My girlfriend rented a flat through this agency, and the overall service was extremely poor. The manager, Katie, was unresponsive, replies to emails often took a week or more, if they came at all. Maintenance issues were either ignored or dragged on for months without resolution. Complaints made no difference, as the responses were generic and unhelpful. Would not recommend this agency to anyone.

GoogleFANTASTIC SERVICE FROM HONEST PEOPLE AT REASONABLE PRICES
Back in 2011, my partner and I rented our first studio flat from the Capital Bromley branch and, from the very beginning, we felt that it was a very serious agency. As tenants, we were treated very fairly by Joe, and from that moment we knew that if we ever got on the landlord side of things, we’d definitely keep them in mind.
Well, fast forward 12 years, it turns out I had a house to let, so after also contacting other agencies for property management services -and getting the standard aggressive sales pitch approach that didn’t even take into considerations my priorities and what I wanted out of the property management service- I was 100% convinced that Capital Bromley was the right choice.
Apart from the fact that their commission rates are very reasonable, my current points of contact, Hannah and Katie, are great to deal with, they are very thorough with their periodic inspections, and the few maintenance issues that have come up have been dealt with promptly. I’m reaching the end of my second year with them now and I can’t see myself going anywhere else. Highly recommended!

I was self employed at the time and they were the only agents to genuinely help me and care about our situation, as many others had told me renting wouldn’t be possible. GoogleI had an appalling time with this agency.
I put in an offer on a rental property, which was accepted. Worked with them on the vetting process, which I passed. We agreed on acceptance of the offer that I would hold the tenancy, and my partner and children were to be permitted residents. This was important as my partner is not ideally placed to be an applicant at this juncture.
This was the basis upon which I decided to proceed with this property. I followed everything they asked for to the letter. Then three days before we moved in they asked for my partner details, and they now wanted to vet him, which wasn’t what we agreed. Denied the validity of a tax calculation in lieu of and SA302, which is the same thing - it’s just published earlier.
They withdrew the offer the day before we moved in. No duty of care, no advice as to where to go, or what do do next. As a consequence of the withdrawal, my daughters missed 20 days of school, as we were effectively then homeless for 6 weeks.
We eventually were able to get something else and were just able to get the kids back to school without losing their places. It was just the most horrendous and distressing situation I’d ever been in in my 24 years as a tenant.
Capital move the goal posts, then lie to conceal the fact, and are so irresponsible considering they are key components in people’s lives at an already stressful time that anyone self-employed, or not in a very traditional lifestyle set up I would say proceed with caution.
There was a basic lack of understanding about how things work and the integrity of unique circumstances. Withdrawing an offer 1 day before a move with no duty of care policy in place is negligence, and particularly when it comes to handling families with children. Please BEWARE and make sure everything you agree is documented on email.

While your application and documentation met our criteria, the second tenant failed to meet the documentation required and failed our credit checking process. Based on this we were unable to grant you tenancy of the intended property. A delay of these documents also played into the tight time frame of which was required for your move.
We must act with integrity and due diligence. In this instance, it became clear that some crucial information was not provided or clarified, despite our repeated requests. It's worth noting that any decision made in relation to an application, especially one as significant as withdrawing an offer, is never taken lightly. Such decisions are always based on specific criteria and in line with the property owner's preferences.
We always aim to ensure that the rental process is transparent, fair, and efficient. We are genuinely sorry for the disruption this caused you and your family. We remain committed to providing excellent service to all our clients and continue to strive to ensure situations like these are kept to a minimum.
