It has been a pleasure to rent from Citadel Homes during my time in Carlisle. The application process was smooth and straight forward, and Nikki kept me informed throughout. The property was clean, tidy and presentable. During the rental period, there were minimal issues and when raised, Nikki and the team dealt with them straight away. Citadel Homes is a very professional company and I would recommend to anyone looking to rent in the area, thanks Nikki and the team!

Have just moved out of a Citadel Home after nearly 5 years. If I wasn’t moving due to family, I’d be happy to spend many more years in my Citadel Home. The pride that Citadel take in their homes is fantastic. The upkeep and general maintenance is well looked after. Nikki has been fantastic during my tenure and I cannot be more grateful for her help and support. I would not look past returning to a Citadel Home in the future if I were to return to Denton Holme.

When i needed somewhere to live without the means for a deposit I looked to Citedal, I didnt quite meet the salary bracket for one of there properties at that time but they were compassionate and understanding and let me one of there homes. 5 years later and I am still here, They have great properties that are very well kept, they help when things go wrong and clearly have a great team of trades around them to act quickly. Special shout out to Nikki who is an absolute go to when you need to. Citedal are professional, prompt and personal, I have and will recommend them to anyone.

Been renting with Citadel Homes for almost a year now and can confidently say that we’ve had a great experience so far thanks to Nikki and the team always being friendly and approachable. Any maintenance needed in the property is always arranged and sorted quickly despite the office being closed on weekends. It’s also great that they allow their tenants to own dogs to add to the feeling of their houses feeling like a home but would love to see this potentially be expanded in the future to allow tenants to own a cat instead. We’re definitely more than happy to remain renting our property with Citadel Homes for the foreseeable future.

People of colour are not considered for their rentals. All we get is lame excuses from Nikki. i.e Need to have been employed for at least 1 year to be considered (if you have relocated to the area due to employment you won’t be given a chance) and then you wait to reach a year in your employment only to be given another excuse that a family of 4 can’t be in a 2 bedroom house mind you the 2 children are of the same gender. Really disturbing.

We recently moved in to one of Citadel's new build properties at Fenton. This is the third newbuild property we have had over the last 20 years and is by far the best build quality yet. The design is so thoughtful and they have included a number of nice touches we just wouldn't have got with a larger builder. The quality of the finish and materials used is 1st class. Every trade used has clearly taken care in their work. We have encountered a couple of minor snagging issues / problems, but very few compared to our other houses ........... and they couldn't have been more helpful investigating / fixing. The whole team is friendly, but particular mention needs to go to Nikki who has been our main point of contact in the office. The site is nearing completion and although we have only been here a few weeks I will be sad to see the guys go as they always give a wave and a smile and they have kept the site so tidy it is a credit to the company.
