What a FANTASTIC TEAM Russell & Butler are! Both my mother and I have just successfully sold each of our homes using Russell & Butler - Tracey, Cheryl, Alice, Michelle, Brian & Nick were all brilliant and we're so pleased we chose them to manage the sale of both of our homes. All of the team are so friendly, professional, super efficient and kept us constantly updated on progress throughout the entire process on both house sales. They all work so hard and are worth every penny of their commission. Exceptional thanks goes to Tracey who’s been quite remarkable throughout the process of managing the chain for mum’s sale. Her knowledge, experience, excellent communication and calm handling of each situation faced, we knew we were in great hands. Don’t go anywhere else.

If you’re selling, don’t even think about going anywhere else. If you’re buying, find yourself a house with a Russell & Butler board and buy that one! The R&B team were professional, approachable and sensitive to our needs as clients. They also have a distinct advantage in the field of estate agency: They have a Sales Progressor. I’ll be honest, I’d never heard of one of these. But now I understand fully their significance within the team and the indispensable nature of their service in terms of ............progressing a sale. Tracey was efficient, knowledgeable, enthusiastic- and she was this, in abundance from start to finish. Nothing stopped this lady. She is one of the most dedicated and personable people I’ve ever worked with.....Worked with? (‘But you’re just a customer...’). Ah yes, but this is an indication of the degree to which we felt involved in the process, with regular updates, advice and encouragement where it was needed. She invested herself professionally and personally 110% and I am certain that without her heroic efforts we would not now be celebrating the end of this difficult journey. The one that ends with a ‘new’ home, if Russell & Butler have anything to do with it.....

I have moved a number of times over the last few years due to personal circumstances and in this time I have used both Russel & Butlers sales and lettings team of which both delivered fantastic customer service with very friendly faces and a welcoming atmosphere. I have to give a special shout out to their sales progressor Tracey, in my latest (& last!) move she was an absolute asset to her team and a source of sanity to myself and my partner in what was an extremely stressful road to completion, without Tracey going above and beyond to keep us updated within the chain and being available when ever we needed her to check or chase something and provide reassurance we would have found our move considerably more stressful than it already was and myself and my partner thinks every estate agent should have a Tracey! I would highly recommend Russel & Butler to anyone considering to let or sell there property. You could be rest assured that you are in safe hands!

Great experience for first time buyers

We recently bought our first house through Russell & Butler and couldn’t be more happy. The service from our first viewing was impeccable. The majority of houses we viewed in Buckingham were through russell & butler as they had the best selection but they were also the most proactive in terms of recommending new properties that would suit us. We had to complete and exchange on the same day which we couldn’t have done without the help of Tracey. We appreciate all Cheryl and Brian’s help throughout and couldn’t recommend them more!

Big thanks to the team at R & B!!

We recently completed on a flat which was being sold by R&B. We have chosen R&B to take care of our rental properties for almost 5 years and have never had a problem whatsoever. Nothing is a problem, just a resolution!Lisa and her team in rentals are great and continue to maintain a fair and honest approach to both landlords and tenants which we are very happy with.During the recent purchase we were appointed a lovely lady called Tracey who was our sales coordinator throughout. She was absolutely fantastic, she kept us informed of all stages, gave us a nudge when we needed to act on something, and ultimately made the process run smoothly (although all purchases have bumps!)On the days running up to completion she was fantastic and I honestly don’t think we would have completed by now had it not been for her. Thank you very much Rachel, other agents should take note of having somebody in the role you do as it is great for seller and buyer alike!

We purchased our house through R&B with the help of Cheryl. We were highly impressed from day one with her service and professionalism in finding us the right home.Cheryl went over and above what she had to do, even to the point that on the day on Completion Barclays Bank crashed so funds couldn't be transferred so potentially we would have been homeless over the BH Weekend. Thanks to Cheryl lasing with all the solicitors involved we got our keys at 4pm that day.As for the rest of the team, we have always been made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Poor service- AVOID

If I could leave a zero review I would . Check on their Google review photos of property that has been subject to rat infestation. They clearly haven't done their job properly inspecting the rental property before they let it out . When we reported the issue no one came out to see the scale of drama . Although we are a private tenant Russell & Butler failed to be accountable and relocate us . They didnt even try to find a solution . Council is coming this evening to house us to a local hotel as the entire kitchen is covered in rat droppings and they have completely taken over . That should tell you all about Russel & Butler and their after sales care for you .

Bought a property recently via Brian & Russell and we can vouch for their professionalism. Communication was spot on. During the course of the purchase, we met both Brian and Nick who were very responsive to our requests, and when they didn't have the answers to our questions, promised to check and call back - which they did. The whole team was friendly and everyone seemed to know the details of the transaction, and could just pick up the file and run with it in the absence of a team member we had been dealing with. Tracey was particularly helpful in the sales progression and very prompt with queries and general advice. R&B contacted other parties in the chain to expedite the process which resulted in a delightful timescale of 16 weeks. I can't thank the Russell & Butler team enough.

