If you are renting a flat then I can truly recommend the Battersea Park branch of Chestertons . I've been renting through them now for over ten years and I've hardly had a day when my property has been empty. Their ability to find new tenants, fix whatever needs fixing and manage every detail of the changeover of tenants is truly amazing. They have an excellent team in Camillo Degregorio, Charlie Carter & Andrew Ogley who keep you posted with developments and more importantly just get the job done. You may think this review is a little over the top but I can promise you is no exaggeration.

Letting process was ok although they should introduce a meeting to talk through contractual terms clause by clause to create alignment and set expetations. I was sent a contract via docusign and asked to review and approve overnight. Still early days but I am not sure the optional management fee is worth it. They don't seem to do much and whenever they do have to manage something they charge for it separately with an expensive supply chain. They charged me 4 times as much for a smoke alarm as what it cost on Amazon even though they acknowledged it didn't need an expert to fit it.It is still early days and hopefully in a few months time I will be able to write a more positive review.

My experience with Chestertons was extremely negative. They did not treat me with respect and wasted my most precious resource of all -- time. They are very disorganised and several times they did not keep appointments without bothering to call and cancel. Finally, when they were showing our home they let tenants wander around the house without accompanying them and were not serious about adhering to Covid safety protocols, which is equally disrespectful and not safe.This company should treat tenants (and prospective tenants) with the same respect they do landlords, because word of mouth is important for any business. They should also get organised internally, I'm happy to arrange viewings of my home, but I am not an adminstrator or scheduler for your company (hire one!). Is is pathetic when the agent calls you to double check the time of an appointment their colleague has booked! Finally, no-call & no-show is never acceptable -- not even once, there is nothing more disrespectful.
