the showhome back in Aug last year. The site manager Lee together with Julie took us for a tour and gave a very professional introduction to the different features of various house types. That led to our reservation on our house 2 days after the visit. Then they ran the extra mile to spend hours going through the extras and options with us that week even before we exchanged contracts because we had to fly back to the USA. Months flew by: Julie and the site team kept regular contact via email on the progress of the construction and we got our keys last Thursday, all according to schedule. A big thumbs up to a very dedicated and professional team and special thanks to Julie and Lee

We just moved into our new home at Shipley Lakeside yesterday so I wanted to write a review to say how brilliant Avant have been. Ellie has been great right from the get go and couldn’t do enough for us. She’s been accommodating, reassuring, kept us in the loop and the best thing is she somehow managed to get us excited and smiley again every time it got stressful. We had a few issues at the start of the process but they were resolved and they did so much to make sure we were happy. As we got further into the process we were assigned Jenny as our coordinator and I’m not sure I could say enough good things about her. Our process was stressful to say the least (due to our buyers solicitors, not Avant) and Jenny was there at every turn to apply pressure to the agents, work with our solicitors and keep me updated at every step. The last week in particular was extremely stressful and there were several points I didn’t think we were going to do it… and I don’t think we would have done if it wasn’t for her. We had our home demo the day before we were due to complete (still not knowing if we would) and Ellie made sure we enjoyed the experience despite us being really stressed. We had lots of laughs, managed to forget about it all for an hour, and went away with a smile back on our faces. Neil, the site manager, was absolutely brilliant and made us feel like he just wanted to make sure we had the best experience and love our new home. We finally completed yesterday (right up to the wire) and we were met by Ellie and Amanda celebrating with us and it was exactly what we needed - plus the hugs and happy tears! Yes, we will probably have a few snags, but I have absolutely no doubt they will be resolved because of the care we’ve received so far. Couldn’t recommend the team here enough.

Chaucers Green- Avant Homes.I cannot fault Avant Homes. My first shout out goes to Jane/James (sales staff). I first met Jane after viewing the showhome prior to my house being sold. She was professional & kept in regular contact with me. She then passed me across to James who was there on exchange then completion. James has been a friendly face & hands on when asking for any advice. My second shout out goes to the Site Team. Steve the Site Manager, Matthew & all the staff have been great. No job too big or small. My worse fear being a sole buyer following a separation was being scared to ask for help but these lads have put me at ease & always on hand. I will miss them when they go!! Finally… I can honestly say I love my new home. The plot, design & finish are fab. Credit where credit is due.

Myself and my wife have recently attended the Avant development at Skelton lake in Leeds. We had been looking at the development and decided to call in for a look and a chat. From the moment we arrived Lewis made us feel welcomed, he had great knowledge of the area and the planned long term development as well. He gave us information to leave with and has been in touch with us since to make sure we have what we need. Needless to say when the time comes for us to move we will be going to see Lewis in the near future!!

Whilst I have had ongoing remedial issues, Laura has been superb in relation to rectifying many of these! She’s an asset to Avant and I wish all the contractors who worked on my home would have had the same skill, expertise and knowledge that Laura has. She’s very much in demand on our development (Hawfinch Place) as the quality of her work is of such an excellent standard. Nothing is too much trouble and she often goes above and beyond for customers. I wish Laura had built my home!
