I’ve been with them for 2 painful years. They do not have your best interests at heart. Shabby post inspection left me with £300 of repairs, if there is an issue they choose inflated contractors costs for ease, rather the looking for a practical, cost effective option. Need a speedy email response… maybe in 7 days. Never again

We had a very disappointing experience with John Shepherd Lettings at the end of our tenancy. Significant deductions were proposed from our deposit for cleaning and full redecoration, despite the check-in report already recording marks, chips, and general wear in multiple areas.

Been a tenant with John Shepherd for over 7 years with no issues and recently moved into our second property with them, any repairs have always been dealt with promptly and efficiently, and staff always respond quickly and couldn’t be more friendly or helpful. Sam at Burton branch is amazing, extremely trustworthy and genuine and always willing to help as best as she can. Can’t fault anything.

GoogleThis agency doesn’t deserve a star. I accidentally paid rent (£1,450) for a month after my tenancy ended and contacted John Shepherd the same day to request a refund. Instead of resolving it, they delayed for days and then only refunded £868.29, keeping £580.71 with no clear explanation. When I called to ask why, staff avoided my calls and kept promising call-backs that never happened. I still moved out that month. Now, over a year later, they’re emailing me demanding £120 for an end-of-tenancy scheme. Extremely unprofessional, stressful, and lacking transparency. I would not recommend this agency to anyone. Avoid at all cost

I have been with John Shepherd for a number of years and I have always found them to be completely efficient and reliable. They respond immediately when there is something to be dealt with and then deal with it! I have always been happy with the contractors they use. They take things seriously. I am currently dealing with Lara Soars at she has been very easy and pleasant to deal with, as well as being super efficient and responsive. We have never had a bad experience with any member of staff we have dealt with.
