It was/is stressful and it took a long time to sell just over 20 weeks but it appears lots of properties took a very long time due to the way the market was/is. Unfortunately Reeds Rains seem to use underhand tactics to create a bidding war - citing GDPR as a reason they cannot disclose current offers on their properties, which is not true. GDPR prevents them from disclosing any personal details on the bidder, but not the offer price / bid that they placed.I would not trust a company that outright lies to customers, to create a bidding war between interested parties. I decided against placing an offer on the property for this reason. Not an agency to be trusted.**UPDATED** This review is regarding Reeds Rains, Chesterfield Road, Sheffield.

GoogleThere simply are not enough magnificent words to describe the team at Reeds Rains in Carrickfergus. Not only are Lynsey and her team the absolute best at what they do, but they do it with humanity, grace and professionalism. Worth specifically mentioning Chris and Karen who are the definition of patient, punctilious, actuated and really genuinely care about the client as well as prospective buyers. Nothing was too much hassle and they were so communicative and approachable that they made a daunting experience an absolute breeze. Throughout our long 11 month search for a new home, we dealt with almost all other agents in the area while viewing and offering on properties. Without exception, no other agent came close to conducting themselves the way the team at Reeds Rains did. I emphasise this for context because some interactions with other agents, became so exceedingly stressful to the point that we walked away from purchases. My advice to anyone selling a property in BT38 and surrounding area is to use this team. There are not enough superlatives in the world to describe how magnificent they are on every level and they have our sincerest thanks and gratitude. A class act.

This was once a long and detailed review of my personal experience of renting through this branch over the past few years.The lettings manager from the branch contacted me by phone today (02/02/24) and after spending a little time reflecting on the first half of our conversation, ive decided to remove the contents of my original review, albeit not for the reasons said letting manager suggested during the call.My original rating, unfortunately remains the same.As part this amended review, I will say that I dont think Reeds Rains process of having a member of staff that the review relates to, call you, out of the blue, is the best approach to resolve issues raised on here. In my line of work, which granted, is very very different to this line of work, we ensure such issues are never dealt with by someone directly involved in the matter, and instead by one of our complaints team, who is usually from a different office. Im sure most would agree that this is a sensible approach in any business as it ensures fairness and impartiality and maybe a process Reeds Rains could consider adopting in the future? I don't feel as though I can go into detail about what was discussed today or the way they conducted the first half of the call, but, whilst we did manage to end the call on civil terms, I was left feeling somewhat bothered/upset by the way I was spoken to and also with some of the things that were said to me. So, in keeping with trustpilots' steer on providing constructive feedback, I believe some further training on how to conduct conversations with people and just some general customer service upskilling could be beneficial to that member of staff.I can say that we are now at a point where, hopefully, the ongoing issues we are having will be resolved soon.As I'm sure anyone reading this is aware, this is a review site, and my review rating is a reflection of my personal experience. I'm sure others have had different experiences, and this site is here to provide you with both the good and the bad. However, that being said, personally, I don't recommend this branch, based on the experiences I've personally had, which unfortunately, I no longer feel comfortable detailing on here.Just updating this as has come to light today that Reeds Rains have zero knowledge/recollection of the branch lettings manager, Lauren Sankey, phoning me from 01772336183 at 16:36 on 02/02/2024, where she spent the majority of the 16 minute 39 second phone call berating me, being unbelievably rude to me and also accusing me of slander. Hopefully that helps jog your memory.Now I've spoken directly to my landlord I feel a lot more comfortable in saying that this branch's lettings department is awful, they are genuinely the worst I have ever dealt with in all the years I've rented properties, which is sad, as up until a year or so ago, they were brilliant.

We requested an early tenancy termination with 6 months notice (to leave 2 months earlier than contracted due to buying a new build property). We have lived in the property for 7.5 years and never caused an issue. We are now less than 3 weeks away from moving and NOTHING has been done. Delays on responses from the agents for over 4-5 weeks at a time despite being chased, the house is still not up for relet online yet they are expecting us to be liable for all costs until another tenant occupies the property. The service has been nothing but abysmal. My garden is currently a hazard to both mine and my neighbours children due to a falling down fence in the garden which was reported over 4 MONTHS AGO!!! Again chased numerous times but nothing has been done. An ignition hob that hasn’t worked in the whole 7 years we’ve been here, damp in the bathroom for over a year yet the rent still went up last year given all these outstanding issues. Avoid renting from Reeds at all costs.

We're sorry you feel we have offered a service that has fallen short of what you expected. As you are aware, we had reached out to the landlord when we received your request to ask if you could break the contract. We do need to wait for consent to end a tenancy earlier than the fixed term and sometimes it can take a little while for the landlord to process what is involved and any costs they had not planned for. The maintenance team were reviewing the fence with you, your neighbour and the landlord in an attempt to determine ownership in advance of repairs being instructed. EXTREMELY pathetic property manager. I would have given negative/ zero stars if that was an option. Rented a property through their Manchester office and they haven't managed to fix even a SINGLE issue in two months, even though the issues are really petty. The property managers are extremely complacent and tend to forget they're supposed to deal with clients. When I first moved in, I was told it was a 'fully managed property' but never did I think it meant that it was a 'completely un-managed property'. You will not be given any landlord details to help fix your issues with them directly and Reeds Rains won't do anything for you either. They're just the middle party collecting rents and nothing else. Extremely dissatisfied with this WORST renting experience in my life. AVOID at all costs if you want some level of comfort and peace in your life!!

