The initial valuation was much too high and despite my reservations I was convinced by the agent that this was correct. This meant the sale took much longer than needed and we had to reduce the asking price and then subsequently accept a much lower offer. Once the offer was accepted the Move Manager Catherine Salisbury was very helpful and reassuring, keeping me updated on progress and chasing solicitors.

I am really sorry that you were unhappy with the condition of the property, but we certainly were not ignoring the issues. As you know there have been numerous maintenance issues addressed throughout your tenancy including a replacement oven, replacement toilet, repair to the chimney and repainting of the attic.
Whilst the Landlord instructed the contractor to replace the kitchen cupboard doors the contractor has had issues sourcing a like for like replacement. I apologise that this job has taken longer than normal to address but this certainly isn’t the normal service we provide.

We purchased a house through Ryder & Dutton's Heywood branch. Catherine was our primary contact, and she was nothing short of excellent throughout. She kept us up-to-date with everything on our purchase side and was always keen to answer any questions that we had throughout the process.On a slight tangent, in the later stages of the process, the main point of contact at our solicitors went on maternity leave. Some problems ensued, which involved lost messages between the seller's and our solicitors. Catherine was able to get to the bottom of this, highlight the cause of the delays, which helped to keep things moving along. I'm not sure we'd have completed when we did had it not been for Catherine spotting the problem!As I'd already mentioned, our primary contact was Catherine, but on occasion, we also spoke with Tom. Despite not being involved in the day-to-day detail (as it was usually Catherine), he was always helpful and knowledgeable about our purchase to be able to answer any questions that we might have had.Would highly recommend!
