ReadMaurice were excellent from initial viewing to completion. I was moving back to the UK after a few years overseas and still working abroad while going through the process. They were very understanding, not pushy, and the communication was excellent. My experience with this company has fallen woefully short of any professional integrity expected of an agent employed with the task of selling or leasing your home. Business is, I believe, conducted on a principle of discrimination and deceit. Having viewed a property which was on the market for almost two months, upon making an offer of the full asking price, we were informed that we would need to pay one years advance rent, when we suggested this was unusual practice and most unheard of, we were then informed "it has just been leased". It is my belief that prospective tenants with good covenants, references and quantitative proof of earnings are overlooked or perhaps misrepresented to clients prior to any proper searches or scrutiny being conducted. I would not recommend dealing with this company as I found the Managing Director to be rude and evasive and equally dishonest in his approach when I discovered that the property in question was still available and being actively marketed some time later.

I am satisfied with my experience with Read Maurice and especially Marc who has been my contact point. Based on my interest, Marc offered up other properties to view as well advise against other that would be too tired for what I was looking for. Impressed with the quick sense he had on what I would/wouldn’t like. The property I had my heart set on had a long lead time, but he worked back with the landlord to speed up the refresh of the place and get things in place before i got keys.
