I am extremely disappointed with the…

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by this agency. It has now been over a month since I moved out of the property, and I have still received no clear response regarding the return of my deposit. Despite repeated attempts to obtain an update, communication has been poor and unhelpful. The most concerning aspect is that the agency’s advice has simply been to hire a solicitor in the hope that this might put pressure on the landlord. Rather than actively assisting in resolving the issue, they appear to have shifted the responsibility and cost onto the tenant. A letting agency should act professionally, communicate effectively, and help facilitate a fair and timely resolution of deposit matters. Unfortunately, this has not been my experience. I would advise prospective tenants to think carefully before using this agency.

Aaron was an amazing help

Aaron was an amazing help. As soon as I spoke with him regarding re renting my flat he put me on the right 'track' in regards to everything I needed to do or not to do. The previous tenants left the flat in a real mess and Aaron recommended certain businesses that dealt with many of my concerns ie getting rid of rubbish, where to get an EPC from etc. As soon as the flat was ready to go on the market Aaron was able to muster up fifteen applicants whilst weedling out a few that weren't quite right for my flat. He got me an immediate offer which was a little more than expected which was great. Overall I had a great experience with Winkworth, would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone that would like to rent out their property.

Poor. Data protection ignored, no-show for viewing appointment.

Very friendly contact via email with Abbie Greisman. My explicit request not to use my data for any marketing purposes was simply ignored though. We send agreed on a date for a viewing, for which I received an appointment reminder on 13/07. But nobody showed up at the property, and the error wasn't even acknowledged; Abbie referred to a much earlier email exchange from 09/07 though, suggesting that it was all our fault. Poor.

Recently rented out my flat in Kensal Green with Winkworth Kensal Rise and am very happy with the service provided by Aaron Priscott and his team, from the initial consultation through to the tenants moving in. They were able to get over the asking price (which I was definitely sceptical of), and provided me assistance with preparing the flat for renting as required. Extremely Disappointing Service

My experience with Winkworth Fulham has been deeply disappointing. Shortly after moving into a property in mid-October, I discovered that construction noise from the ground floor was unbearable, making it impossible to study or rest. This construction, as confirmed by workers, had started months earlier, yet this critical information was never disclosed to us before signing the tenancy agreement.When I raised this issue, Winkworth not only denied knowledge of the construction but also showed no intention of helping resolve the matter. At a meeting I attended, I was faced with three representatives who seemed solely focused on defending the company’s interests rather than addressing my concerns. The lack of empathy, understanding, and professionalism in handling this situation has been shocking.I cannot recommend Winkworth based on this experience. Transparency and support for tenants are basic expectations, and unfortunately, Winkworth failed on both counts.

We rented a property via Winkworth (Kensal Rise) for a period of almost three years. Fraser and Aaron assisted us with the search for the flat and Michael was our point of contact for all things maintenance and beyond. The process of finding the property at the outset was seamless - Winkworth were excellent. Throughout the three year period, the flat was not without its usual issues (boiler etc). Michael was a dependable contact and took responsibility for gaining the relevant consents/approvals from the landlord/lady and subsequently ensured service providers completed the work to schedule and with minimal disturbance. He really did make the renting process so much easier.Finally, when we wanted to depart from the flat, Aaron ensured that our interests were considered and was the point of contact between us and the landlord/lady. Through great management, we were able to come to a mutually beneficial arrangement. Again, Michael also kept us well informed of and was transparent about the departure process. If you are looking for a professional, personable and reliable agent, choose Winkworth (Kensal Rise).

Amazing estate agents

Our home purchase had quite a few blips along the way and both Nicola and Alex were so patient and reassuring throughout. Nicola never stopped pushing the lawyers on our behalf and I honestly don’t think it would have happened without them. I’m not usually the best fan of estate agents but Winkworth seem to be an honest and genuine firm. Nicola and Alex are just simply fantastic. The worst estate agents I've ever rented from

EDIT: Winkworth have asked me to say the branch this took place at, but at one point the managing director used some aggressive tactics to shut us up, and to be honest I want to remain anonymous to Winkworth as they still have my contact details.--I had a terrible experience with Winkworth when I was renting with them. No matter who it was you were speaking to, you were treated like dirt and felt like the lowest priority. Here are some of the things that happened...I moved in whilst the flat was on a rolling tenancy, so when a new flatmate moved in, the inventory wasn't updated and the flat was never checked for cleanliness when a tenant left. I don't know how standard practice this was, but when we all decided to terminate the tenancy, whoever was carrying out the checkout inspection was looking at photos of a completely different flat - different furniture, different carpets. We successfully appealed when they tried to take some of our deposit.One day, I had a knock on the door and it was some painter decorators who had been booked to decorate all our bedrooms. We didn't receive any notice of this, and had to live in our flat with the paint fumes for the next two days.I lived with two other flatmates, and one of them became very violent and aggressive to us. We suddenly felt very unsafe. The police weren't able to do anything, so we went to Winkworth asking for help, and they just said we'd have to sort it out between the three of us. I'm not sure what the practice is around this, but to just brush us off without even being empathetic to our situation was very upsetting. I asked them if they would only step in once we were in bodybags...!There were many other things that happened during my time with them. I wanted to write about some of my experiences over the years I rented with them to make people aware that they really live up to the typical estate agent stereotypes.
