I had a poor experience with Hollis Morgan. I was in the process of purchasing a new build property advertised by Hollis Morgan, and had my offer accepted in Sept 25, and progressed close to exchange of contracts. Late in the process, I was informed by my solicitor that there was an issue with the property title relating to access to the property, and that indemnity insurance would be required due to the absence of a formal easement. Although the developer paid for the indemnity insurance, I was very frustrated as this had only been raised months down the process and not disclosed at the outset. Based on this new information and the associated risks, I decided to withdraw from the purchase. My experience was that this was a significant issue to be raised so late in the transaction, and earlier transparency would have influenced my decision-making. I requested for the developer to pay our legal fees as a gesture of good will which they refused. I also raised this with Hollis Morgan and they didn’t provide much support on this matter and just told us to raise it with our solicitor. I appreciate that Hollis Morgan may not have known this but we were purchasing this property via them and they were not helpful at all!

We have had a very positive experience with Hollis and Morgan. This is our first dealing with a property auction. From meeting up with Olly, we have been very pleased with the whole process. The Auction team have kept us updated of viewings at all times, as well as any other matters. Previously we engaged an estate agent and had no interest over three months. Liam was absolutely amazing in helping us sell our property in Bristol. Despite the fact that we have moved out of the UK and are based overseas, Liam had no problem in communicating with us throughout the process. The time difference, international calls, none of that mattered, it was as if we were still back in the UK. Olly and his team at Hollis Morgan were absolutely brilliant. The flat we were selling had cladding issues and therefore wasn't mortgagable via mortgage providers and with a small baby in tow we needed a quick and successful sale. During what was a very stressful time the team were incredibly professional, helpful and supportive. Communication was amazing from start to finish and a particular thanks to Lucinda who was amazing in the lead up to the auction. If you simply want the best then this is the team to use. In very difficult times of social distancing and lock down this is the only way to sell. Olly and his team are very professional.
