We were recently considering relocating to Herne Bay, from contacting Wards we were really impressed with the service we received. For us the stand out star was Adam, his approach, handling and knowledge really put us at ease. We have tried contacting other agents and the ones we spoke with don’t come close to Wards. Unfortunately our circumstances have changed and we are no longer looking in the area, our only wish is we find another agent as competent as Adam and the team.

A big thank you to staff at Wards (Gillingham branch). From the first visit by Gary, who was very professional explaining the entire process to us, this was our first move after over 38 years in the same property. All the staff were helpful and able to answer our questions. Spoke to Hannah and Adam on occasion but mainly dealt with Nicole and Kim, the progressor, both of whom worked tirelessly to get us over the finish line. We really can’t thank them enough.

After researching, Wards of Tenterden were the obvious choice from the number of local sales. Alex the branch manager was our first point of contact. He explained all options clearly allowing us to make our choice without feeling pressured. From then our main point of contact was Becky. A superstar, local resident with a good knowledge of Tenterden. She has an absolutely great manner, is relaxed, whilst remaining professional and courteous at all times. Nothing felt too much trouble and she kept us fully informed of all visits and progress during the sale. She is a great asset to Wards.

We bought a house through Wards and just completed the transaction and occupied the house. Ms Maria Meddings was our Senior Sales Progressor for our purchase. I am so grateful that she updated us from time to time concerning the progress of the transaction and communications of the solicitors from both parties to ensure the progress of the transaction was smooth and effective. Would recommend Wards Estate Agents

We used the Herne Bay Wards office to sell our property and all the staff there were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Graham was our first point of contact for pricing the property and ensuring that the Wards photographer had all the best views of our house including a 360 degree video. Wards of Canterbury - Jade especially!

I recently chose Wards of Canterbury to sell my parents home, after meeting with Jade Thorne. Selling our family home hadn't been an easy decision to make and had been an emotional experience. Jade showed great understanding and empathy of the situation right from the start and this continued through to the sale of the property. As completion got closer, I even received the odd 'check in' call just to make sure I was ok. Wards were proactive in their approach to market the property and to arrange viewings. We were lucky to receive an offer quickly and although (as there often is when selling property) there were a couple of challenges along the way, Jade kept me fully informed and updated at every opportunity. From a previous great experience in selling and buying our current property, we decided to go with Wards again as they did so well for us nearly 5 years ago. They persuaded us to see a property we thought we didn't want - they were right...we have loved living in it. Now we want to move elsewhere in Kent.We have been on the market for about 4 weeks and have a buyer and a complete chain already. We think a realistic pricing given the local market here in Herne Bay currently, was spot on. For that, of course Graham deserves a particular shout out but every contact we had with Adam, Ashley, Maria, & Grace has been great. Perhaps our most frequent contact has been with Emily - cheerful, helpful and efficient. She deserves an ice-cream from the posh shop!

Appalling from start to finishThe head of lettings appeared professional at the first meeting but it was steeply downhill from there. She went away and set up a number of viewings without bothering to tell me the date. The first I knew of the viewings was when the Wards person turned up to show people around.What’s more, the head of lettings didn’t bother to brief the colleague who managed the viewings, as a result of which I had to repeat to this person everything I had already said about the property and the rental.Wards then recommended a low-quality tenant (the only one they could find) who didn’t even meet the affordability criteria. The tenant proved troublesome and ultra-demanding and Wards simply accepted everything she complained about without any scrutiny. Wards seem to think that window latches and bathroom tiles break of their own accord. As a result, I ended up paying for the damage done by the tenant, which should rightly have been taken from the deposit.I gave Wards permission to switch the utility accounts, but they didn’t just switch the names, they also put the tenant onto a terrible tariff (in my view and that of the tenant) to earn a commission. Cheap, nasty and very unprofessional.There is so much more terrible service from Wards and Arun Estates, a name they try to hide under, there will be a second review.

Morgan and colleagues were so professional when we were looking for our home. The staff at the Tenterden office of Ward’s Estate Agents, especially Becky & Alex, couldn’t have been more helpful & professional in selling our property.The sale’s brochure was excellent, all staff were always extremely friendly and polite, and went out of their way to not only make themselves fully conversant with every detail of our property, but also all the benefits of its location. As a consequence they weren’t just able to sell the house quickly, but also to the right purchaser for us, a family with no property to sell and no chain.In particular we can’t praise Becky highly enough for the exceptional service she provided in persuading the purchaser to view our house when they were more Interested in another area. We recently purchased a property using wards of herne bay. We're currently in the final stages of the purchasing process. We had two visits to the property, and were welcomed by Adam to our second visit. Adam was so helpful and really sold the property to us, he even envisioned future changes we might make with us, he really embraced the showing and is probably the reason we decided to make an offer. Again at this stage Adam was so helpful in negotiation an offer for us and arranging a consultation with Steve. We were kept in the loop throughout the offer process and had a great meeting with Graham to ensure everything was in place to put us in the best position to purchase. Since the offer was accepted we have been in the very capable hands of Maria whom ensure we're provided with weekly updates and chasing solicitors on our behalf. We also used wards recommended solicitor at Martin Tolhurst. Alex and Tina did a fantastic job…

Alex and Tina did a fantastic job selling my property. The property was on for only a week with dozens of viewers lined and and an offer around the week mark. Alex and Tina were priceless in managing the soft elements of the legalities of the sale. As our buyers were first time buyers they were not sure what to do or what to expect; frankly their solicitor wasn’t much help and it was Alex and Tina guiding them on what they had to do and what to instruct their solicitor to do. Without them I’m sure we’ll still be on the market.