A good experience

Buying a house is 100% the most stressful tasks you could possibly set yourself, and me and my wife proved this. Every sell and / or purchase is going to have the naturals bumps and worries throughout, until that contract is signed. What is important for me is having someone help ease those worries and ensure you get up-to-date communication and news on the problems. Russell and Butler did exactly that, they have a close knit team of people who are on the ground with you and more than happy to get their hands dirty to make it just that touch easier.I couldnt recommend them anymore, they wasnt forceful and was more than supportive of EVERY single question / ask I had from them. Russell and Butler recently sold our HMO property in Buckingham, The original valuation was a little high and this did need to reduced which wasted a bit of time.Once the sale had been agreed the sales coordination managed by Tracey took over, Tracey was professional and very tenacious during what became quite a complicated sale, and although at points we thought it would fall through, Tracey maintained a dialogue between all parties throughout the process and managed to keep the sale on track, Having a dedicated sales coordinator is definitely a plus and for this reason I would highly recommend Russell and Butler as a cut above the other agents in the area..

We had a really good service and care…

We had a really good service and care from R&B through the sale of our house. They have a full time sales progressor (Tracey) who makes sure your sale is kept on track throughout. For us this was a complicated chain of nine, and we need her insight, motivation and attention to detail to keep things moving. Also Cheryl is a great sales person - helping us to sell our house but also look for a new one. Compared to all the other agents we worked with she has great intuition for what can work and takes time to get to know you and your families needs.

We found a house in Buckingham two and a half years ago, it was the best in the area for what we wanted lovely house on the river well maintained and we snapped it up right away. It was with Russel&Butler and our first meeting was with Debbie. Debbie has been so nice to us all this time very helpful, always polite and very friendly (even bumped in to her in the pub once!) Russell and butler made the whole process very easy helping every step of the way nothing was too much trouble. Then we met Rachel who managed our property, what a great lady she is always ready to help, always quick to reply to emails and since they have had an online app to report issues this allows Rachel to be even better at what she already does so well. Contracts and terms always well explained, issues (not that we had many!) dealt with swiftly and professionally, always lending me the spare keys when I lock myself out (Thanks Debbie you saved my bacon a dozen times!) We are moving on soon I’m sad to say and Not only will we miss our house and quiet little piece of Buckingham but we will miss Russel and butler and all the team I wish we could take this agency to our new house Highly recommended to anyone looking to live in the area or surrounding simply the best (and we’ve dealt with a few over the years!!) we rented a property of Russel and butler , what a bunch of cowboys. We didn't expect the level of vindictiveness from a so called professional outfit , upon moving out of our property they entered without our permission and took photos before we had a chance to have the property cleaned and ready for checkout , we informed them we would be out of the property and would let them know once everything was in order , they decided to send a letter to an empty property knowing full well we were not living there at that time as we moved the previous Friday , the property was cleaned 3 days after Rachael had been in and taken over 200 pictures anything from dust to a bush in n the garden we went in to the property 3 days after and it was cleaned the keys were posted through the letterbox of the property, then they decided to send us pictures of before the clean and antagonise us into what could be called nothing more than a slanging match. Luckily we have our own pictures of a clean and presentable property on our checkout , although not up to their standards it seems , watch these characters like a hawk any chance to get one over on you they will be rubbing their hands together. We dealt with Debbie , Rachael and Lisa all are a devious bunch whose main aim is to get what they can out of you and seem to enjoy the battle as it were. Looking at the other reviews I'm not surprised at all , be warned all smiles on check in and all out war on checkout , seek legal advice and don't give them an inch or your pockets will be emptied

Experience of using Russell and Butler Agent

The Russell and Butler Agent in Buckingham is one to avoid.My daughter lived in one of the houses they managed for six months with a friend from Buckingham University. They were treated poorly because they were young/students the kind of treatment they would not have received if they were adults.Now they are trying to exploit them and to make matters worse they have brought up all kinds of problems with the house and now wants to deduct large chunk of money from their deposits despite the house been very old house.Any student out there wanting to use them should be aware before they go ahead!Thank you

Highly recommended

We had two quotes from two agents and initially chose the other agent rather that Russell & Butler because we viewed them as more suitable to sell an equestrian home. How wrong were we! Anyway focusing on the positives I can summarise as follows our experience of Russell & Butler, excellent set of details including a video of our property which we were thrilled with, worked with us on the wording for the online property portals and had an excellent set of terms and conditions so that we knew exactly what we were signing up to. We had 2 viewings and both buyers offered and we sold within 72 hours of going to market. We made sure through R&B that the buyers were fully aware of any items that might crop up during searches and enquiries ahead of accepting our 2nd offer including sending some video footage that was passed onto the buyer. This meant we had a totally smooth transaction with they buyer fully aware of what to expect. We were told by our solicitors that we could expect to complete our sale within 15 to 18 weeks but with the buyers, ourselves and R&B fully motivated to take advantage for the buyers of the stamp duty discount we got the sale through in 8 weeks. R&B had excellent communications throughout from Brian one of the Directors, Tracey the Senior Sales Progressor to Alice who raised the invoice at the end. I can honestly say they were 100% and we would happily recommend them to both sellers and buyers
