Poor care

My tenancy ended more than a month ago and Knight Frank still has not returned my deposit. I have contacted them repeatedly and have been told several times that the deposit would be sent “tomorrow”, yet the payment has still not been received. The most frustrating part has been the repeated promises without any resolution or clear explanation for the delay. I have now had to make a formal complaint and consider escalating the matter externally. This has been an extremely disappointing experience, particularly from a company of Knight Frank’s size and reputation.

I worked with Carmen from the Knight Frank Hyde Park office to let my flat out in Bayswater. The process was very smooth from start to finish but in particular, Carmen was excellent. She was efficient, thorough, diligent, selective in finding good candidates, very quick in her replies and also in my opinion went above and beyond in her role in helping resolve issues with preparing the flat for a new tenancy. And she was very friendly and pleasant in her working style, very easy to get on with. 10/10 in my opinion. It’s always a hassle to let your flat out, but when I next need to, I will be contacting Carmen!

As a tenant I recommend you avoid them like the plague. They have been incredibly obstructive and still haven’t repaid my deposit which they hold instead of a deposit scheme, despite having clear written instruction to do so by the landlord, who they refuse to simply phone and repeatedly request further clarification from via email though it has already been clearly given.
