Alex and the team at Paul Fenton did an outstanding job in assisting in the sale of my deceased Aunt's property. The professional, sensitive and friendly assistance made me feel confident of a good outcome. As I was from Australia their assistance and explanations were particularly helpful to navigate an unfamiliar process and system. Following my return to Australia I had to manage the sale from overseas and the team kept us regularly informed, was responsive to my emails, provided prompt advice, and ensured I was kept up to date with what was going on. I’m extremely pleased with the assistance I received in whatever needed to be done to get the house ready for sale and then sold. Alex's knowledge was excellent, and he presented all the information and requirements to me in a clear and concise manner and made sure to help me get things organised in the timeframes I had, which was a massive help particularly when we were back in Australia and unable to do things in person. I was also impressed that while other team members provided excellent assistance to me, Alex as a company director maintained involvement and contact with me. I would highly recommend Alex and his company.

Hayley & Emma was so helpful in finding us a flat, we were living in Spain at the time & they both said it was no problem, when we arrived in England they pulled out all the stops & found us a lovely flat. They were so helpful with viewings, meeting the sellers & they stayed late so we could pick up the keys, what more could you ask for. I had a great experience with this Estate agent. Everything was so efficient. Our agent Cat was great from the very beginning she updated us consistently throughout the process nothing was too much to ask, she answered all questions and emails promptly. Lorna and Emma from Paul Fenton Estate Agents were incredible. We struggled with the efficiency of our solicitors and they were incredible at keeping on top of things, communicating between solicitors and getting everything done. We were greeted at the viewing by Lorna, who was friendly and very well presented, she gave us enough space and time to enjoy the viewing and the decision to put in an offer was easy. We may end up having to move again due to our work in another 3-5 years and if we do, we will absolutely be using Paul Fenton Estate Agents again.

I am writing to share our deeply distressing experience with a rented property on Bubwith Close, Chard. For over two months, persistent mould and a leaking pipe have gone unresolved, despite our constant reminders and follow-ups. This neglect has put our personal belongings and health at serious risk. The lack of action is completely unacceptable and demonstrates a disregard for tenants’ safety and wellbeing.

POTENTIAL PURCHASER Unfortunately I haven't had a good experience when wanting to view and have more details about a property that they are selling. I initially saw the add on Rightmove for a 3 bedroom house with garage, workshop on Furze hill in Chard. I read through the description and it sounded ideal for my next move. I phoned up and spoke to a lady who first of all couldn't find it, then after explaining the price and details she found it, took my details and passed this over to a colleague called Zoe for a call back. Zoe phoned me back hours later and states did the previous lady state the property is of a, "non standard contruction" of which i replied no, nor did the listing state this on the day of listing this, but I notice they now have adjusted the listing. Zoe stated that please double check you can get a mortgage on it and so I went away and spoke to my mortgage advisor. My mortgage advisor wanted to know the type of build, so I left a rightmove enquiry followed up by a phone call answer machine message to ask please could they tell me the type of build. This was last week and they have ignored me. Disappointed from a potential buyers view as they lack the information or contact with there customers.

Young families can often be daunted, or even put off, buying an older property. The difference between this and buying a new property is essentially a whole different experience and, having bought 2 new properties in the past and having a nigh on awful experience with a larger national agent, Paul Fenton came to the rescue and allowed us to achieve our dreams of a character village property to raise our family. Every step in the process was made infinitely easier by the quality of service and frequency of communication, not to mention the knowledge in a 'no such thing as a stupid question' environment. We needed an additional survey, we knew why, we know who to ask, and the results were explained to us. When other legs of the sale (mortgage) slowed down, Alex, and the team, ensured we were swiftly back on track. Thank you Paul Fenton for getting us through the purchase of our dream home. I would strongly recommend use of Paul Fenton for any estate agency needs. Alex was a key figure in all of the above. He went above and beyond from day 1. Working out of hours so I could view the property, doing the same again so I could come back with my family. I felt looked down on by a number of agents at properties I was viewing, despite providing an AIP showing that the property was affordable. I think a lot of rural agents could take a leaf out of Alex' book when it comes to introducing young families/couples to this side of the housing market. Respect goes a very very long way and we were shown this in abundance, despite a lack of initial knowledge.

Good morning, Yes, Paul Fenton were brilliant, as we live in France, and so communication between us was needed. All was fine, including the contact with the people we were buying from. They were quite happy to do whatever we asked of them, Paul Fenton that is.. We are still in France, just selling and buying a house in England, ie London for Chard, so that was a lot more of a pain, mainly due to solicitors I am afraid to say. Why do they take so long to reply. I worked in conveyancing and yep there are a lot of papers, but it can be done.

Brilliant service from start to finish! Alex was happy to work with me on the sale of the house, although at the time the renovation wasn't complete! A photographer was organised and without doubt that aided towards a viewing and full asking price offer on the first viewing. The chain although short was complicated and the guys in the office were constantly on the case checking, phoning and keeping us updated. I hope not to move again for a while! But if I did, there is no question Paul Fenton estate agents are the only ones I'd go consider using. Buying and selling is stressful, it is a hassle. but they definitely made the process as easy as they can.

Customer service good. However house details failed to live up to the reality of the property once moved in. Sheds all rotten and having to get a complete rewire. We did get a survey, but things were hidden not allowing the extent of issuses.
