Brilliant service from Jackson Stops

I can recommend Jackson Stops knowing the service i have received over decades has been brilliant. The relationship with Anthony Jevons at the Jackson Stops Hale office is built on 30 years of buying and selling property through Anthony and his Jackson Stops colleagues at the Hale and Chester office. The professionalism shown by Jackson Stops has been brilliant on each property sale and purchase, and i wouldn't consider using another estate agent for a UK property. One of the properties that they sold for me near Chester via Stephen Cheshire in Jackson Stops Chester office was sold for £170,000 over the asking price, and the property they sold for my mother in February 2025 in Bowdon sold in just one day after signing up Jackson Stops to sell the property, and there were an additional 4 people due to view it the following day!!!

Jackson Stop has been absolutely brilliant

Jackson Stop has been absolutely fantastic with our move especially as this move was particularly difficult. The patience and professional attitude was very much appreciated. Anthony was always calm when things seemed to be chaotic, and Tracey would continually smile and accompany potential buyers with enthusiasm and understanding.They always showed possible buyers around the property and would return feed back from those viewings. Should l ever move again Jackson Stops would be the first estate agent l would contact for the move. The service from the Bury St Edmunds office is absolutely outstanding. We used them to sell our townhouse in Bury 9 years ago and now I have sold my country home with them. All staff are friendly, extremely kind and helpful, nothing is too much trouble, they know what they are doing.Charlie has been totally, wonderfully helpful with support and advice far above and beyond what would be expected. We cannot thank the Bury team, Charlie, Ro and Emily, enough for all their help during the protracted and nail biting process of selling our house this year. Not sure how we would have coped with the many highs and lows without the reassuring guidance of the team. A confident, warm, and reassuring voice on the end of a telephone is a rare and wonderful thing nowadays. Our calls and emails were always answered promptly with honesty and integrity. In spite of two sales chains breaking, the teams patience, perseverance and dogged determination resulted in a successful sale to a couple who love our house and we have moved on to be near the sea. We consider ourselves lucky to have had the pleasure of working with such a professional team of people who we now consider to be our friends and if and when the time comes for us to move we will not hesitate to engage them . I bought a house through Jackson-Stops with Ro Diaper and Charlie Philip acting for the sellers. From a buyer’s side they were pleasant, understanding and pragmatic. Ro supported the initial and follow-up viewings and was quick to answer questions. They coordinated access for our structural and drainage surveys, kept updates clear, and stayed solution focused when the chain slipped and dates moved. No pressure. A great experience from start to finish!

We purchased a house earlier this year through Jackson-Stops. Rosanna, who, was our first point of contact was exceptional throughout the whole process, from viewing until the day we completed. She was professional, kind and managed to guide us through a tricky few months and reassure both myself and my husband, with the house sale (which took much longer than anticipated). The icing on the cake was a lovely gift bag on the day we moved in, which was completely unexpected but a really nice touch. I would like to commend Margaret Heath, Senior Property Manager, who for 25 years has looked after my flat in Wimbledon which has always been rented out through Jackson-Stops. Over the many years it has always been a pleasure to speak to Margaret who is very helpful and pleasant and has a great deal of experience and knowledge of matters relating to property repairs and maintenance. I rarely get involved with running the flat as Margaret does the job so well and I know the flat is in good hands which is fortunate because I currently live far away. Margaret was instrumental in arranging occasional major works such as a full renovation, redecorations and a boiler installation. Jackson Stops (and it’s predecessor) has been managing our rental property for 40 years. Margaret Heath has been there almost all that time as our property manager. As we live overseas it is essential that we have reliable, efficient and comprehensive oversight of our property. Margaret has provided excellent service. Why use anyone else?

We bought our home in Dullingham via Jackson-Stops 5 years ago. They were so professional and a pleasure to work with then, that when we decided to sell it earlier this year we had no hesitation in using them again. From the moment they took our instruction they were first class in keeping us informed, not just from what was going on, but also liaising with our buyers, our solicitors and our purchase in keeping everyone on the same page. Every time we phoned up, no matter who we spoke to, everyone always knew everything about our file. I would, however, like to say a special mention to Samantha, who not only went out of her way to make sure that everything went through as smoothly and stress-free as possible, even on her days off, but the fact that she took time out in looking after us. She was always available if ever we needed help with anything, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Unfortunately though, since we've sold, I do miss our morning update chats on the way to work! Thank you for making it happen.

I could not have managed to purchase my home in Newmarket if it wasn't for Lottie at the Newmarket high street location. She did more than what was asked of her and she was very responsive on her emails. With the help of my cousins and Lottie I purchased the property site unseen. Something I have never done. We decided to sell our first house in Bury St Edmunds after renting it out for the past 6 years - having used the Jackson Stopps rental team we had already met Matthew Cutting and was impressed with his professional and engaging manner - it was then an easy decision to appoint him to handle our sale - he was responsive as to how we wished to present our former home and achieved an agreed sale within a week on going on the market - unfortunately the buyer’s cash sale fell through but within 24 hrs of going back on the market Matthew has elicited a second offer which was accepted. Matthew’s local knowledge then came to the fore as he advised of a potential delay from a previous sale involving a tardy response from the management company - he kept prompting both Solicitors to chase this up which achieved the desired result - I am a retired Chartered Quantity Surveyor and have previously been somewhat ambivalent of my property colleagues - would I use Matthew and his team again?
