Scott Stevens was amazing to work with, throughout the whole process - they wanted nothing but to find me the right place and did exactly that! Scott and Abigail Jones have been nothing but helpful, updating me whenever possible - even to let me know there’s no updates just yet.The process in reporting to the Building Manager to get things sorted has been slow as the contractors were meant to do it when I moved in two months ago… but good other than that.

We had some unpleasent experiences with our downstair neighbor. Fortunately, Romans, especially Monika Milewski, took it very seriously and got the landlord to agree on an early release. At the end, everything turned out well, but we did fear for some rather large expenses, since we paid 6 months up front. Luckily, they found a new tenant very quickly, so only ended up paying an early release fee. Highly recommended -- they care for their tenants.

I have just completed on a property and dealt with Romans Maidenhead branch. Both Adam and Chloe supported and guided me through the process along with Cheryl who joined at the end. All three were brilliant. They got me answers quickly and worked with both solicitors to push the sale on. My only advice would be to get the move managers involved far earlier in the process. As soon as Cheryl was involved things moved very quickly. This would have really helped to have her earlier in in the process.Thank you all. You were great

We were renting from Romans agency in Bath. We left as soon as our contract ended. We got a flat in a building with a night club and homeless shelter across the street. And nobody tell us this. Apart from the noise and questionable security, what about the crowds every day and every third night in a middle of pandemic? Bottles, glasses, handkerchiefs or just semiliquid waste on the street. Everybody is free to do whatever he wants but I had to be witness of this for 6 months? This is deception, as a solicitor told me.We were renting from Romans agency and never again.

Professional Service and Helpful staff - Lower Earley

Lower Earley Branch - After reading the reviews, other branches do not seem so successful, however this branch is very good. Staff respond promptly to queries and a very helpful and friendly. I am happy to be renting on of their properties as I feel looked after. Other estate agents in the area were very unprofessional and lacked prompt communication. Antony is particularly helpful. I only knock one star off as it was not disclosed within the tenancy the frequency of inspections to my property, this part was very vague.

We cannot thank Romans enough for every step of the sales process. Even during ‘lockdown’ they secured a buyer in just over three weeks. The staff at High Wycombe were amazing; responsive, proactive and professional. Their Client Liaison, Lyndsey, shone and kept us in the loop. Stephanie, Chris and Callum worked so hard on our behalf. If only our buyer’s buyer had also used Romans then the date from sale to completion may well have been quicker and the transition smoother. Romans have been so helpful throughout the entire purchase from start to finish. They were flexible when it came to the viewings and making sure i could view it multiple times before i put the offer in. They were highlight knowledgeable about the property and were swift between offer and accepted. I used the recommend Romans solicitors also and the team managing this were responsive and helped drive an accept to complete in 2months during covid (both buyer and seller had no chain). After initially renting our house out through Romans, it made sense to consider them for the sale. Stephanie Furness from the sales team had made initial contact months earlier and had kept in touch so she was the first person I rang when I was ready. After comparing Romans High Wycombe with a couple of other estate agents, on balance we thought they had a better service offering. Stephanie was great. 100% do not recommend!

I tried to buy a house with Romans Bracknell. I would not wish to repeat the experience! The viewing and initial negotiation went well, and everyone I spoke to at this stage was very pleasant. I wanted to move before the stamp duty freeze ended, but the people I was trying to buy from went suspiciously quiet at the beginning of June for about two weeks. My solicitors chased twice a day, every day with no response from their solicitors, and the Move Manager was unable to get any information to me either. Obviously it was a time of extremely high demand and very stressful for all concerned, but the lack of communication compounded this - and - upon reflection, I now think was deliberate stalling tactics.Eventually at the last minute (as I completed the sale of my property and was ready to exchange) I was told the sellers were not prepared to inconvenience themselves and move out in time for me to take advantage of the stamp duty holiday. I think they hoped as we were so far down the line, I would not walk away.I received a call from someone senior at Romans which was aggressive and actually quite threatening. I would not recommend this person speak to anyone (let alone a female) in this manner again. He told me they would market the property again for more money if I withdrew my offer, and that his clients were not willing to disrupt themselves or bear the cost of breaking the chain to move out earlier than 30th June. Unfortunately he was unable to advise of what date they could move out - effectively rendering me homeless for an indefinite amount of time!By pure fluke, I put an enquiry in to view another house and spoke to the agent at the top of the chain who advised me of the potential move date. It took Romans a further week to communicate this date to me. I withdrew my offer as my circumstances changed, and I felt there was a basic lack of respect for my time and costs. I understand the fees are ultimately paid by the sellers, but they can only be paid when someone buys! If there had not been a delay, I would - without question - have bought the property. But the attitude displayed to me has put me off ever dealing with this agent again. There are other, much more reputable agents in the local area, who must find it frustrating when their deals are ruined by others.

From the minute I enquired, Ryan was onto my enquiry straight away and found me the right property that met my requirements within minutes. I needed something as soon as possible and Ryans efficiency and professionalism made the whole process stress-free and smooth. A week before I was due to move in, I was unfortunately very ill but Ryan went out of his way to measure the property for me from the walls to the windows to the stairs to help me out. There is no other company we'd have rather shared our rollercoaster house buy with!! I feel like we all bought this house. We bought the house when I was 8 months pregnant and so we knew it was going to be stressful. But I don't think anyone could have anticipated just how difficult and long the process has been (we are getting the keys today- 7 months later; my child has literally stood and said his first word in the time it's taken to buy this house). We had a really long chain and there have been many stumbling blocks along the way. From difficult clients (not our sellers by the way), outstanding paperwork, delays, multiple let downs with exchange dates, trouble with banks and broken boilers, it's just as though there have been so many walls put up, and Romans were there, by our side, to pick up the pieces every single time. Stephanie and Lyndsey went above and beyond and I cannot fault anything about them or their part in our house purchase. Stephanie came and showed us the property multiple times and then answered the phone to 9 months pregnant me multiple times. Each time she spoke with patience and kindness. Lyndsey is just another level incredible. She is personable, professional and powerful in every respect. She took on the huge role of managing our chain and I bet she had no idea what she was taking on. I feel like she totally empathised with our situation and took it upon herself to ensure that we weren't let down. She just did everything she could to put our minds at ease and fight our corner. She is worth her weight in gold and I feel like there is no other person is have wanted to have our backs during this process.
