Very disappointing.

Our experience very disappointing. Buying from them an absolute disaster. Such a shame as Debbie such a lovely lady to deal with but things went down hill when we were told we could not view our potential home before exchange of contracts which immediately brought up a red flag . We had been so patient and as we were traveling 400 mile and had only viewed the property once we thought this ridiculous and felt we were not being told the whole truth.Although we cannot blame this EA entirely we do feel they should offer more advice to their clients if they want to sell there properties successfully.

My husband and I can highly recommend Bond Oxborough Phillips, as their team dealt with our purchase very efficiently and competently. There were undue delays outside of everyone's control, but there was always a friendly, patient assistant on the line who reassured us when we had queries or concerns regarding our purchase. We are not planning to move again, but should the situation arise, we will use them without hesitation.

Worst Agent In Devon

I've only ever had bad experiences with Bond Oxborough Phillips, more than with any other estate agent in North Devon. On this occasion I went to visit a very affordable rental property of which I progressed to referencing for. After travel and paperwork time, and providing income proof, a guarantor, references and meeting the criteria, I was given a very weak reason for my application being refused. I queried this and came to the conclusion that the landlord was either taking the property off of the market or was doing someone else a favour.Having had multiple experiences with this agent, the problems clearly start at the top of the company, with them either designating talentless partners or training them insufficiently. Likely both. I've never known an agent take the phrase "winging it" so literally. The only saving grace is that the staff, particularly junior associates and apprentices, showing potential and talent don't seem to remain at the company for very long - likely once they realise that they will progress with their career further with a different company, if they haven't been put off for life.I would recommend looking into alternative agents, these will take advantage of you.

Valued my house at 10% less than any other local agent, comparing it to other properties that were incomparable in terms of size and location. Appreciate that he only looked like a teenager and clearly has a lot to learn with his “gift of the gab”, which he definitely didn’t have, but actually asked of my Samsung Frame TV “what is that, is that a hologram or something?” If you’re not sure what a TV is, don’t trust with my business.

Unprofessional & Rude

Contacted them regarding a property they had on their books and asked perfectly reasonable and relevant questions about it and the boundary. No realising the telephone was still on, I was described as "a pain in the bum bum" and that she "didn't like me". I have experience unprofessional people before but they have plumbed new depths. Warning to prospective sellers! If this is the way they treat prospective buyers BEWARE!
