Initial contact with Ocean is great, pre having a sale agreed, they answer the phone quickly and seem really on it. However, it’s a whole different story whilst the sales transaction is going through … they have all your numbers on their system and then just refuse to answer the phone to you. They do not consider it their responsibility to ensure your purchase goes though promptly, and it is their policy to not discuss a move date at all until all solicitors have completed the paperwork. This seems sensible, but results in them taking no ownership at all over how long it takes for your sale to go through. Instead, when you do finally get through to them, you get platitudes about managing your mental health, rather than updates of how you sale is proceeding. My 1 star review relates to the fact that I have now both bought and sold through Ocean, and both transaction took 6 months despite their straightforward nature (chain free or with 1 link in the chain). They will almost certainly reply to this saying that time scale is ‘normal’ or my case was ‘complex’. I would assert that yes, I can now believe 6 months plus is normal for a sale via ocean (though I have seen 12-16 weeks quoted as normal elsewhere) and would struggle to see how my transactions could have been any less complex! Believe what you will, just felt it was best to share my experience. Up to you if 6 months and upwards feels right for you :-)Ocean also tried to trap me into using their Conveyancing Solicitors by simply ‘agreeing to on my behalf’, I can’t imagine that service is very good either if that’s the way that business is created.

We had Joshua as our agent and he was very helpful at all times. He would reply to any inquiries we sent as well as helping us through the process. Overall it was a very stress free and efficient process. We viewed the house on a Friday and by the following Monday received confirmation it was ours! Would definitely recommend and use again in the future! Many thanks to Ocean and to Joshua.

The staff were a pleasure to deal with. From those in the estate agency and the solicitors office. Our moving day didn’t go as planned due to the World Wide Web internet problems and phones being down in the local office, but the staff worked hard and we were eventually, and thankfully given the keys very late in the afternoon.

If you want to move to your new home, Ocean Estate Agents are the best to go with. My wife and I recently moved to Bristol and were looking for a permanent place to live in, and after viewing few properties we meet William Jenkins on a viewing from Ocean Agents. He was really kind, helpful and genuine. We visited two properties with him were he oriented us in details and great suggestion. He made our process smooth and quick as promised. I am not sure where to start, because Ocean Estate agents in Bradley Stoke exceeded all our expectations in every aspect.Our House selling/buying process was a very painful and drawn-out process which took 15 months (this was no fault of Ocean’s at all). I think any other estate agent would have not persevered with us for so long without seeing any financial gain.The whole team were fantastic to us throughout this period:Stefano, The best to ever do it. Ocean estate agents right from the start with Ella and Jess having the patience with me as I over analysed the property were so friendly. After having multiple viewings around Bristol, I noticed the welcoming professionalism stayed consistent which was never the case with other estate agent companies. Once my bid was accepted, Debbie looked after me relaying important information back and forth, keeping me in the loop and the process flowing. I found Debbie, like other Ocean staff, to be so kind and understanding, especially as I was a first time buyer. So, thanks again Ocean Estate Agents, I couldn’t have asked for better.

Ocean were brilliant from start to finish - we used their associated law firm to handle our purchase as well as dealing with them as estate agents and they made the whole process very straightforward. All of the staff we dealt with friendly, efficent and knowledgable, and we also consulted their mortgage advisor who provided some useful advice. I'd dealt previously with Ocean while we were looking for a rental property in the city and found them to be one of the most helpful agents I spoke to - unlike some other rental agents in the city there was no pressure to 'bid' on properties and they were super-helpful in trying to find somewhere right for us. Highly recommend Ocean all round - excellent property services and advice!

Worst home sales agency in Bristol. Little seriousness, reliability and transparency in selling property.We made an offer to sell a flat and were told they had outbid us. Months later we notice that the same flat was sold for less than our offer.I do not recommend this agency.

As an independent service provider and local employer of 40 years, we continually strive to provide the best possible service for all.Thank you for your comments, however; we are at a loss as to why you would provide a negative review after your four-year tenancy. As with all negative comments, a Director investigates matters. Our Property Management team have confirmed we have no record of any outstanding property issues, indeed your property manager is not aware of any disruptions for the whole of your tenancy.
