Only bumping up to 2 stars due to a relatively smooth check-out process. But they basically fully ignore any repair requests no matter how genuine they are. They also rely on longer than average fixed tenancy terms to just turn over to next desperate tenant. I would generally avoid.

Not sure how to start. My daughter and friends moved into a rented house as they are students at Nottingham university. Deposit paid on property and keys had to be collected from the estate agents office. No ID was asked for when collecting the keys, no information given on the property. I entered the property with my daughter to find the kitchen flooded as the fridge had been turned off at the wall and a leak under the sink. Before we could unpack any items we had to clean the property. The boiler has broken twice, 2nd time taking nearly 2 weeks to repair. Damp has started to come through on the bedroom ceiling and in the dining room. The garden should also be maintained by a gardener which is none existent. A few weeks after moving in Bill's started to arrive ( Bill's are included in with the rent ). Water, Gas, Electric. I rang C P Walker to be told ignore the letters and drop them Into the office. I did this to be greeted by a gentleman who's shirt was hanging out and looked like he'd just got out of bed and no manners at all. His reply was you'll probably get more Bill's arrive just bring them into the office. Reading other reviews on this company it seems as if students are treated with no respect at all.NegativeProfessionalism

Great guys. I rented a house through them for 18 months and he experience was wholly positive. Prompt repairs, convenient and detailed online reporting system (Fixflo) and easy to understand procedures moving in and out. My deposit was intact when I left, as they were fair with the normal wear a house gets over a year and a half. Other agents will look for flimsy wear reasons to deduct your bond. I also got a prompt response when I needed them to referee my next rent. I would have given them 6 stars out of 5 if that was possible.

We have used CP Walker for many years and have always had a superb service from start to finish. We rent some properties with them and communication with regards to rent and invoices are always prompt and conscise. Recntly we have sold a property through CP Walker, had a couple of failed attempts due to seller issues but throughout the whole process CP Walker have been supportive and responsive with all elemtsn of the sale. Would highly recommend for anyone in the Beeston and Nottingham area.

I have been using the Lettings Management Service offered by CP Walker & Son for over 13 years now. I find them to be particularly proactive and professional in offering this service, much more so than agents I use to manage other properties, and I find I can just leave them to get on with things. I like their business model, they just have a straight management percentage; when they say fully managed, they mean it. A predictable budget is such a benefit when trying to manage in a buy-to-let market which is becoming more and more challenging. They are also a friendly team, they are quick to respond to enquiries, and this reinforces confidence and the belief that your business is valuable to them. They have access to a pool of competent tradespeople, and manage maintenance and repair work efficiently and cost effectively. Throughout my 2 year tenancy in Beeston, I've found C P Walker & Son to be very professional and efficient estate agents, and have kept us well informed with updates to the tenancy. I've had 8 rentals in the last 11 years with various Estate Agents/landlords, and this one definitely had the most reasonable and efficient landlord. We only had a few minor problems and they were all fixed very quickly. 5/5 would recommend.
