I love my new home at Wellington Place

I love my new build home at Wellington Place in Market Harborough. The sales consultants were great, helping me to find the perfect 3-bedroom home for me and my young family. The houses are very attractive, have lots of storage space and have designer appliances included. There’s really good local transport links and amenities too, with lots of local walks nearby.

Cheap material, cheap workmanship, back finishing with endless list of flaws, lack of services, customers are to be ripped off, refuse to follow up, their contractors are the worst. Great customer service & show home experience

Visited their site called Lace Fields in Ruddington, Nottingham and had such a great experience with their sales advisors. Really knowledgeable and the show homes were so beautiful and such high quality. Got lots of information on the 4-bedroom homes we’re looking for and can’t wait for the next steps of selecting our plot next year when they’re released.

I have been living in my William Davis home for 4 years and have had the WORST experience. The issues I have had, both big and small, have mostly been dealt with very badly or not at all. The poor quality of workmanship has to be seen to be believed and 4 years on I am still finding issues. Avoid at all costs.

I followed all of the processes only to be told the plot I was looking at was sold. This all happened within 5 working days. Very poor customer support and under arrant repairs still pending.

Very poor customer support and incompleted under warranty repairs . about 30 month since we moved in. Many many issues, some of them attended reasonable time scale ( few weeks ) some of them were very late 2-3 months or over. Still there are under warranty repairs pending over 100days. Overall build quality is Ok. But sub contracted work is very bad quality, roof, heating fence etc..All exhaust fans were fitted without draft prevent seals etc. Rear garden is full of stones under the lawn. Garden fence were almost fall down few times. The garage concrete job was very poor and were dusting badly. Cracks in garage roof and still awaiting fix ( ~100 days )

I am in the process of buying a house at Oak Grange. I have found the service aggressive and Bullying. The solicitors Moss very poor in answering enquiries. I am ready to exchange and they refuse to guarantee transfer on completion. This illegal and unacceptable. They also informed me that they are remarketing the property. I have already paid £3000. This has been a very stressful process. I would like to purchase the house but not without a transfer on completion. I am currently homeless pending the completion of sale estimated as 20/08/2021.

Seem well built but.......

At first all was well. They were very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. But once the two year warranty period was past, slates on our roof began lifting and a couple slipped off. William Davis said it was storm damage and neither they nor NHBC would cover it. Had a roofer to look at it and organise repairs. He said the tiles are made of compressed paper covered in a waterproof layer and are far too light weight for a roof exposed to any sort of winds. Our roofer said that wholly inappropriate roof tiles have been used and it will keep happening. I've noticed some other rooves on our development are going the same way.

Avoid if you care about being treated…

Avoid if you care about being treated with dignity. Very arrogant sales team especially the manager Viv and Karen Buck very poor customer service. Appalling communication and misleading me. I was told to get verified by their mortgage bureau so I can then view a show home which I did imminently. I called back to then be told having an offer on my property is not good enough they can’t waste time as their properties are selling like ‘hot cakes’. On another occasion I asked what size their garden is on a particular property and was told ‘well it’s not going to be a 100 feet is it’. Just by looking at the reviews from other ethnic minority backgrounds it seems that we get treated like second class citizens.

Horrendous experience with William Davis

We have had an awful experience with William Davis and I would not recommend them to anyone. Our issues have included: - Non existent communication with the sales team after reserving our plot (at one stage I was even told that the woman I was speaking to "was too busy" before I had even told her why I was calling). - Incorrect construction of our home (we were given the wrong front door which allowed cold air and water to come in underneath. We then had to wait 10 weeks after raising this issue for it to be rectified with another door which again does not fit properly).- Gas escaping from our boiler with no one "able" to come out and look at it for over a week (we spent days at a time throughout December - February with no heating or hot water).- A rude and dismissive conversation with the Sales Director after we sent in a complaint (I was told that he "could give an excuse for everything I raised but that would take too long". Not only did we not want excuses(!) but we were also told that our experience with the sales team "shows who is the best of the best and who is just run of the mill sales advisors". You would think that a company such as William Davis who supposedly pride themselves on customer service would want all of their staff members to be the best of the best. - Since the disrespectful conversation with the Sales Director we have since had a professional snagging company come to look over our property. They found 180 issues with the property including some which are fire/health and safety hazards and go against the warranty of the build. I cannot recommend others to look elsewhere before buying a property any more. The service is shocking, the quality of the house is beyond poor and the stress and emotion it has put upon us is almost unbearable. Whilst we will be in touch with William Davis regarding the 180 faults with our home, I have come to expect nothing from them in response.

Awful of rep.

Be prepared to be told by an advisor she made a ‘boo boo’ and sold the property you were in the process of purchasing. Visited the show home, arranged a site visit however the rep ‘accidentally’ sold the property we were looking at. Absolutely shocking. Was offered another property however due to the way we have been treated prior to buying, we would never consider buying a build by them. I have never been so annoyed at the sheer ignorance and arrogant service from this rep.
