We used Ocean Financial Services to help us to find the best mortgage for us when buying our first home. In very uncertain times Luigi was amazing. When rates changed he was in contact immediately and by the time we exchanged had saved us approx £150 a month from our initial mortgage quote.

Elizabeth was great at communicating progression. I never met her but her emails were efficient and prompt. Viewings..A little more respect of the house would be appreciated, footprints etc. Admittedly the property was empty and needed an overhaul but it was an emotional attachment and home.Overall a good outcome, and would use again if needed.

We used ocean estate agents and solicitors for the purchase of our flat in Bristol. We would not recommend them at all. We were assured that by using ocean solicitors communication would be easier but if anything it was a hindrance as they played each other off against themselves, with us in the middle. About 80% of documents we received had errors in, including our names (several times), purchase price, amounts owed etc. We never got an update without chasing and important documents weren’t shared with us unless we asked to see them.We were given incorrect information by the estate agents upon our initial viewing, which was then repeatedly confirmed by them despite legal documents stating otherwise. This had a big impact on the buying process from our side.Our experience was one of poor communication, constant mistakes and lack of professionalism.

He worked to get us the best mortgage rates throughout the process, even applying for new products so that we always had the best rates. We really felt like he was on our side. GoogleIn general, I’ve been pretty happy with Ocean. Their move managers regularly checked in to make sure I was up to date. The agent asked the seller the questions I raised and forwarded me on the response in reasonable time, and they were helpful in giving me the time to view the property a couple of times, as well as organise to have access for room measurements etc after the offer was accepted. When it came to completion, there was a bit of hassle - I had a few calls from them chasing to complete by a particular date “because their client wants to complete by this date”...but it turned out the client hadn’t signed everything required so wasn’t in a position to complete anyway. There was also a mystery other offer...”from one of the neighbours”. Little did the agent know, but I’d spoken to some of the neighbours prior to finding this out and none of them seemed interested in the property, so it was difficult to take this seriously, and might explain why I managed to get the property for more than 3% less than the supposed other bid.. Very glad I didn’t bump up my offer by any more. So, a few classic estate agent issues, but in general, no mega issues and i’ve been pretty happy with the service and would consider selling through them, or buying through them again in the future.

GoogleI had two very good viewings which were all coordinated by James but unfortunately, I was unable to continue with the process due to personal reasons. James was really nice and very understanding of my situation. Other members of the team I briefly spoke to were all very nice and exceptionally helpful. I will highly recommend their services to anyone in search of a home and I will be returning to them in the near future when I am ready to start looking again. Ebenezer.

GoogleWhere do I start firstly I would like to thank you all I met most of you Stacey was great during the time mums house was on the market. We sold my mums house at the hardest time during lockdown when viewings were limited. Ocean we’re very professional about this and made us feel confident. I would really like to mention Lisa the move manager for going above and beyond. It can be a quiet and scary time waiting to hear from solicitor’s but thanks to Lisa she was always there keeping us in the loop and chasing all party’s on liaising with all Lisa you truly are a star/diamond and you really have a lovely kind caring and professional way with your role in the company. This is the 2nd time we’ve used this company as Lawrence sold our daughters flat, that also went through so smoothly and quick. Friendly, helpful and responsive throughout the entire process from application to moving in. James was particularly brilliant in the early stages of the process quick to answer calls and emails to answer questions and keep us updated on next steps. Scott was quick to go out of his way in getting us in to the property to measure-up ahead of move in which was very helpful. GoogleWe were delighted with how Ocean Estate Agents handled our house move. At the start, Stacey showed a strong understanding of the local market and helped manage our expectations. She responded to various questions promptly and demonstrated an initial enthusiasm that went on to feed through to the rest of the sale. Her drive and commitment continued with quick responses to questions, getting the property on Rightmove quickly and accurately, and setting up a good list of potential buyers. An acceptable offer was made within a week of going live and throughout the process to completion, Lisa kept the case bubbling along and never stalling. We were really pleased with how the sale went and we recommend them highly.

Having previously dealt with Taylor’s/Countrywide Group I was very sceptical about using the estate agents services (solicitors) but we definitely made the right choice! From our first viewing all the way through we have had amazing contact from Lisa, Jasmine and Clare. The whole process has been so thorough and smooth we didn’t realise a move could be made so simple by using the right people! If you’re selling or buying Ocean are the best to deal with! We have not had to chase for updates or push for progression, they have been self sufficient saving us so much extra stress. GoogleOut of four agencies I did some viewing requests with, was Ocean (James and Jemima), the only agency who was proactive. James sent me a list on new properties in the area and kept me up to date. When we came to view James told us that Jemima will be look after us in his absence. Jemima was a star and gone above and beyond in getting us to view a new property fresh on the market, which turned out the one we went for. From this end they both helped us through the process, and it was all very well set out and accommodating. James made the process very easy and was quick to respond with any queries that I had. He was professional and kept in regular contact throughout the letting process. GoogleBeing a tennent for the last few years I have had some experience with letting agents, I recently agreed a tenancy through ocean estate agents in Downend and I have to say these are a very professional customer orientated group of people. I dealt with Jemima who was fantastic from the first interaction. She was in constant contact with me every step of the way and communicated exceptionally well keeping me up to date and on track at each stage of the application. I did have one very minor issue and after having a quick conversation over the phone with her I was quickly reassured and put at ease. Service when picking up keys was not very welcoming. Asked in a very blunt way if I had the cash for appliances we were buying. Was not very friendly at this point. There was no congrats in buying the property. (Didn't feel special). At the start they were very friendly, but did not like the end when picking up the keys.
Where the same review appears twice we show it once. We leave out reviews that name another agent or another of the brand's offices.
