We have recently sold our late Uncle’s house with Hunters of Castleford. We have never sold a property before and was feeling rather anxious, but our fears were unfounded as everyone was very kind, pleasant and professional, consistently keeping us informed and up to date with the process. Caitlin was the first person who we spoke to, she greeted us with a warm smile and generally got the process started. Lisa’s expertise and confidence became very evident as she guided us through the process, always returning my phone calls in a timely manner. Max at Hunters Castleford has been great from day one. He introduced himself right at the start of our tenancy and checked in to see how we were doing, which instantly put us at ease. Super friendly, really helpful, and just easy to chat to. He then gave us a call a week later purely to see how we were settling in, how the move was going, and if we needed anything at all. It was such a nice, personal touch and not something you get very often. Max is genuinely down to earth and approachable, and it feels like he actually cares rather than just ticking boxes. A real credit to Hunters Castleford and a pleasure to deal with. Honestly from applying for property to getting the keys every single one of them have been amazing, especially Beth! We’ve had a fantastic experience with Hunters Castleford and honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Beth supported us with our application from start to finish, right up to getting the keys, and she was brilliant throughout. She was always happy to help, answered any questions or queries we had, and was so down to earth and approachable. She really made the whole process smooth and stress free. Max has since taken over as our tenancy agent and our main point of contact, and he has been wonderful. At the very start of our tenancy, Max called my wife to introduce himself and check in, which was such a nice touch. He was friendly, helpful, and reassuring. He then followed up a week later to make sure everything was going well, checked whether the small issues we’d raised had been resolved, and made sure their electrician had been in touch to check the property. That level of care and follow up really stood out to us. Hands down, this is the best letting agency we’ve worked with. We recently bought a house as first time buyers through Hunters, unfortunately we had many hurdles due to solicitors etc but hunters really did exceed expectations. Lisa kept in touch constantly and chased solicitors weekly which really helped, she always updated me and we finally got there in the end. Hunters were my last hope at being a landlord. I moved to them after a bad experience with a previous tenent. I was anxious moving forwards and trusting a great tenent would be found. I chose the hands off approach and didn’t trust that would be exactly what I would get. When in fact they did all and more for me. The tenent we chose were amazing I never had any hassle of any sort, any issues that arose were sorted in house as that was my wish. Keria was a wonder women with communication I always trust her. James in letting a took care of everything also from choosing the tenent to them leaving after contracts had ended. I have since sold 2 property's through hunters. Sally, Lisa and Mehak have being amazing also. Everything has being so clear and organised. Things done when they say they will be. From Frustration to Full-On Respect. When I first moved in through Hunters, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. Teething problems cropped up, bits not sorted properly, a few hiccups with the setup, and I’ll be honest, I was well unimpressed. Felt like I was chasing my tail from the get-go, thinking, “This is going to be a faff.” But this is where Hunters really showed what they’re about. Beth, right from the off, handled the letting like a pro. Everything was crystal clear, no fluff, and her communication was second to none. I mean, proper thorough, always kept me in the loop, no question too small, no delay on replies. She brought that rare mix of professionalism and personality that makes you feel like you’re genuinely being looked after. And when issues popped up, her and Max didn’t shy away. The team at Hunters, Castleford have been nothing but professional and supportive from start to finish. The viewing process was straightforward and simple and a special mention to Mehak who provided sound advice and help during the viewing process! Once the process of buying began, this is where I really was impressed with the level of service. A huge shoutout to Lisa who was assigned to support me. Lisa showed care and attention throughout, often answering weekend and late evening messages (sorry!) and above all else, kept me in the loop with the sellers situation and just showing a genuine care and attention that all first-time buyers should have! One of my worst experience buying a house from hunters

One of my worst experience buying a house from hunters auction. House was listed on website and tenanted for a fixed amount of rent which I was told by the auction agent called Robert. Also house was in bad state but got told tenants don’t care so why do you. Only to find out later on that tenants have never paid anywhere near that amount and it’s so much lower. So was lied to first of all and then later to meet the tenants and for them to tell us all the work they was promised and they wanted the house fixing top to bottom. What an absolute joke and waste of time and money. Keep your money and go elsewhere they will tell you anything just to sell a house that is overpriced

Rude, poor service - a must avoid for renters

Rude, get passed around from pillar to post while they try to ignore your requests or questions. Tried for years to get them to fix things but just continually fell on deaf ears. Now they're trying to claim issues are my fault which are down to shoddy contractors (which they use consistently, including at one point despite having had yearly gas checks, I get told that the previous 6 years hasn't been done properly and the build up that caused a leak was because of this. Everything is everyone's issue but theirs. Renters, avoid at all costs!