Everything! I have used a few estate agents over the years and I would say, these are by far the best I have dealt with. The staff are very professional, approachable and very quick to reply to queries. David is an asset to the company, nothing is to much trouble, he is a very hard worker and yet still remains pleasant and approachable. I am a bit of a forgetful fruitcake, but they have managed to keep me on track and everything is going great. The girls I have spoken to have all been lovely. If I were to sell my house again ( which I am never going to) I would use Reeds Rains with no hesitations.

Really awful company to deal with. They lie many times and avoid responsibility for their incompetence, Integrity is missing in bucketloads but greed is a paramount behaviour. Why this company is allowed to operate as a tenancy management company with utter contempt toward the customer is beyond me. Hard faced liars. Not a thread of sincerity. Absolutely stressful to deal with and will never go back.

Couldn’t of asked for anyone better then Abbie and Lorraine at Rotherham office from start to finish I have been in touch with them maybe every day in a week to get a update I completed my transfer over to one of their properties in a week From meeting Abbie on last Saturday at the property to look around I had a gut feeling I found my new home I told her my house was up for sale and didn’t want to pay other months rent and her and Lorraine made sure I didn’t have to by making sure I had my keys today (following Saturday)Would highly recommend this company

Let me give you some background first, my girlfriend and I had been living in a mouldy, cramped up tiny box bedroom at my toxic mums place where we were giving way too much for rent for where we was. After countless of knock backs being rejected for places around Cleethorpes, Immingham and Grimsby, but our first time dealing with Reeds Rains we now have our own place to call out own, and all thanks to the team at Grimsby town. A very special thanks to all the staff working there! I myself really appreciate everything they did! I highly recommend!

Reeds Rains Blackpool provide a shocking service to tenants/potential tenants. I viewed a property on Saturday and emailed after the viewing to say I was interested but needed the remnants of the previous tenant removing (including dirty pillows and shower gel) and some electrical things checking to confirm they all were in satisfactory working order. I expected at least an email to thank me for my interest but nothing so I called and left a message for the negotiator to call me back. No return call so I called again and was told by the other lettings person that the landlord had rejected my interest with no explanation available. The negotiator, Hannah, had left at this point. I left a message for her to call the following day and still no contact. I rang two more times and finally got to speak to her but she though being told no was satisfactory with no explanation. I said she was meant to negotiate with me and the landlord as without a tenant there is no let. I agreed to store the tat in the cellar and asked her to go back to the landlord. We then got cut off and I rang back and her colleague refused to transfer the call! I advised the Hannah was taking my details (again) and was going to speak to the landlord. She then put me on hold without warning and then came back to say that half an hour ago, the landlord had called to say that their friend was taking on the house. I left it here, but my partner called up today to show interest int he property and was told it was still available! So not only is the customer service atrocious, they are liars too! Avoid at all costs.

This is not okay. Along with the horrendous service I got with moving in, the staff at Reeds Rains Liverpool were meant to organise a maintenance and clean for after I moved in. Last week, I received a text from the contractor and I asked if they could come on Friday. On Friday, nobody came. When I called them, they sent me to voicemail. When I reached out on Monday to ask what happened, the contractor explained that they were unwell. No bother, I asked them to come on Wednesday. After some texts and emails, I received no confirmation that they would be at my flat on Wednesday. In none of those correspondence did the contractor once say “Yes, I’ll be with you on Wednesday morning,”. Today, Wednesday morning, I woke up to missed calls and texts asking where I was. How was I meant to know they would come to me on Wednesday when they didn’t even confirm that at all? When I called the contractor, her attitude was horrible. She said, “Do you want to keep going over the fact that there’s been a communication breakdown or do you want to get a cleaning booked?” before also saying that Reeds Rains only told her about two repairs that needed to be done. This contrasts the higher number of repairs that needed to be done in the property report, one of which was my bathroom sink plunger not working so now my sink is a Petri dish and has been since the weekend. I called up Reeds Rains and spoke with Oliver who said, “We can either find a new contractor or you’re going to have to grin and bear it with these ones,”. I had asked to be called back yesterday by Reeds Rains and I wasn’t. I have asked to be called back today and, as of 3:30pm, I haven’t been. Overall, horrible service from a supposed “full service property management” company and its contractors.

Very poor experience with Reeds Rains Stockton-on-Tees. We travelled over 3.5 hours for a confirmed viewing, but the agent arrived late and the tenant refused access, clearly showing the viewing had not been properly arranged. We waited for hours with no communication or callback from the branch despite being promised one. A completely wasted 7-hour round trip, loss of earnings, and very unprofessional service. Would not recommend.
