Absolutely shocking service

Absolutely shocking service! Complete lack of communication and care. Yes, a quick sale but that was due to the house my parents were selling through Peter Lane and nothing to do with the agents. My parents heard absolutely nothing from you throughout their sale (including about the arrangements for the completion day and key collection!!!), which was in stark contrast to the estate agent handling their purchase - who kept in contact throughout and even brought round a beautiful bouquet of flowers on their moving date. We are appalled! It’s no wonder we were warned off you by other people. Learn a lesson Peter Lane - picking up the phone costs nothing!!! 😡

We have used Peter Lane several times for both buying and selling. They have really good knowledge of the area and the local market. They really do manage the whole deal from start to finish, making sure everything is going to plan and everyone is fully informed. We wouldn't use anyone else in the area.

Excellent service - from a buyer's perspective

Peter Lane & Partners recently provided me with an excellent property purchasing experience. The sales negotiator, Laura Fergusson, was great at answering any questions or concerns I had about the property and was very timely and effective with her communications between myself and the vendors. Once the sale had been agreed, the after sales manager, Anne Marie Spence, kept regular contact with me and was extremely helpful throughout. Notably, Anne Marie was eager to find an exchange and completion date that suited everybody, not just the sellers. Everyone I've encountered at Peter Lane & Partners has been very friendly and respectful; they are clearly keen to ensure that both the seller and buyer have a positive experience. I can highly recommend Peter Lane & Partners to anyone in the Huntingdon area who is looking to purchase a property.

Excellent Price, Excellent Service

We got a valuation from Peter Lane which was significantly higher than other estates agents locally, thinking this may slow down the process (which we were happy with) we went with them to try for the higher price. However before we even got to market the property, Peter Lane found us a buyer who made an offer immediately at the higher price. They have been excellent throughout, managing visits on our behalf and communicating at all times. They are very professional and helpful during the legal process. I highly recommend using them to sell your property.

We would never buy or sell through Peter & Lane

We purchased our house through Peter and Lane and would absolutely never do it again. Even if our dream property came on the market, we wouldn’t buy if it was listed with Peter and Lane, it goes without saying based on our experience as buyers we certainly wouldn’t instruct them to sell. The viewing was awful, the agent saw us waiting outside the property but left, we had to call the office and ask for her to return, she then rushed us and blamed us for the viewing running over. The communication throughout was extremely poor, they were incredibly slow, the customer service was awful and the lady managing our purchase was extremely rude. When we raised our concerns we were told that various people had 20+ years experience and that the agency was well respected and established so our feeling is that they rely purely on this and think that years of experience is more important than providing a good service.

Peter lane service quality

Peter Lane agent was good through our buying process. Sometimes we could not reach the agents because they were busy.when we bought the house we realized that water floating through one of our bathrooms directly to the kitchen ceiling and through the light bulbs while having a shower! Thank God, the safety fuse stopped the electricity and we are still alive... This kind of life-threatening faults must not be covered through the selling process. Agents should be very careful about this kind of issues for not to victimised their customers.

Buyer March-December 2020

I was a buyer, first viewed houses in March 2020, made an offer around April, (lockdown did slow the house buying process down, mainly due to the mortgage side of things, but this is the same for everyone), I was able to collect keys in December. Katie Taylor was my main point of contact. I find the team to be really responsive and engaging. They were quick to answer my questions and were even able to help me out post-closing to swiftly contact the seller (who is now overseas) so we could stop the burglar alarm which we had triggered, this was resolved within 10 minutes. Additionally, they also helped to gather some further information from the seller during the house buying process which I was very grateful for. I had a pleasant experience with Peter Lane and would happily recommend.

Poor service, countless errors and little communication!

To say that the service and communication was poor from Peter Lane would be an understatement. I was planning to sell my house through them, and it went something like this:1. An agent came to my home to do a valuation - had done no research on houses sold in the area and didn't know that a house exactly the same as mine had been sold down the street within the past month (by Peter Lane) and although he was here to do a valuation asked me how much to put it on the market for and just agreed with what I suggested....I let it go, he seemed nervous and I assumed he was new to the role.2. Viewings were booked and I was continuously asked to conduct the viewing myself although I had expressed from the start this was not a possibility. I didn’t receive any feedback from the viewings and when I chased, they would say they'd get back to me and never did.3. After initial viewings things went quiet...no communication, no consultative service about what our next steps could be etc.....nothing. 4. After months of no communication whatsoever I called Peter Lane, they apologised and said they’d send someone else round…which they did, he was full of apologies and a promise to ensure we got a better service from this point onwards….we then heard nothing from this guy either!5. The government announced the stamp duty holiday and naturally there was an increase in interest, I received contact when someone wanted to arrange a viewing, no follow up to advise on feedback and on two occasions when I had chased they said that the viewing didn’t take place as their agent had failed to show up at the correct time. There was also another occasion where they had to cancel due to staff sickness (which I understand is an unforeseen circumstance, but after the countless issues I had experienced I was surprised it was my viewing they wanted to cancel).They could then never get hold of the viewers they had let down to rearrange. I assume they had as little trust in Peter Lane as I did at this point.6. Asked Peter Lane to take my property off the market, 1 week later still not done, had to call to chase!At best Peter Lane acted as a key holder to let people in my property, at worst they were stopping viewings as they couldn’t get a simple booking right.

Terrible, liars, cheaters, very-unprofessional including their recommended mortgage adviser who works for fivestarmortgages head office based in Corby.Recently tried to buy a house through Peter lane and partners estate agents- viewed property, offer accepted and qualified by their recommended mortgage adviser, was using their recommended Solicitor, everything was good to go. When the property offer was accepted after few days their recommended mortgage adviser wasn’t comfortable to go ahead with one of the thing, when he wasted my one week and when I tried to call him to clarify he didn’t even bother take my call, how rude he was. I don’t wanna take his name but at least I can put his initials (T) who works for Peters lane and partners Peterborough branch and for Fivestar mortgages.When he denied to proceed with my mortgage application. The lady (E) who was dealing with that property which I was buying I told her I can use my own mortgage adviser who can help me through mortgage process and my offer was already accepted.I spent a lot time by filling a solicitors forms, sending a variety of docs and mortgage adviser forms, when everything was done and my mortgage adviser was ready to submit the application, This liar told me they had higher offer on the property they didn’t even informed me until my mortgage adviser said he is ready to submit my application. I had long argue about it how they can do this to me, without informing, how they can accept somebody’s else offer because my offered was accepted and I was preparing my application to submit to the bank.Rang in office more than 5-6 times to speak with (R) who was dealing with property with no success, All I was told by another liars sitting in office She told me while ago they had an higher offer and you know that, very surprising. If they would have told earlier then I would have stopped my mortgage adviser to do any credit search and I didn’t need to waste my that much time finding a solicitor, filling their forms and rest of the thing until offer got accepted.Like a mortgage adviser this (E) also didn’t bother to contact me, eventually I tried again 7th time before they close their office, I spoke to her despite my offer was previously accepted I increased my offer again then another buyer because My solicitor was ready, asking for memorandum of sale and mortgage adviser was ready to submit my application.Here next day comes, I have been waiting since morning for her call for an update but no response, I decided to check property online, I was very angry. surprised that when it was showing sold, immediately I rang in office to find out what’s going on (E) liar and cheater told me it has been sold to another buyer and made an excuse I was going to call you but I missed. Sounds like a they had already decided to go ahead with another buyer before my higher offer. This is the story for these liars and cheaters sitting in that office.I’m sure I will never use them again because they are not trustworthy. They are liars and cheater who never stick with their words.Avoid them at any cost.
