First of all dependable. With so much stress around dates it always felt that Courtney was on top of things, and nothing was waiting on her. That included following up emails after hours. She would turn things around quickly and if there were delays it was not on her side. Her calmness and confidence made us feel that it was always going to happen within the timescales. Finally capable and professional. She did “exactly what it said on the tin”. Would I recommend Courtney and Romans.

I started renting with Romans recently and the whole process from viewings to picking up my keys was an absolute breeze. Competent, highly motivated team and a helpful no fuss referencing with most of the paperwork completed online really left me quite impressed. Shevaughn was great in communicating with me throughout the final checks as well as sorting out last minute issues with no delays to my rent start date. Also thanks to Sarah, Kim and Lisa for a great service. Keep it up!

Great experience & staff in Caversham

Our contact Chloe from the Caversham office has been fantastic. Super helpful and always responds to emails quickly with all the info we need. The systems and technology Romans use has made the whole application & paperwork process really simple & seamless. When we did have a technical issue at one stage, Chloe went out of her way to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Smooth and professional move process

Amanda (lettings department) was incredibly helpful and professional throughout the whole process, always ready to assist me in what was needed. I have been with Romans for 28 years

I have been with Romans for 28 years and they manage my Bath property. I live in Australia and rarely get the chance to visit them in person. I have always found that I they have managed my property with the minimum of fuss and dealing via e-mail has been seemless and overcome distance and time differences with no effort. My current property manager is Hayley McPhail who is very responsive.

Top Notch Personal Service for Landlords

Romans have been our managing agent for a coach-house in Basingstoke for the last few years. Throughout this time our property manager Denise Hurn has been fantastic. She is really "on the ball". She is fair and reasonable and acts as a fantastic interface/interim between us and our tenants. There are other letting agents to chose from but we haven't even looked because we are so happy with the service we get from Denise (I bet her retention numbers are high - hopefully she gets rewarded for that accordingly)!

Kimberley Garcia Jones, Senior Property Manager

I first came into contact with the Romans Property Group in Reading in August 2002, when an agent showed me an apartment, which I eventually purchased through the company. They did such of an excellent job of processing the sale, that I engaged the company to manage the rental of the apartment and they continue to do so to this day. I have worked with a few property managers during those 21 years and all of them have been good but the manager that I have worked with the longest is Kimberley Garcia Jones. Kimberley is not only diligent and professional in her work but she has an innate ability to maintain cordial relationships between myself and the various individuals who have lived in the apartment. I often ask her for advice at the onset of new Tenancy agreements and she has never failed to steer me onto the right track. I live overseas and travel a lot, therefore I am often difficult to contact. Consequently, there have been occasions when Kimberley has had to made decisions without receiving approval from me. So far by acting on her own initiative, she has always made the right decisions. I have never met Kimberley in person and even though I greatly appreciate her professionalism, it is her genuine warmth and kindness which makes her a joy to work with.

Have been letting my property with Romans for some years. Donna Marie Brant has often been my main contact & is always helpful - sometimes I'll contact Donna & find she's not the correct person; but Donna will point me in the right direction. Donna keeps me informed when matters need to be dealt with (new tenants, legislation changes etc.) It's good to have someone like Donna in the Romans office as a contact - she always helps me out. Will do anything to get the listing

Sorry to say but you I had asked so many questions around what documentation is needed as it was my first time selling and I was only told that I needed a EPC rating. There was no care in the customer service element once I had accepted an offer. I had to then run around for 5 months trying to locate documents like the EWS1 from, Deeds and other items. If I was advised that this was needed I probably would have waited before we accepted an offer to ensure it was stress free for the buyer and myself. The agent was confident with the evaluation and ended up dropping £30K of the initial market value while the completion were selling at market value. I was just passed onto someone after I accepted an offer who I only managed to speak 1 week before my completion. If you asked me if I would recommend or use the agency again I would run in the opposite direction pay a bit more in commission as the service is better and would never recommend anyone sell through Romans.

Great service and communication

Romans is a really great agency in Swindon. From arranging viewing and all the procedures carrying out, all staffs are very nice, polite and replied promptly. Especially Katie, she’s very kind and cheerful while meeting us at the property for viewing. After accepting the offer from landlord, she contacted us promptly and send us the documentation quickly, quick response, eager to answer any questions when I got confused with some documents. I have a new property manager just recently came on board called Lisa Fazal. I am so impressed she is amazing, very professional, very knowledgeable and gets things done instead of talking the talk and not walking the walk. Lisa is so much better than my last property manager who was forgetful. I haven't had to do a great deal since Lisa took over, and I will definitely be giving more properties to Romans going forward as I am so pleased with the service provided by Lisa. It does make a change to get a good property manager as most of them don't get back to you as quick as you would like. Overall, 10 out of 10

Your experience depends on your property manager

I would like to partition my review in two parts -1. The initial property manager for the flat I was renting (Jamie Harper) was very unresponsive. He wouldn't answer calls and would only respond to emails if I copied a bunch of other people on them. It was mostly impossible to get any repair work done from Jamie. (A simple bathroom door latch fix took more than three months). The living room balcony door was broken. This was letting cold air in and made the living room uninhabitable in the winter.I chased Jamie on this for more than a month with no progress. Luckily for me, Jamie went on vacation without doing any work on this, which was when this was assigned to Donna-Marie Brant.2. When Donna-Marie Brant was assigned as the property manager for my flat, I had been waiting on a critical repair for more than a month. She made quick progress in understanding the gravity of the situation and coordinated very well with all concerned parties to get the work done. She was very transparent about where the bottleneck was and how she was expediting the process. She got the work done in a couple of weeks of her involvement. Overall I'm very happy with her transparency and speed of functioning.

She has always been very responsive to issues ensuring that they are speedily resolved. Well done Kimberley.The contractors used are generally of good quality but can be expensive so Romans should try to get equally good tradesmen on board that are more cost effective - there are many out there. Hence 4 stars not 5

Joe was EXCELLENT.

Joe was so good.Joe was the valuer and I found him to be honest, kind, very professional and loyal to Romans - he talked to me about all the plus and minus points - his honesty was refreshing to be truthful with you.I felt confident with his honesty and straight talking which other agents tend to pussyfoot around the subject and offer the world and deliver nothing. I felt that confident in Joe that I signed up right there and then and the other 2 agents wanted me to sign with them as the area is very popular. Due to medical issues I could not do the usual contract time but agreed to 12 weeks although I wanted 8. Joe was very accommodating & showed how Romans care about their sellers - a true asset to your company I am sure he will go far as he was so passionate about his job.

bad service

bad service, I booked a visit to a property and the agent called me this morning to cancel as they have accepted an offer. surely you should allow the "booked " viewings to view and not take further bookings.... then make the decision when all viewings have completed and all offers on tiger table . VERY BAD service ! I iwll try to avoid using this agency in the future - Location Romand Tilehurst/Reading.
