We have recently had a help to buy valuation survey completed and then needed a desktop valuation extension to the survey. The desktop survey was completed and sent to me in less than 24 hours! Debbie has been so helpful and understanding. Thank you so much for all your help, this has been the only none stressful part of moving house!

I have used Boot & Son for many years. I would never reuse a company if they lacked the service element.Up until now,the service has been very good from both the directors -Tim (commercial) & Amy (residential) and all the staff. Jackie is currently dealing very promptly and efficiently with a couple of properties... she's really "on the ball". Keep it up!

We used Boot & Son for a RICS survey as our property was obtained via a shared ownership. We were quite nervous as we were informed that you can get some really unexperienced valuators that would really undervalue your home. However, Debbie gave us a warm introduction to the company and the experience totalled over 30 years between the two RICS surveryors which help put our minds at ease. The process was painless, Amy who visited us was so polite and very informative and we had the report back within a very timly manor. Tim Boot came to our property as an independent chartered surveyor to give a diminutive valuation of our home for an insurance claim. He advised me that the value of the property was,…. “Off the record”…...“land value”! due to the condition of the property and what was required to make it mortgageable again. We are in the process of a claim of negligence against another chartered surveyor who advised us that the property we was about to purchase was structurally sound? Not quite, Red Ash…. So many red flags missed. Knowing what we know now we would’ve never purchased the property. If I could give 1/2 a star I would, as it took him 4 months to do the report and then did a complete U turn on his valuation. Really bad business in my opinion and as a professional person you shouldn’t say one thing and then do another.

I do not have any contractional relationship with you since I am solely retained by your allegedly negligent surveyors insurers. The delay in reporting, of which you were aware, was due to me awaiting further information and costings from my clients’ other professional advisors. I would be extremely surprised if your solicitors have not advised you that the proper and correct manner in which to challenge my valuation would be for you to retain another valuer. He was really helpful, explained everything and answered all of my questions. Once the sale was in progress I had regular updates from Wendy Brown who liaised with my solicitor at every stage and kept me informed via email and regular phone calls. I wanted to rent a house with my partner. We applied the first ones for it and they told us that we don't have the necessary budget to rent it..after almost 3-4 days..in the conditions in which we far exceeded the required budget. They rented another couple's house (on the grounds that we are not English), and then they found an excuse to take us out of the scheme. Now, after a month or so, they "bombard" my partner with offers. p.s. We rented a house immediately after you rejected us! Proof that you are a liar and that we fit perfectly in the budget chapter.

However the affordability criteria is dictated by the referencing company not ourselves. We are pleased that you have now moved into a property and wish you all the best there. However in light of the fact that following us advising your partner that he did not meet the affordability requirements, his brother came to our offices and was abusive and threatening to staff members and had to be removed from the premises by the police and the subsequent abusive emails we have received from your partner we do consider the review to be unwarranted. Sold and bought properties with Boot+Son.They were brilliant from beginning to end.Valued our property fairly and then marketed they dealt with all of the viewings, pointed us in the right direction for solicitors requesting quotes on our behalf also reccomending surveyors etc.We also bought our next property from them they worked well between us and the vendors.We were very fortunate in that the whole process from valuation +sale of our house to purchase +completion of our new property took 9 weeks.
