We rent out a small one bed flat. Andrews Wallington have been our letting agents from 2014 until April 2021. It saddens me to wrote this because, individually, they are all very nice people. However our experiences with them have not been positive. They were part managing our property, and our new agent was shocked that they had expected us to do things which we were paying them for!! Such as negotiating the deposit return, informing utility companies etc.Our worst experience was July 2020 when we had new tenants. Already unhappy with their marketing of the flat, they discovered the day before the new tenants moved in that our EICR was out of date.By 2 years, meaning that this had not been checked by them prior to our previous tenants moving in. They said no problem and sent in their approved electrician who issued a failed certificate for £180, and wanted £340 to do remedial work, including "bonding to the gas main." A red flag, as there is NO gas in the building! We refused this and sent in our own electrician, who found a loose wire and 2 loose socket boxes, passed for £180 with no additional charge. They took the £520 anyway and we had to go to trading Standards to get them to refund us.They then told our new tenants that we were "difficult people to deal with!"Very unprofessional, even if they thought it. The tenancy ended abruptly after 8 months when the young couple split up. Andrews did not give us the correct advice re: our rights and told the tenant that, despite being in breach of his 12 month fixed tenancy agreement, he did not have to pay us anything from the day he left, giving us only 4 days notice. They did not help us at all and basically left us to deal with it. Our new agents are so much better!.

This has to be the most incompetent Estate Agents on earth, they are rude and ignorant, Please don’t get sucked in by them they are so unprofessional, they had my property since February it is now June , no communication whatsoever they have cost me a fortune, and I have to start over again. They have made me ill, they really don’t know what there are doing.I have since found out from reviews on trust pilot how bad they really are, so please be aware they are abysmal stay clear.

Keli showed me one flat which I didn’t end up buying but I was struck by her knowledge of the market- Keli doesn’t dish out usual cliches which is refreshing and she understands property. I’d certainly go back to her to buy or sell a home. I’ve been an investor for a long time and, for me, she stands out as straightforward and efficient.

Beware of using Andrew's to buy/sell!Due to the poor standard of service and lack of communication we were not told of 2 unresolved boundary disputes that affected the sale of a property we had made an offer on. This caused a delay of nearly 7 months before we were forced to withdraw from the purchase due to the behaviour of Andrew's staff and management as well as the sellers attitude as they were constantly told it was not an issue by andrews. Andrew's later admitted to being aware of the boundary disputes when the property had been originally listed.You cannot complete and have the deeds transferred to your name or even get a mortgage on a property with unresolved boundary disputes - Andrew's you should know better! Being repeatedly lied to is not an appropriate form of service! We would not have proceeded to order surveys and searches and instruct solicitors had we known when we made our offer. This entire debacle has cost us nearly £1k in fees. We were offered a mere £250 as compensation for 7 wasted months and £1k of wasted money. We were constantly told it was not an issue and it was repeatedly minimised which dragged the process out.Despite making a complaint to management and escalating through the complaints process to head office we have had no appropriate resolution.
