Dont Waste Your Time

I had a very bad experience with one of their estate agent in cheadle hulme. Be aware of Omara, she views you the property and stands still and doesn't even puts up an effort to speak or show the property. A pure lack of training and wonder how bridgfords keep a check? On top, if there's other properties to see, they'd give you excuses and never deliver what they promise, delays on delays. I guess barely they have good agents and mostly its all bad. Its pitty to know what such companies has such employee who works as if they are forced to do so.

Absolutely shocking letting agents.....slack set up and even slacker staff. Theres many more better agents to go through dont touch bridgefords with a barge pole. Over so many years we've had so many problems with reporting repairs they just never get back in touch.... and when your waiting 2 month for a smoke detector to be replaced speaks volumes, and that's having chased it twice a week . So as in many replays re how customer service is important to them...they need to buckle there ideas up. Do your research theres a lot more reviews re bridgefords dont settle with Google's.

Highly Recommend the team at Bridgfords! Great service from all the team, I've mainly spoken to Chad, but when I've spoken to other staff members they have been of great support. I'm very happy to call up with any questions as I know I will be getting a friendly voice who is more than happy to help. I trust when Chad says he is going to look into something or chase something up for us and all queries are resolved with efficiency, courtesy, and very promptly. Cannot thank or reccommend Lee at Bridgfords Halifax enough!! Before meeting Lee we didn’t even think we would be able to get a mortgage, now we are set to get the keys to our first family home this weekend and it’s all down to Lee. As first time buyers we didn’t have a clue what was involved with buying a house, Lee took us through every step making sure we understood everything and made the whole process a lot easier. Lee got us a brilliant mortgage and cover that suited our needs and we wouldn’t have been able to get that without his help. He also helped us deal with our solicitors and was more than happy to help us wherever needed. Meetings and phone calls were always professional but very personable and he was great to work with. Thanks again Lee we really wouldn’t have been able to buy our own house without you. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family!

Lee of Countrywide helped me to find a mortgage deal. He was amazing and made what could have been a scary and painful process, simple and (relatively) fun. He made sure I fully understood my overheads and what would be affordable for me and always took the time to explain things in a way I would understand. Do not trust them, they will rob you blind

Do not under any circumstances go with these! They will steal from you. They never asked prior to us applying whether we would need a guarantor and because it became obvious we did after application they decided not to go with us and stole our holding deposit from us. We a family with a small child and a baby on its way and they refused to give us our money back. They wouldn't budge a little bit. Not even offer a little bit back. Horrible estate agent that will rob you blind. Do not trust them!!!!

Zero engagement for deposit return

My tenancy ended on 9th Jan and I emailed Bridgfords to ask how I go about getting my deposit back.Emailed again on 15th Jan saying there had been no reply received to my request.An agent did respond so say someone from the deposit team would be in touch.Chased again on 22nd Jan advising that nothing had been heard - to date zero response.They were very good when it came to take my money. There can be no excuse for the lack of engagement. A dispute has been raised with MyDeposit.

Useless and embarrassing customer service when trying to by a house. Will only co operate if you agree to use their own mortgage adviser- we already had one, yet they kept calling and being incredibly rude and pushy. At the same time, Alex ignored calls and voicemails- we would call and get ignored, then call off a different number and they would answer.

Bad service- they didn't attend the viewing. I arranged a viewing and was given a verbal and text confirmation of time etc. Bridgefords didn't show up or answer any calls to explain why. The landlord lived next door to the property we were meant to be viewing. He was very embarrassed to explain that the property was no longer on the market even. He had said Bridgford's poor service had meant he had left the agency.

A one star rating is too good for this…

A one star rating is too good for this business! Completely inept from the agent to their so-called professional mortgage broker. Allowed seller's solicitor to harass and bully me and also bombarded me with messages whilst at work but didn't answer calls when I tried to contact them. I am now out of pocket as seller has withdrawn the property even though it still shows for sale.
