GoogleAnita Adams has been the most helpful estate agent we have dealt with during our property search. She is professional and courteous and has done everything possible to find us our perfect home. Please be careful when you using Webbers Letting agency in Bideford. We were very good tenants for nearly 2 years and when we moved out, the Manager from this branch threatened us with court cases and legal battles to retain full costs for decoration of a property that had fair, wear and tear over the years. We brought up several notifications warning of damp pillars on the roof, leaked bath through the floors and carpets which were outdated. This is the tip of the iceberg. We suggested to meet half way in terms of costs, but he wouldn't have it and threatened again with legal proceedings. We were left in a corner requiring our deposit back, as we had just had twin girls so the deposit was urgently required to purchase equipment for our babies. His emails we received from him were devastating and shocking to say the least and felt cornered to pay the full sum of money. I have never experienced such forcefulness and there was no integrity with this situation. Please do avoid and be careful.

GoogleThe sale of my house proved to be quite a prolonged and challenging experience and coincided at a time when I was suffering poor health which only caused further personal stress. However, such stress would have been much worse had it not been for Richard & Sally’s unfailing support, care and diligence. They provided a level of service that exceeded all my expectations as they were always available to provide advice and guidance . Moreover, they worked tirelessly to seek a buyer at a time when the market was quite subdued and were successful in attracting a significant number of viewings and their persistence in the follow up of those who viewed was unsurpassed . I have no hesitation in recommending Richard & Sally’s services in acting on behalf of anyone’s house sale.

GoogleRented a house with them a couple of years ago and the agent was rude, unresponsive, and refused to answer clearly to our questions (I suppose they weren't sure about the answer but didn't want to admit it). Fortunately, the landlord was much more responsive, though rightfully upset about having to do the agency's job. We thought it was just that particular agent being unprofessional, but we recently booked a viewing with the sales team and the agent that showed us around was equally awful: he just looked at his phone the whole time we were there and made us feel like he was making us a huge favour being there. Glad we didn't end up buying the property and hopefully won't ever have to deal with Newman Properties again.

Be very very careful when reading your contract, especially the tie in period. Very poor service and consistant lack of communication. When you cancel the contract you are awarded a letter containing a very extensive list of names they had introduced to the property. It seems their sales tactic is to get other agents to sell the property for them.
