Where to begin............my wife and I…

Where to begin............my wife and I have written a couple of reviews about Jones Homes......all negative due to the very poor build quality to our House. We did not expect this when we parted with £325000. But the reason I am writing this review is that nearly 3 weeks ago we have had to have a drain put in the garden due to water pooling by the patio doors and we have now found that the en-suite shower was plumbed in incorrectly which has led to water leaking through the downstairs hallway ceiling. This means tiles to be ripped out, shower tray and partition too. This has already been done twice. Only started using the en-suite shower in December. Some 14 months after moving in.......We have had no correspondence in regard to when these repairs are going to take place. I feel that Jones Homes now find us to be a boil on their backside. Better to ignore us and hopefully we will go away....Ain’t going to happen Jones Homes......!.The amount of issues we have experienced with this house are to numerous to list, so I am going to setup a facebook group with all the photos, videos and messages we have accrued over the past 15 months so that other owners and potential owners can have a place to support, gather information and interact with each other and to air their own experiences with others in a similar situation. The Jones Homes Customer Care was great. But maybe the amount of issues with other customers might be starting to pile up and getting to much for the department to handle...

Quality House Builder

We decided to purchase a Jones Home after we had viewed many different homes and developments within the surrounding area of Eggborough, selby and Snaith. Without a doubt Jones Homes are the best quality builders around. I visited show homes from other builders/developers and Jones are by far the best from sales, customer service and aftercare.

Paid for a view that’s now a muddy mess

We paid xtra premium for a wild flower meadow view and ended up with a mud bath! So many issues with house from flooring to leaks to plaster needing replacing to faulty garage door to door framesPaid extra for floor which has lifted and the floors sank in one area Customer services good but you have to hound them then they get fed up of you. Chris is though a star but I bet he has lots of issues to sortMy main bug bare that is not sorted is the bog that is called a wildflower meadow! For goodness sake put a fence around it! so many people are driving over it! It’s awful to look at outside ur window! On intial look seems premium but not sure I’d buy new again

DO NOT BUY A JONES HOMES!!!!!Cowboy builders who couldn't care less once they've got your money in their bank. We had a terrible experience from the start, with pushy sales, misinformation on the assisted move which cost us £1,000.00 more than it would have done to sell out house with a local estate agent and missing extras we paid for months in advance. Now 3 months of being in our house we still have a snagging list as long as my arm. Jones homes have been out to see us 7 times and all the issues have either not been touched or made worse. I'm having to take unpaid time off work and half of the time they don't even turn up. They fob you off and are only out for themselves. I could keep going on about our experience and how bad they are, but I would be here for days writing my review.

Terrible company

Terrible company. We have had so many issues with our house, render cracking, flooding, staircase is falling apart, window and door handles all falling off, poorly fitted flooring (just a few of the issues). This is not just a 1 off, all the neighbours have also had the same issues. The products are cheap, the workmanship is poor and the customer service is even worse. We have issues raised on snagging before our 2 year end date that are ongoing and Jones Homes are refusing to do anything about. Even though the fault is with Jones for dragging it out because they dont get things done, you have to chase constantly. They couldn't care less once they've received your customer satisfaction survey. I wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole. AVOID.

Great sales and after sales service

From our initial reservation, to moving in, the sales team have been excellent. They kept us informed through the whole process which took a lot of the stress out of the move. There were a few snags but these were dealt with quickly and efficiently by the site manager. The constructors even took some of our boxes etc away to save us going to the tip. Absolutely love our home.

Sales representation at Jones Homes

My contact has been with Sarah at NewHome solutions and Penny in the Sales Office. Sarah calls me every week without fail with an update. The only problem which is out of Sarah's control is the delay that completion is taking from our buyers.Penny has been wonderful and very helpful in answering my various questions very quickly or if she cant answer then obtaining the answer. She has always been very good at giving me access to the home for taking various measurements etc in preparation for our anticipated move which we are looking forward to very much. Jones homes are good if no faults found…

Jones homes are good if no faults found on your new build which is unlikely in any new build. The big problem is there customer service team are really poor my Experience is with the Lancashire department few minor issues with landscaping outside property and the patronising comments by email I've received are not what any big professional company with years of experience should allow.Would I buy a property from Jones Homes again definitely not because if a minor issue has resulted in the email I've received what happens if you have a bigger issue on property .

Smooth experience

The purchase of our new home went very smoothly. We were given regular updates on how the build was going and there was always someone to talk to at the end of the phone if we needed it. The move day came without any issues and it was lovely to finally be in our new home - there was also a beautiful bunch of flowers waiting for us. The customer care team came and saw us and explained everything - how things worked etc etc. We have been very happy with all communication. Any issues we did have, have been dealt with in a professional way.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Moved in end of April 2022 to suit their end of financial year target! Standard of build very very poor. No where near 5 star finish. This is the worst place I’ve ever lived. Noisy, draughty windows - and doors that do not fit the opening they sit in. Their answer to this ‘they are fitted to our standard build’ this does not agree with their advertising and promoting of ‘exceptional finish - perfecting every last detail’. They are exceptional at promoting how good they are; they are exceptional at answering the issues and saying the right things; they are also exceptional at not following through with the issues that need to be put right once they have been addressed. I have written a formal complaint, which again was addressed, but still waiting for numerous issues to be dealt with. Exceptional - Jones Homes - Again!
