Used Normie on a let-only basis for my flat in Prestwich and dealt with David throughout. He was excellent. He gave me a lot of his time, answered every question I had properly rather than fobbing me off, and got the property let without any fuss while I was in the middle of moving out myself. He also went out of his way to recommend tradespeople for repairs, which saved me a lot of hunting around. Whenever I called the office the rest of the team were helpful too. Genuinely good natured and easy to deal with, which counts for a lot when you’re juggling everything at once. Would happily use them again.

GoogleAbsolutely brilliant service from all involved. Selling a house when it's empty and you live a good distance away, is not easy. However, Normie and especially Nigel made the sales process and viewings very easy. The house sold within the first week of being on the market.
Then began the solicitors run around.
Normie's Sales Progressor, Nicole was fantastic in co-ordinating all involved and kept me better and quicker informed than my own solicitor. Without Nicole, I have to wonder if completion would ever have taken place.
Thanks to all at Normie, especially Nigel who really is Mr Unsworth and to Nicole who works far too many hours in her quest to keep clients satisfied.

GoogleAVOID! Decided to go with Normie due to their “reputation’ but have been very disappointed with their service throughout. Initially gave our property to Normie as Nigel was very pleasant and seemed confident that he could sell our property at the initial visit but his demeanour changed after signing the contract. Nigel took photos of the house at the end of the day and it was quite clear he was rushing and the photos were taken in less than 10 minutes. After gaining a second opinion from another estate agent they said that these were the poorest photos that they’ve ever seen from Normie.
There was no communication from Normie following months of the house being on sale to discuss price deduction or alternative marketing techniques and it was ourselves who had to contact Normie to suggest this. Normie are the professionals and if they did not feel as though they could sell the house at the agreed price then they should have not taken on the property. There were multiple times that Normie cancelled viewings without prior notice leading to massive inconveniences on the day. We were even told by a sales agent in front of a potential buyer ‘I’ve never been to this property before, I’d like to be shown around’ which we found to be very unprofessional.
When my husband expressed his concerns regarding lack of communication and unprofessionalism, Josh the office manager was not apologetic and wanted to put the blame on us. Please avoid at all costs and go with a company that can offer their time and effort which Normie do not have the ability to do.

I have taken the time to thoroughly investigate the matter, as I wanted to respond comprehensively. As an independent family-run business, we take negative reviews very seriously and strive to learn from them. Had I had ever dealt with you directly, rather than with your husband, Dr Nisar, you would have been aware that you were speaking with a director, not an office manager as stated. As the owner, I understand that we are only as good as our last review, which is why we do not take our hard earned reputation for granted. We welcome all reviews and acknowledge that there are occasions when we do not get it right. Thankfully, the hundreds of 5-star client reviews reflect our team’s dedication and hard work.
Property Pricing
I agree that it was an error to have marketed your property at the inflated price that, Imran insisted on, as it was against the professional advice provided at the original property appraisal. We only proceeded on the understanding that Dr Nisar would be open to adjusting the price based on market feedback, which unfortunately was consistently ignored. Additionally, Dr Nisar chose not to follow our advice to tidy up the garden and refresh parts of the property, which would have significantly enhanced its appeal. Despite these challenges, we still secured an offer within 2.5% of your asking price, well within the range we originally advised. This offer was more than credible considering the property size and its location behind Unsworth Pole; however, the offer was rejected
Viewings
While I understand the frustration of cancelled viewings, I want to emphasise that no cancellations were initiated by our office. Viewings were cancelled by potential buyers, which, as you know, is entirely out of our control. As an estate agent, we are equally affected when viewings are cancelled, as it impacts both potential sales and our operational costs.
Photography
Feedback we received from the viewings highlighted two main issues: the property's presentation and its pricing. Interestingly, some viewers felt that our photos were too impressive, leading to disappointment when they saw the property in person. Whilst a competing and unprofessional agent may choose to criticise our photos, we can only showcase the property as it is. From our notes, we can see Imran not only approved the photos, but expressed he was pleased with them prior to marketing.

We initially used another local agent at the start to sell our house (who was useless) but after having a poor experience with them we decided to switch to Normies who I am delighted with as they sold our house in just 1 week compared to the 3 months we had wasted with the other agent. From the outset, Natalie showed that she really understood my house and the local market. They didn't get the photos perfect first time, but knew they didn't all do the house justice and asked to come back unprompted to make sure they were 100% right. GoogleNormie could not have been more fantastic! We first went to Natalie for the sale of our house, and looked at new houses with them. We had viewings booked within a day and quickly had offers, whilst also using Natalie for offers on our new home. She was in constant communication about everything and really supportive when we had no idea about any of the processes or how things work.
Once the offers were accepted on both our old and new home we were passed to Nicole, who was just as fantastic! There were a few issues we had along the way with the sale of our previous property and I couldn’t have wished for anyone better to handle them. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without Nicole, she kept us sane through the most stressful process and made everything so much better and easier.
I could not recommend Normie highly enough. Moving house is one of the most stressful things in life and although this is still the case, they definitely take the weight off your shoulders and ensure it goes as smoothly as possible. We love our new home so much so I doubt we will be moving again for a long time, but if we did we would be straight back to you! Thank you!

GoogleThe people at Jeffrey Normie certainly go above and beyond and I think without their experience our sale would not have gone through. It was a complicated chain of 8 possibly 9 sales with 2 split chains and a deadline date. The pressure was on.. But, Nicole Bradburn, did not let that worry her. She was just fantastic!
She professionally hurried along solicitors every day, she moved things along in ways that we didn’t think was possible but with her friendly pleasant approach to all things she really got things in line and there was a lot.
She thought of things and resolved them before they became an issue and kept everyone informed all the time. She was amazing.
James was also excellent negotiating the sale and selling our homes to make it work and obviously Nigel with his all encompassing knowledge of how to get a house sold and how to market it. Along with the rest of the team whose names I do not know.
This was a sale where we needed professional experts to complete all the chain and that’s what we got. Along with some much needed time and chats to reassure us, all would be okay. Amazing Work guys.
