Still in the process of buying our first home, Charlotte has been fantastic to deal with both over the phone and via email. She has always responded quickly, professionally, and helpfully. As first-time buyers, the process can feel quite overwhelming at times, but she has taken the time to answer all of our questions clearly and patiently, which has made everything much less stressful. Chad came to value my property and he was nice and professional so I went with chancellors. That was the worst decision I made, they were terrible. I would go as far to say unprofessional and incompetent. To start they recommend a solicitor which costs more than others but I was promised they would be in constant communication. (Don’t go with solicitors they recommend there as bad as chancellors) I even received an email from Charlotte saying she would check in every 3 days. That was a lie I’m not sure she ever bothered contacting them. The entire process the communication just was non existent. It sometimes felt like they had an attitude when emailing. I’m genuinely disappointed in the service, I have another house that I rent out which I’m looking to sell, it’s safe to say this company won’t be called to sell.

Honestly couldn't be more pleased with the service we have had from Chancellors - in particular Amarjit. We started our journey with a different estate agent which was a bit of a non starter. Amarjit came to see us, immediately understood our move goals, moved quickly, backed our corner and pushed for results. There have been various bumps in the road which have made this process difficult but with chancellors support we felt more at ease. I would also like to mention the amazing service that Kathy provided along the way - both ladies were strong, professional and empathetic to our situation - I wouldn't have been able to do this without them. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, we can finally give our little boy the life he deserves in a bigger house with a garden and his own bedroom. I will always recommend Chancellors to anyone looking to move and I would certainly use them again (hopefully not soon - no offense!)

Stephanie Toal was an excellent estate agent to work with and played a key role in helping this transaction reach exchange. As the acting conveyancer on the matter, I was particularly impressed by Stephanie's proactive approach and dedication. The day before exchange, an urgent issue arose that needed to be resolved quickly. Despite it being close to 5pm and approaching the end of the working day, Stephanie took my call, immediately understood the importance of the matter, and took action straight away. What really stood out was her commitment to seeing things through. She continued liaising and providing email confirmations well beyond normal working hours, with correspondence continuing after 7pm, ensuring that everything necessary was in place for the transaction to exchange contracts. In property transactions, having a proactive estate agent can make all the difference, and Stephanie is a perfect example of that. Her responsiveness, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile helped keep the matter moving at a critical stage. It's always hard when you have to sell a loved ones property, after their passing. Right from the start Ella was thoughtfull, kind and professional to the situation. If you're a landlord then avoid using Chancellors lettings in Banbury. I've dealt with more than a few lettings agencies in recent years as both a landlord and a tenant and I've never been so unfortunate to come across a team with such a lack of urgency to get things done, especially from an investment perspective. They failed to secure a tenant by the reasonable date she requested all because both Jack and Tom took annual leave for a week and didn't bother to let me or the tenant know. Both the tenant and myself were chasing the office for days so we could try get the initial move-in deadline met, the tenant needed to give notice on her current home so it was time-sensitive and Chancellors were aware of this. It took Jack/Tom a staggering two weeks to get a simple move-in date confirmation which then delayed the tenant moving in by two weeks, effectively costing me £500 in the void of rent. There was just no urgency from the team whatsoever and zero explanation as to why things were taking so long to sort out. Now £500 might not be a lot to some people, but to date I've spent approx £15,000 renovating the property to ensure that it's in great condition to be a proper home for my tenants, so seeing a return as soon as possible was somewhat important to me; other investors will hopefully understand where I'm coming from. Letting a tenant down at the first hurdle is unacceptable. On top of this, the property was left unlocked during viewings, countless emails were sent and never responded to, callbacks were promised and never delivered, the tenancy agreement was incorrect and details of payments given to the tenant were also incorrect. In the end it just felt like I was on damage control trying to rectify all the various issues. Also, the marketing they did for the property was very poor, they wrote two lines of copy to try 'sell' my property to potential applicants which was just lazy. Other agencies write great detailed descriptions. Chancellors just don't understand how to market properties effectively. It's been such an incredibly disappointing experience for both myself and the tenant. I will never use Chancellors services again nor would recommend them to family or friends. Edit: Since meeting with the tenant in person, it turns out she'd been lied to as well as Chancellors had stated they didn't receive any emails or calls during this period when they were obviously just ignoring the issues. This agency is not fit to deal with any investment property. Use a small, more knowledgable company instead! Another edit: Apparently someone advised the tenant during the viewing that I'd be replacing the bath as well. There was zero mention of this to the letting agents.

We cannot recommend Maedeh highly enough. We are currently in the process of buying our new home, and with delays and complications surrounding the sale of our existing house and flat, it has been a particularly stressful process. Throughout it all, Maedeh has been absolutely fantastic. She has been incredibly supportive, proactive and patient, always keeping us updated, chasing things when needed and doing everything she can to keep the process moving.
