Lisa Cook went above and beyond her role and really was fully responsible for helping us move despite multiple hurdles faced with our mortgage application etc. It was not a straight forward chain or journey but her guidance, advice and patience was incredible and she even ended up supporting the whole chain eventually as other sales progressors were hard to contact. We met with Jake |Chamberlain of Miles & Barr at a property to let. He was professional with a good degree of amiability throughout our meeting. In addition he appeared at all times to give a believable air of honesty which was refreshing in the present situation. We took up an inordinate amount of his time with questions and hypothetical scenarios and at no time did we feel that he had anything else to do except concentrate on us, the customer. Our appointment with Jake was very good as we had an unusual situation which he assured us would not be a problem an he gave us advice which we valued. It is a shame that we did not apply for the rental as Jake was such a likeable face to Miles & Barr. Due to our experience with Jake we would readily recommend the company

The kids love the big garden space and place to play football, and Mark can finally build his workshop! It’s always stressful selling a property, particularly when solicitors can be so unresponsive, however Louise was very professional and kept us in the loop all the way. She even took calls / e mails when on holiday to try and get the sale over the line. First class from Louise and the Miles and Barr team in Margate.

Me and my expecting partner were look to move back to the Thanet area, and I can’t be more pleased with the service, work rate and general help that I have received for Miles and Barr. We was in a time limit situation which added pressure to the whole ordeal but all the staff were so great in assisting with bookings, viewings and communication. Anna who handled our application once we had found a suitable place went above and beyond with her personal service and work rate and without her hard work we would still be looking. A big thank you Anna and all at miles and Barr who have made this move possible. We have a dream place found within our limited time fame and budget.Thank you all once again for your impeccable service and professionalism and all who went the extra mile

Miles and Barr are very proactive and honest. They are confident with their selling strategies and know how to implement them for eveyone's benefit. The staff in the Cliftonville Office are exceptionally helpful and are happy to talk anything through with you at any point. I have been through a house selling and buying process with them recently, and in particular the progression officer Louise Daly was a great support and extremely professional. I would recommend you use this estate agency.

Unfortunately, we had a poor experience with the Canterbury sales team for our first attempted purchase - we were not told the property was going through probate until after we had spent circa £1500 on surveys and legal fees. £1500 and approximately 2 months of wasted time.Once we moved from the sales team to sales progression for the second property we were very well looked after and Rebecca was superb - see below.Rebecca in sales progression was excellent. Communication is so important and she was accessible and kept us right up to date. I really felt she wanted to get things moving as much as we did. I was confident she was working hard behind the scenes liaising with the legal teams and the vendor.

The staff at Miles & Barr were excellent. Max who facilitated the viewing was very punctual and knowledgeable, and no question was too much trouble. Sian in the Lettings Department was a real professional, very courteous and again was always willing to answer questions. Her speed of response within the whole process, from application to confirming the letting, was exemplary, and her level of communication was superb. All I can say is that the service overall was outstanding and that I would highly recommend Miles and Barr.

I contacted Miles n Barr Tenterden Kent for a valuation on my house by email a male agent phoned me and made me feel very uncomfortable he was extremely condescending to the point where I was feeling very hurt he made me feel like I wasn't good enough for their services I have a beautiful 4 bed semi in an equally beautiful part of Kent now were talking about October 2023 where most people are reluctant to put their house up for sale and the economy is at its worst so you would think that estate agents would be working harder to get some properties on their books but this man had such an awful attitude I'm a very friendly lady always helping others the best I can always polite but this male agent really pushed me to the limits he would not stop he had aggressive attitude, has no people skills and absolutely no empathy for people I had the phone on loud speaker and my husband was listening who was appalled by the agents attitude, I said to the agent if you don't want our business it's fine I can always go somewhere else he said ok and I was about to reply and he put the phone down on me !!I left a message on their website asking for the manager to please call me but I've had no response hence this review.Thank you for your reply Miles n Barr. Had a message been left to call your branch I would of called you back by return however as no message was left (on either landline or mobile) that would have been impossible ! Other local agents must be benefiting from your unprofessional behaviour, a message to prospective vendors please don't let my experience with Miles & Barr put you off instructing alternate agents.

I understand your property has been on the market with several estate agents over the last couple of years and disappointingly remains unsold, so you are looking to change estate agents and contacted us. We pride ourselves in giving honest advice on price and marketing and have a duty of care to do so. Agreeing to market a property at a price that the market dictates is not accurate or is too optimistic will only further delay finding a buyer for you. Having spoken to the branch manager, Joe, he advises he has called you on various occasions but hasn’t yet received a returned phone call from you. I completely agree with a previous comment citing 'Misleading practices and lack of accountability'I strongly advise anyone not to use them or to move to another agent after my stressful and upsetting experience.If you are tied in, do not believe anything they tell you and insist on receiving all communication and confirmation of conversations from them in writing so that you have a paper trail of everything you are told. Make sure you attend all viewings with them if possible. Speak to any proposed buyers yourself and double check everything . If your property is empty then do not allow them to access without you attending. Regularly check on your property. I wanted an apology for their underhand practices, which potentially cost me thousands, but all I got was more lies and denials. No apology, no accountability.

As Executor of her Will I have just completed the sale of my mother-in-law's flat using M&B's Westgate Branch. Throughout the team were excellent. There were some frustrating delays as always seems to the case but I was proactively updated on all developments by the whole team. Special mention goes to our Progressor, Debbie Mead who was excellent. She really seemed to "own" the result for the family given that the Estate proceeds could not be distributed until the sale was closed. The level of focus was much appreciated given that she must have had other transactions to manage. I would thoroughly recommend the whole team.

We have dealt with her since she was at Advanced lettings and her professionalism and drive to help and always find a solution to a problem is a credit to her. She always has the time to give when you call (and sometimes I do drive her mad I'm sure), but she is always ready to listen. Amy is time effective and we never have to wait very long for a response.
