Good Experience: Repairs to Flat

Thanks to Rachel and Logan at the Newbury branch for securing the Landlords' permission to proceed and then smoothly and efficiently coordinating the related work required to maintain the flat I rent through Carter Jonas. Also my thanks go to Paul and Tamas who completed the work in a professional, cooperative and efficient manner and to a very high standard.I received excellent communication throughout from both teams.

Very poor service

Really poor service. Dealt with Louis from their Winchester Branch who was pleasant (although outwardly commented negatively about others who had viewed the property that day, which I didn't find particularly professional) on the viewing on Friday 13th October. Had some immediate questions which were emailed across within hours of the viewing to which 3 weeks later there hasn't been a response.Put an offer in on the property the following Monday (16th) and had an update on the Wednesday saying probably wouldn't have an update until the end of the week.Didn't receive any further updates (despite chasing) until 8 days later to say there still wasn't a decision but no explanation as to why and that the owners wanted to meet us the following Friday (3rd November - today).Sent a response within 3 hours saying we'd be happy to meet them and also asking some really basic questions. As of today I have had no communication following my email from over a week ago, nor have I received any updates regarding the property or my application.Extremely disappointed and wouldn't recommend to others...

Incredibly frustrated with this company. They are discriminatory and homophobic. We found our perfect rental property and proceeded to view and submit our application. After days of chasing. Sam & Igor at the Fulham branch. There are not enough words in my vocabulary to put into the words the lengths and the help these two lads where in helping us first of all find a place and to them completing all referencing at such a fast pace to get us moved ASAP. These guys are not only professional but personable. Their warm enchanting nature put any of our doubts at easy. You could tell they both genuinely wanted to do the most they possibly could and they did exactly that and more. I am generally a level headed calm collected peaceful being but with this being a stressful process, that went out the window but thankfully I had both Sam & Igor to keep my head out of the sandbox. These guys are a complete asset to the business and if i controlled the powers that be I’d have these guys at the top of the Carter Jonas cooperate ladder - they went above and beyond. It would be an insult to them to even put them in the same sentence let alone category as any previous experience with agencies before these two absolute legends. Ask for Sam & Igor. Best service in Oxford

I rented my current apartment in central Oxford through Carter Jonas last summer, and decided to renew my contract for another year because of the company's excellent service. My apartment is managed by Maddy, who takes care of everything and is always there to help. Maddy has been ensuring all my messages were answered immediately and none of the maintenance problems can remain unsolved for more than one day. Maddy is definitely a trustworthy professional and worth a five-star rating.

Awful service

Awful service! I went to view a house with my 17 year old son and we really liked it. We dealt with Nyah from the Shrewsbury office and I got the impression that she immediately discriminated against us. She was giving us false figures to try and put us off saying the deposit was higher than it worked out at, also that the council tax was 2 grand higher than it actually is! It was as if she did not believe we could afford such a house. Then told me that as we are both self employed we would have to prove income for 3 years. As I knew this was not correct, my husband phoned a few days later and she told him self employed was fine and we’d need to provide bank statements for 1 year for referencing and would he like to apply for the house. He asked why she had told me completely different information and she got completely defensive and then said we could not apply. Good luck to the landlords with her being in charge of managing their property.

Sam Jarvis was brilliant in the acquisition of the rental for our 2 bed property in Fulham. We wouldn't be living where we are now if he wasn't as quick and efficient with his email replies, always giving us in depth and great answers for any questions we had regarding the property. Naturally, renting somewhere for the first time in London was a tough experience, but having an agent like Sam who was extremely helpful and understanding with his replies made the process so much easier.
