I have had my house up for sale for 2…

I have had my house up for sale for 2 1/2 months now during the current "housing boom" with this agent. During this time I have had four viewings - a fifth did not show up and no explanation was given. The first "buyer" made an offer, then withdrew it two weeks later after searches had been started. Last person to view told me my house was "overpriced, too small, and about to collapse due to a construction fault", which - if it is a fault - affects all 120 houses on this 40-year-old estate! He then offered 10% below asking price, which had already been reduced. Nobody seems to know what other staff are doing, they double up on calls, or do not call at all. I had to constantly remind them of my situation and circumstances. Given up now - will try again in the new year with another agent.

I am far from happy with them

I am far from happy with them, i have now been without hot water for 11 days and still they are not chasing the plumber to fix the boiler, as my shower also works from my boiler i can even have a bath or shower. I am disgusted with the service, how would they feel with no hot water!!!!!!!!!!I have to state this is NOT down to my landlord as he is paying them to deal with this.I have now told them that if it is not fixed by the weekend i will be going to environmental health and trading standards.....

This is the most unprofessional firm I have ever come across. Trying to get them to rent you any property is a complete waste of time. They will never call you back, never respond to an email. Avoid these people. It took these morons 2 weeks to respond to an offer. Complete fools.The very next agent I called completely blew me away with speed and effeciency. I have been waiting two and a half…

I have been waiting two and a half years for Miles and Barr to replace a single fence panel at our boundary with a property that they let next door, I offered to do the job for the cost of the fence panel (as it just needs a new one to be slotted into two concrete posts) but they cannot authorise.I’ve spent this whole summer with a 6ft gap in my fence and my pets have had to stay indoors, when we call they tell you that person that deals with lettings is not there and then shortly after you get a text stating that somebody is coming to look at it or to price it.They’ve blamed it on Coronavirus but how did they know about Covid 2 years ago?They are dreadful to deal with and have ruined our summer more than lockdown has, as we can’t even sit in our beautiful garden.I bet it will be done immediately when they want new tenants as they’ve told us the current tenants are leaving soon.

AVOID! Never again will I get in contact with…

Never again will I get in contact with Miles and Barr, you’re given false information and get passed around on the phone to different people that don’t know what they are talking about. I had a viewing booked that I was specifically told could not accept an offer until ALL the viewings has taken place. I now receive a call with an offer being placed and nothing more they can do when being fed false information. Very unprofessional and unorganised people that do not know what they are talking about.

Avoid at all costs

I concur with everything that has been written in the 1* or less category!My brother and I inherited a flat in Broadstairs and in 10 months they have not succeeded in getting any interest apart from some individuals who made an insulting offer some 35% below their assessed valuation.The property details were inaccurate from day one, and despite numerous attempts by my brother and myself to get the agents to amend them, no action was taken in the whole time they had the flat on their books.To sum up, the staff are untrained in basic communication skills, they are pushy and rude when you do get hold of them on the phone, and nobody seems to be in charge or able to motivate the staff to do what they should be doing. i.e. provide a service to whatever the client has initially been promised .Self serving, is accurate,as another client wrote in their one star review; if it were possible to go lower than 1 I would do so without hesitation.Lazy indolent and unprofessional in the extreme would be my summary.Do not use this firm, they are dire even by the measure of the average estate agency these days, and that is saying something!!

******FAKE REVIEWS******* pestered me to put my property on the market with them with them when i was sold with another agent, had one of my neighbours properties for sale which they had sold on the basis of one of their weak mortgages, this sale fell through so they stole our buyer and got a lower offer on our neighbours property for them, about as low as you get, steer well clear if you want a gentlemanly service, also look at their reviews, obviously friends and family, they got a bad review from me the suddenly a stream appear overnight, not a coincidence and check out the names, all false accounts!!!

My parents were shown around a potentially new home and one of your staff members, Dasha, was incredibly lovely with them.
