GoogleGood communication is the most important part of being a letting agent, closely followed by following issues through to a satisfactory conclusion for the tenant and the landlord. Unfortunately these are two parts of the service which Tylers repeatedly failed to achieve.
Responses to emails were slow when related to issues with the property but instant if they were in the interests of Tylers. There was never any follow up to confirm that repairs or maintenance visits had resolved issues and there were several visits that appeared to only waste the landlords money.

GoogleI had to relocate overseas for work and asked Tylers for some flexibility with the end of my tenancy (1-month notice). Instead of helping, they insisted I keep paying rent until a replacement tenant is found. To make matters worse, they re-advertised the property at a higher rent than I was paying, well above local comparables, which makes it harder to re-let and leaves me unfairly carrying the cost.
When I asked them to raise my situation with the landlord directly, they refused and blocked that communication. Emails, particularly from Bia Agrela, came across as rude and dismissive.
Overall, the process has been rigid and unsupportive. It is based on exploiting the tenant, instead of finding a mutually beneficial compromise.
I would absolutely not recommend renting through this agency.

GoogleWorked with Jordan from Tylers to rent a property in 2018. He was very helpful and attentive with helping us get into our property in a timely manner with as little hassle as possible.
By the time the tenancy ended in 2022 Tylers were not helpful. They did not respond to requests for documentation such as inventories. They refused to provide references for people moving out of the property. They continue to be extremely slow to work on getting the deposit returned to us and are punitive in their deposit reductions.

Everything is late (our renewal contract is 3 weeks late and after 5 phone calls and no help they still want money). GoogleWe rented a property through Tylers for around 3 years. During that time we found them to be very unhelpful. Luckily we had a good relationship with the landlord and went directly through the landlord.
When it came to getting our deposit back at the end of the tenancy they were consistent in their un helpfulness. They were rude and unhelpful and didn't release the deposit within the 10 days mandated by the government DPS scheme, claiming they needed written permission from our landlord, but never clarifying with us or the landlord this was the case.
We also had to deal with them as part of our house purchase. Again, very little help and we ended up coordinating directly with the seller rather than wait for Tylers. Avoid interactions with Tylers unless you are happy to handle the letting or sale yourself as you will get very little help from them.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

Many Thanks for taking the time to place a review. Negative reviews are at least as important as positive ones as they give the opportunity to review, learn and progress.
I am pleased that you had a good relationship with the landlord as our instructions in this particular case were soley to market the property, prepare documentation and pass the tenancy to the landlord for ongoing management on a "Letting Only" basis as opposed to managing as agents on their behalf.
It does appear that deposit funds were returned in full as soon as the landlord gave authority to do so on day 11 after the tenancy ended.
I am always more than happy to discuss any issue during or after a tenancy, sale or purchase so please do not hesitate to get in touch
The house was left in great clean condition having obviously been well cared for throughout the tenancy for which all are grateful, we are pleased that your purchase has successfully completed and wish you well for the future.

GoogleGood reviews are likely setup FROM OWNER. Most reviewers have only one or two reviews under their account. Classic sign of reviews being fake. Beware! Very unprofessional, do not stick to viewings or appointments. Very bad at managing property. Would never use again. If you have a property to rent out, I would recommend going with another letting agent. These truly are cowboys and I don't know how they stay in business. Some staff such as Bronte try to be helpful, but the arrogance and unprofessional attitude of Chloe and Chris (directors) is toxic and has completely ruined the company. The company also like to make fake good reviews. You can tell by most reviewers have only one or two reviews.

GoogleThe property management agent I've worked with for Tyler's has been, Teresa Ford, who has been outstanding. She has always responded to any questions or concerns I had regarding the property. Her ability to communicate with the owners and then provide me, the tenant, with their responses has always been done in a timely manner. She has been easy to contact and return my calls promptly. She arranges time to come visit the property and arranges for any maintenance work that needs to be done, is completed in a timely manner. I would highly recommend her as a property manager.
