Charlotte went above and beyond to sell our late parents' independent living property in the town. It was a very difficult sale due to a number of factors and incredibly stressful but Charlotte handled the sale professionally and with great understanding. We recently purchased an apartment in Eccles, via Reeds Rains, Salford Quays. For various reasons (nothing to do with Reeds Rains), the purchase took over 9 months to complete. Throughout this time Laura was extremely helpful, both in enabling us to visit the property on several occasions, and also in chasing up the seller, when it seemed that both sets of solicitors were just letting things slip. Without her help, I can't help thinking the process would have taken more than 9 months.

When having a look for a first time home, me & my partner were a bit lost, trying to think of what all our outgoings, new build or old build & were I would stand with gaining a new job, We were put through to Peter & he made us so comfortable straight away and went through everything step by step and spent time making sure we would know everything before buying a house. What should we do and what shouldn’t we do. Eg what’s negative to a bank on a bank statement/ credit cards ect, He made sure we understood and how to improve this to get more lenders to accept, Peter made sure we understood that not many banks would lend as I had a career change and once my probation period is over I would have a lot more chance. We have decided to wait abit longer and get back in touch with Peter when we are ready to buy, hopefully end of summer. We didn’t feel pushed or rushed, & he advised us if we saved a bit more the price of our house can increase so we would have more choice, overall Peter was super helpful, and we can’t wait to work with him, and for him to help us buy our first home come this autumn 😊Thanks Larisse

I rent a property through Reeds Rains in Blackpool. We have suffered over 8 years from poor responses for jobs to be completed and the landlord informed. Most recently my bedroom window which will not close properly was reported in July during a house check.After a number of emails someone came to get a quote for the landlord 23/08/23. Since then we have continued to regularly ask when the work is being done. Yesterday I went into the office has it is now getting colder and it is becoming a bigger issue. I was told that a different company will give a quote but not when this will happen. I feel that tenants are not treated with respect or importance by this company.

Thanks to the wonderful sales team at the Salford Quays branch, we completed our first-time home purchase.Because of my own mistake, the purchase took longer than normal. However, our sales agent Laura had been caring and professional throughout the process. She did a good job resolving conflicts between the buyer and the seller. No matter how petty the issue is, she listens, reassures me and follows up properly. Especially as a first-time buyer, I could’t thank her enough for her effort and insights. Special mention to Jozeph and Todd, the teamwork at Salford Quays is as apparant as their service quality.In short, great communication and impressive response time to calls and emails. We are so happy with our new first home. I would definitely consider using this branch's service again in the future!

Renting a property can be daunting but Reeds Rains helped us every step of the way, nothing too much trouble. The Burnley team were excellent and so efficient. Particular thanks to Leanne and Andrea. We signed up one day and had four viewings in four days with one signing up as a tenant. Amazing! I have recently completed a power of attorney sale of my mother’s house with the Pontefract Team of Reads Rains. The whole process with the Agent was easy and straightforward, I was updated with all viewing appointments and provided with feedback after every viewing. The property sold very quickly and when I was unhappy with the lack of updates and information from my solicitor; the Team, in particular Ash, chased up my solicitor, the buyer’s solicitor and the buyer, providing me with regular updates alleviating my concerns.

What a great team - over the last few years ( 3 at least ) I’ve used Reeds Raine for my rental properties and the sale of my home. The team works really well together, giving a seamless joint between “Lettings” and “Sales”. Lydia has been a constant, contactable touch point - her assured and local knowledge is a real benefit, providing insights and contacts that have made the “landlord” role easy and hassle free. Lydia has personally formed an invaluable bridge to the Sales team. It was Lydia’s high levels of customer service that formed my decision to use the Rye Reeds Raines Team to sell my house. Reeds Rain York branch avoid at all costs whether a landlord or tenant. Terrible customer service, lied to on multiple occasions, they will attempt to milk fees from commissions on maintenance work the tenant hasn't requested. They are now refusing to return the tenants deposit where there is a dispute between Reeds Rain and the landlord (I.e nothing to do with the tenant). Tenants beware....!

