Like so many people at the beginning of last year's lockdown, we were caught in a limbo of trying to finalise the purchase of a house through Jackson Stopps. Everything ground to a halt and we had to move into rented accommodation. Matt was particularly good at keeping in touch and as soon as restrictions were lifted we were in communication to progress what was already a long-drawn-out process. We all kept our good humour even in the face of frustrations and delays. We really appreciate the care that all at Jackson Stopps showed us as it cannot have been easy for anyone there with people clamouring for answers and action when it just wasn't possible. We think Matt and his team are terrific!

Jackson-Stops Reigate - a pleasure to deal with.

The team at Jackson-Stops Reigate were a pleasure to deal with. Friendly, knowledgable and efficient, they dealt with any question or query promptly. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they even printed out documents for me when I had no access to a printer. Moving house can be extremely stressful but they were calm and helpful throughout, helping to make the process as smooth as possible. I’d highly recommend them.

There are good estate agents out there...!

Having experienced the worst of estate agency (many times !) it was a pleasure to experience the best for a change. The old saying of you get what you pay for is certainly true - except the terms agreed with Jackson-Stops were very reasonable for what you get.From the outset, dealing with Neil and the team at Woburn was very professional and reassuring and you knew you were in the hands of people who were very experienced and knew what they were about. Perfect House - Jackson Stops Exeter - Thank You !

In May 2020 we found our perfect house to realise our dream to relocate from Essex to Devon. Luckily for us, the property was on the market with Richard Addington and his team in Exeter. Whilst it may seem unusual for a purchaser to write a review their handling of this sale, that finally completed in early January 2021, would have been unlikely to have concluded without the team. An absent vendor living in Asia made the transaction a little bit more complicated on top of the COVID restriction placed on us all. Richard communicated regularly and arranged access for surveys swiftly and effectively. He managed time zones and communication within the short, but at times complex chain with ease. To summerise, Richard and his team are highly-capable with a wealth of experience. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to my family and friends.

An excellent experience from start to finish

Jane Bishop was wonderful throughout this difficult process (the sale of my late mother's house during lock down presenting both emotional and practical issues). She was easy to approach, she was quick to respond to messages, she went above and beyond in helping: for instance, she ensured that an agent went to the house weekly (even if there was not a viewing) to check on it for insurance purposes as it was an empty house. She facilitated the removal of some contents to local charities. And the house sale went through smoothly from one of the early viewings, achieving the asking price. I'd use Savills instead!

We attempted to sell our £2m+ house through them this summer. We used them as they were local and seemed to have a decent selection of properties in our area. 16 weeks after putting our house on the market and 12 weeks after accepting an offer, the 'cash buyer' Jackson Stops presented us with still didn't have their finances and paperwork in place. The agents did very little to check on progress and only upped their game after we complained (7 weeks after accepting an offer) about lack of action on their part. Sporadic communication and a sense that they weren't really acting on our behalf. And not enough staff either in the office to deal with questions or to conduct viewings in a timely manner. We pulled the deal after 12 weeks and will use Savills instead. Jackson Stops seem undynamic and sleepy compared to other agents when we were buying. Savills were far more proactive in their contact and their communication was much better both before and after a deal was agreed.

Earlier this year we moved from Essex to a house in Suffolk being marketed by Jackson-Stops at Bury St Edmunds. The sale was handled by Ro Diaper. Although the purchase and sale of our Essex home initially went well, it soon became apparent that there were major problems at the bottom of the chain. Our selling agent was less than helpful with next to no communication. Fortunately we were able to rely on Ro at Jackson-Stops to fill the information gap. She kept in constant contact, advising us of all of the twists and turns in the process. On several occasions the sale and purchase looked on the verge of collapse but it was due to the dedication and resourcefulness of Ro that eventually after more than 6 months, completion took place. We have no doubt that Ro went above and beyond what would normally be required of an agent in these circumstances and we are so grateful to her for the significant part she played in ensuring we moved to our new house, which we love. We would have no hesitation in recommending Jackson-Stops and Ro in particular. Her friendly approach made a very stressful and complicated process much easier to negotiate. Thank you again.
