As a first-time buyer, I was understandably nervous about starting the property-buying process, especially going into my first mortgage-advisor meeting on my own with very little knowledge. Jake and Richard made the whole experience so much easier and far less intimidating. Jake has been absolutely brilliant from the very beginning, working around my work schedule to arrange a meeting with Richard. He has also been fantastic at finding properties that match what I'm looking for, and thanks to his help I have my very first viewing this weekend. Richard was equally fantastic during our meeting. He took the time to explain how everything works in a way that was easy to understand, which really helped put my mind at ease. I can't thank them enough for making my first experience as a future buyer such a positive one.

After the loss of my son, Ive had to have my son's house valued which was so hard, Tim Davies came to value the house and I cannot thank him enough for his kind and caring words at such a difficult time. Tim has been in regular contact with me, explaining what happens regarding certain issues. I am so grateful that I had a person so lovely and caring. Tim is amazing and has helped me so much. Disappointing experience

Disappointing experience. Partner went to view a house and was told the landlord wanted to choose someone that day. He was advised they would email everyone after the viewing and ask them to submit their details regarding whether they wanted the house, their income etc.We had no email. We called for an update, but there was none. We called again and asked for a call back that day as we were interested, but there was no call back. This went on for several days with no call back given as promised.Eventually the house was changed to 'agreed let' online so we called to ask what was going on. We were told that the landlord was still deciding and someone would be in touch, but they weren't. We chased again, but nothing.Eventually, we gave up as the whole process was frustrating and badly managed. I appreciate that things in this industry can change fast but that's no excuse for not keeping people in the loop. Clearly a very badly organised branch.

Jasmin Hersi was a lovely lady who showed me around and was knowledgeable about all the questions I asked. She didn’t rush me and made me feel that I could take my time, which is important when you’re spending a lot of money on a property that may be your future home. Staff have very poor communication skills. It was very hard to get hold of anyone who knew what was going on with my property purchase at all. I was told wrong information by staff, and always had to chase for updates. It was an exceptionally disappointing experience. I just wanted simple updates and for someone to know what the status was - I was disappointed.

Recently had a viewing with Louise. Louise was very welcoming on arrival and we both felt comfortable with her during the viewing. Louise was able to answer all of our questions about the property and told us specific details about certain parts as we went room to room - Basically, it was evident that she had prepped in advance and the communication / flow was balanced very well, education vs. chit-chat Communication after the viewing has been via email which has been great, speedy and friendly - no problems whatsoever.

Aaron Sullivan made the experience of selling a house we’ve lived in for 40 years stress-free. His manner was warm and encouraging. He was very knowledgeable, kept us well informed throughout, and gave us confidence in his advice. He acted professionally, with great communication at all times and made us feel that our business was very important to him. Even the photos he took were excellent and showed put house in the best possible light. He recognised that the best way to sell our house was an open day and out of 27 viewings that day, he achieved 14 offers, 13 of which were at asking price or above. We eventually sold for over £30k more than expected. We are extremely pleased with the whole experience and can’t recommend Aaron more highly.

Avoid. We put our house up with this company and after 2 to 3 months without any viewings or even being advised of any interest, other than being told, when my wife rang to enquire, that there where just a few calls asking about the location of the property.My wife then phoned to explain to the sales manager at Darlows, that we had made a decision to take our property off the market as we felt it may not have been the right time to sell to which the manager agreed.Arrangements were then made to have the sign taken down and the property taken from all marketing sites. All good we thought.Then, my wife received an email with a standard notice of Darlows being able to still claim commission in a case where a sale is made to anyone introduced by them, which is acceptable and reasonable. However, at the bottom of the email it listed a number of people they claim to have introduced to us, which is incorrect information.We have had no viewings booked and no calls by Darlows advising people being introduced to us. This kind of tone to an email with an almost implied threat of action is so unprofessional and unethical. We signed up with the company in good faith and feel shocked they are taking this stance. We now regret signing with them and would, from our experience advise others to stay clear of them.In addition we were pusuaided to pay £65 up front towards, what we understood, was towards a set fee for the legal services / conveyancing.However, we were then contacted by a legal firm who said were referred by Darlows and told us we had to pay them an upfront fee. When we advised that we had already paid a £65 fee we were told this fee was nothing to do with them and was a charge Darlows charge thier customers for introducing this firm to them. A bit naught we think and not clearly explained. Our experiences dealing with Darlows has not been good we would not want others to experience the same. We have been left with a bad taste in our mouths and a not very good impression of them to say the least.It amazes me how companies like this spend so much on marketing themselves to get clients, when all they have to do it look after people in the first place.

In a few days, my feedback was taken seriously and I had a successful viewing of the property I'm interested in…. Thank you Elinor!Shocking customer service! I called to enquire about a viewing & the lady I spoke to sounded bored. I asked about a viewing for a property I liked the look of & she bluntly asked “have you got a house you have to sell”, with slight attitude, which took me back a bit. I said yes, to which she sighed, quite loudly & replied “fine, I can book a viewing” - if first impressions count, then I’d advise that you put people on the phone, who actually know how to engage clients. What sort of attitude is that to have, when your customer facing?

The appallingly stressful Lettrak system would have put us off Darlows forever if it hadn't been for kind, patient and efficient Emma Wilson of Lettings holding our hands through the process. After moving into our rental property, we experienced a period of frustration with a seemingly inaccessible Property Management team. Then Sophie Peake appeared on our horizon and things looked up at once. She was helpful, efficient and reliable; such a relief. Just recently we have been in the kind and very capable hands of Lauren Kierle who not only sorts out any problems efficiently and, importantly, follows up promptly but also goes above and beyond. For example, our Landlord recently had work done on this property. Even though this wasn't within the scope of Darlows' management, Lauren was extremely helpful in liaising with our Landlord when we had concerns during the process. Her cheerful and willing assistance really helped to ease our anxieties at a difficult time. We are really grateful to her and congratulate the Albany Road staff for being a five star team.