What can be one of the most stressful events in life, selling a house and moving home was made much easier with the help of the staff at Reeds Rains (Bamber Bridge)Their expertise and advice was invaluable, from getting the house valued and on the market, to organising viewings and working with the solicitors and buyers as the sale progressed. We had a sale agreed within 3 days of our house hitting the market.All the staff are so professional and friendly and were there to answer any queries and support us throughout the process. Reeds rains is the worst estate agency I have come across. I had a viewing on one of their property to rent in Eccles new road and I have send our interest on that property and they said they will let me know about landlord’s decision. I made 2 phone calls in one week period after seeing no response from the agency. They were very rude over the phone and were not approachable at all. They asked me to wait for their email to get the update. Even after more than a week, my husband rang them today on 26th September 2023 to get an update, they said the property has been given to other people. They made us to wait for their update more than a week , very rude over the phone and not given any update. I won’t recommend this agency to any of my friends.

Our experience with Reeds Rains was second to none. We had a private sale before marketing with Dave which fell through right when we found a property we wanted to buy, this meant either pulling out of our purchase or finding a buyer quickly (which usually comes with a great financial loss). Dave managed not only to find us a buyer before hitting the market, but get us THREE full asking price offers and one £10k over asking price too. Our property wasn’t in the best of conditions or the easiest location to sell so this kind of service really stood out from the crowd. Well done Dave and team 👏🏼

We rented out flat out via Reeds Rains (Sheffield) for several years, and the service has always been terrible. They are very unresponsive, you have to chase A LOT to get any answers, and they are so sales-y that when they finally answer you, they are vague and make you think they've answered you and they haven't done anything of the sort.They never carried out checks (which we paid them to do) on the flat, and every time tenants left, it was left in a complete state and cost us so much money each time to repair / replace / fix. We started off getting deposits from the tenants, but then RR advised to go with the Zero Deposit Guarantee for the last 2 tenants. DO NOT DO THIS. We were awarded about £20 on the second to last tenant and £150 odd on the final tenant (costing us thousands to repair and thus being very out of pocket). This final tenant has taken almost 1 year of chasing, feeling like we are harassing RR / YourMove, calling many, many times and 1/15 times being called back, speaking to very unhelpful and rude people most of the time, not getting answers, being lied to, telling us they will "reopen the claim" several times (but not actually ever being told they had closed the claim or reasons why), and again, being fobbed off by some salesperson. They never kept us informed once. They refused to reply 9/10 times. They refused to send me the complaints procedure, and they refuse to send me a timeline of our claim and the claim itself. This is a FOI request. They lost track of the previous tenants, but they did forward on the name and address of the previous tenants' family members....for which I could have easily reported them as a breach of Data Protection but I chose not to. However, I think I may do this considering the loss we have had and the terrible experience we have had. Do not use Reeds Rains in Sheffield or YourMove. Unless you want endless stress and enjoy being ignored and lied to.

We are currently looking for a rental property and reeds reins have a few we’d like to view. It’s a shame they’re shockingly terrible at customer service skills. I’ve tried to contact Wakefield, Morley, Castleford & Ossett branches about viewings and none of them get back to us. I’ve sent emails for viewings through right move, directly emailed the branches and called and had no response. Called branches and either had no answer or been told I’d get a call back, never received a call back. I’ve not once received a reply to the many emails I’ve sent to them. I did manage to get one viewing through them after 3 emails, 2 viewing queries (through right move and their own website) and calling twice to be told I’d receive a call back, the third time I waited on the phone to speak to someone as I knew they wouldn’t call back. After we’d finally secured 1 viewing, we wanted to make sure they accepted pets, so I replied to the email Elliot sent confirming the viewing…no response. So I ended up calling to confirm. I’m unable to call during work hours, this is why I rely on emailing, which shouldn’t be an issue to send a simple response. My wife called about another property and was told, “none of our current properties accept pets so we can’t help you”. Didn’t take any details incase any came through that did accept pets. Just looking through my emails and the queries I’ve sent to them and had no response, I’ve sent 11 and had no response. Funnily enough the house we currently rent is being sold hence why we are moving, advertised by Reed Rains. I’m sure they expect us to be at their beck and call for viewings etc now they need us to be flexible and responsive to them.

My girlfriend and I met Niamh Titterington at a property we had arranged to view. She was prompt and immediately polite, approachable and knowledgeable, answering any questions/queries we had. The experience was made a happy and relaxed one, due to her friendly manner. Reeds Rains has been an excellent estate agents to deal with - so helpful and the best service we have had by far (and we’ve dealt with many over the years!). We thank you greatly, keep up the good work.
