GoogleMy son rents with this firm. They were quite responsive in the prospecting stage. However the delivery of service during the tenancy has been poor. This has been exacerbated by an extremely poorly finished house. Problems have included: • Leaking roof that took weeks to fix • Mould growing in the communal living area • 3 towel radiators that weren't affixed to the wall resulting in one falling off the wall • The broken radiator left the house with no heating over a weekend in February. • They had fence panels to the rear garden removed, leaving the house exposed to a busy road and left like that despite requests to enclose the back garden because of security concerns In general they have shown poor response times to call outs and not inspired confidence. I understand they are not the owner of the property but given they are the legal entity we contracted with I believe it is their responsibility to ensure the property is safe for student accommodation. This property was refurbished by some talentless workmen that must have been in a rush to get to the next job leaving the house unfit in my opinion. Given what they charge there is no excuse for providing a house and service of this poor quality. This house was my son's first experience of renting, outside of Halls. He doesn't want to do it again and quite frankly I don't blame him.

GoogleFirst time I have used varsity to help find a house for the year and they are very professional and lovely, they found us a lovely home for the next year within a week or so and was easily able to give us 2 house viewing which was very nice and every one of their staffs are so nice and welcoming when you go in their office. And if you have a question about anything they respond very quickly.

GoogleToby has been wonderful in helping us move in. Getting your first house as a student is a very scary and exciting procedure, Toby has made going through this as easy as possible, and I am very grateful for it. House that we are letting is a lovely house, well maintained and not bad pricing.

GoogleAfter a nightmare experience in our second year with extremely unreliable estate agents, toby has restored our faith! He is always happy to sort out any issues we have and has been really fast and efficient! The House is really nicely decorated and is a perfect student house. I would really recommend!

Google2 of my flat mates couldn’t get guarantors so we had to pull out and therefore ended up losing £250. Honestly all they care about is money. Could have refunded me the money as they could easily find other tenants for the house, instead they stole my money.NegativeProfessionalism, Value
Hi Lynda, I'm sorry that you felt the need to leave a negative review of your experience with us. We make it clear that all students need to have a Guarantor in place before reserving a property and highlighted that your reservation payments were non-refundable if you applied for the property and then had to withdraw from the tenancy weeks' later (which was the case when you applied back in 2018). We always offer the opportunity to switch reservation payments to another property of your liking and work with companies who offer Guarantor services. All the best,

GoogleThe house that we are letting is absolutely beautiful, and Toby has been fantastic in answering all of my emails and worries. Would definitely recommend Varsity to everyone, they are reliable and suitable for students and will not rip you off, definitely worth the price that you pay for!

GoogleProperty you get what you pay for. We pay less so have more problems with property but Varsity is very quick at replying to our issues and resolving them- bathroom window fixed within a week and oven seen to within 2 weeks so very happy with service.

GoogleThey are very understanding and always find ways to help the students they are accommodating. Honestly a great company to have. Landlords are also very understanding. They helped me and my roommates specifically with the situation occurring at the moment and gave us the right support we needed.

GoogleAmazing letting agency, especially for students! My agent was Saphy, really nice and easy going person, on time and perfect at explaining and showing the property. Any questions are answered really well and properties really do vary so you have a wide range of places in Canterbury to choose from which is ideal for a student. Really good experience would recommend!
