GoogleWell I must say that after all the negative stories you hear about Estate agents I can honestly say that my experience of Brian Thomas Estate Agents was completely positive. From initial engagement of their services, marketing, viewings and communication, all aspects were excellent.
We would like to personally thank Paul Wallace who helped us through the sale of our home, who went over and above what was expected of him as far as we understood, nothing was a problem for him. During this very stressful time he kept us fully up to date, reassured us and guided throughout. He protected us from the start with regard to finding the right buyer who was ready financially to purchase our home. There were quite a few hurdles during the process that Paul helped us through as well as advising, liasing and negotiating.
He also chased very poor solicitors on our behalf that had caused unnecessary delays in finalising exchange and completion of contracts.
I can honestly and wholeheartedly say that I recommended Paul @Brian Thomas Estates in the Woodford, Wanstead, Buckhurst Hill Chigwell areas and around N/E London and borders of West Essex. You will not find a better person for the sale of your home.

GoogleFollowing the sad passing of our Mother in the early part of last year (2025) we had call to use the services of Brain Thomas Estate Agents twice. Firstly in providing us with an urgent valuation on our late parent's home for the seeking of the Deed of Probate and secondly for the sale of the property itself, later the same year.
In both cases, Mike Driver - Estate Agent and Manager at Brian Thomas's Romford / Chadwell Heath Office could not have been Helpful, Understanding, Considerate and Professional through-out our entire dealings with him and his team, especially given the sensitive and emotional loss we were dealing with at that time.
Indeed thanks to Mike and his colleagues hard work and efforts in finding prospective buyers, arranging viewings and then negotiating and securing a final deal for the sale of the property, the whole process went through really smoothly and without any fuss in a very quick time.
We would have no hesitation in using Brian Thomas Estate Agents again and would happily recommend them to anyone else Selling or Buying a property through them in the future.

As a FTB and being in a very strong position, I placed an offer on a property that I had recently viewed. I have dealt with Sherry and Mike. They were extremely unresponsive to emails as well as calls. Neither did they answer questions related to the property via email and I had called on multiple occasions!When I eventually got hold of Mike I was told the vendor wouldn’t accept an offer below a certain price (which was still within my budget) so I was still interested and AGAIN no replies to my questions for days! After calling once again days later, the manager picked up and I was told that the price the vendor will accept has now gone up again (still within my budget!)! At this point, however, I completely lost interest..not in the property BUT just the way I was being treated!! I have highlighted the poor customer service and communication!! This is by far the worst Estate Agent I have come across and I have dealt with a lot of them!!Fully understand circumstances and offers can swiftly change, however this is NOT how you treat potential buyers! And when I mentioned ‘review‘, I had suddenly received a voice message from Mike (despite it being his day off!) a few hours later.It should not take ‘writing a review’ to treat someone with respect!! Stay away as they are time wasters!!Update: I had another voice message from Mike this morning stating answers have now been provided by the vendor - funny how quick things can change in the span of 24hrs after a complaint! Suddenly all the answers are have been provided - Absolutely ridiculous! Taking ownership and accountability for your poor service would just do!- - - - - - - - - - - -*As mentioned clearly during the call yesterday, the increased offer was done verbally during the call I initiated (as usual) with Mike when asked if this is fine and I answered YES! So to now highlight, there was no email is simply ridiculous!Not ONCE have I been contacted by you (unless I called) up until yesterday post the complaint and suddenly all the answers appeared! This is a VERY JUSTIFIED and TRUTHFUL review of how I was treated! And as I mentioned yesterday, I can only write reviews based on MY experience and looking at other reviews, it does not seem like I was the only one! I prefer to work with EAs that understand the core value of customer service which clearly was not provided by you! Best regards

We are somewhat surprised at the review as we strive to deliver the best service possible at all times, as I hope is depicted by the high proportion of 5 star reviews we regularly receive from our customers. I understand that you have been speaking with Mike and Sherry and after reviewing the emails and files, I can confirm that a response to your offer last week was sent to you within 24 hours.Mike only dealt with the file from Monday 13th April and he explained to you what amount the vendor was looking for, however after checking the files, no increased offer has been made by you. He also explained that your questions would be dealt with. However the questions that you wanted answering could only be answered by the vendor, as we didn’t have the information on file. After trying to make contact with the vendor he only received the answers back on Thursday 15th April and even though it was Mike’s day off, he took it upon himself to contact you.Mike has tried to call you numerous times including Thursday, Friday morning and Friday afternoon to update you. We feel this review is unfair considering the time frame and that we couldn’t answer your questions until the vendor returned our calls, which was out of our control. Mike has tried to call you numerous times to update you plus an email was sent to you explaining the delay and we now feel that our calls have been ignored by you to fuel your unjustified review.However we are a professional company and we are still keen to assist you with you with your potential purchase and resolve your concerns. But please do not ignore our calls.

We used Brian Thomas Estate Agents when we bought our previous home 23 years ago and so met with them and appointed them again. Thank goodness we did! What started out as a straightforward transaction - listing, several viewings, several offers, accepting one and then going through the legal process - ended up as a stressful time after the first buyer dropped out just as we were about to exchange contracts. We felt very well supported by Mike and Paul during this time. The property was quickly relisted and soon under offer. We then experienced several other issues (it really did feel at times like what could go wrong did go wrong) but throughout the whole sale process we felt very well supported. In the end, we had a successful sale which enabled us to buy our dream home, and this was entirely down to the hard work of Mike and Paul (and our solicitor). We have no hesitation in recommending Brian Thomas Estate Agents for your next move.
