I have rented through Sure Property for two years and my experience has been nothing but positive. There were two issues with the property in the last two years (electric shower broke and the roof leaked) and both were dealt with by the agency and the landlord extremely quickly and efficiently. The agency has engaged periodically to undertake check ins, giving me plenty of notice, and every person I’ve spoken with has been polite , professional and engaged. I would highly recommend the agency and would absolutely rent through them again. A great team, great support, and they made the entire end to end process an ease. Many thanks!

This agency found it appropriate and safe to show me, and many others, a flat with a bathroom completely covered in black mould. They told me the mould was due to structural issues. I wonder if it was inhabited by one of the unfortunate tenants who have also left a bad review here, complaining of damp issues not being fixed, because when I asked how the mould and structural issues would be addressed going forwards, this agent said they don’t know. That is because they do not plan to ever fix it. Interestingly, I also saw this agency advertising a flat in wellend villas, neglecting to include the vital info that the entire estate is undergoing extensive refurbishment for the next two years, with hundreds of balconies being replaced. I hope the unlucky person chose that flat enjoys two entire years of non-stop construction noise. Finally, I enquired about a property this agent had previously advertised for rent, and they straight up lied to me, and said it was never advertised. I have notes and screenshots of it - what a strange thing to lie about. When I confronted them, there was an awkward silence, and they doubled down with their lie. Really makes you wonder what they’re hiding? I don’t usually bother leave reviews for estate agents, as they all appear to engage in some level of lying and deception. But this agent is putting people’s lives in danger by renting out places absolutely covered in black mould. They’re also really bad at lying and need to improve this skill.

I Have just purchased a property in Brighton for the first time and had the pleasure of dealing with Zena. Zena Has been AMAZING. As a first time buyer she has guided me through the process and also looked out for me to ensure I am receiving the highest quality of service all around even when she did not need to. Zena is professional but so personable. I would feel comfortable to reach out to her at any time no matter how big or small the issue/question was. I was so lucky to have found Sure Property Solutions. I was thinking of selling my studio flat, I walked past the shop, went in, got to talk to Zena and the rest is history. Zena especially, and everyone in her team is very efficient, professional and friendly. The services has been great, quick responses, attentive to details with in-depth knowledge of finances and mortgages . Most of my queries had been answered or explained or cleared out quickly, out of hours a lot of the times, either via emails or phone calls to parties involved: myself, my solicitor or buyer’s solicitor. This is the first time for me selling anything this big, Zena made it easy for me. My flat is considered low value property but the work they put in to sell it is huge! I have no hesitation to recommend Sure if you want to sell your property.

Excellent lettings agency (the only service I've used them for...so far). I'm repeating what other people have said in their reviews, but the team at Sure are so proactive. They help identify problems (and solutions!), and they are incredibly knowledgeable about their work. I was honestly surprised at how hands-on they were as well, even though I had contracted them for basic services only. This is not something you will find with other lettings agents. I had to do a lot of work on the house before it could be let, and my only regret, as an absent landlord, is that I didn't get Sure on board earlier to help manage the works. I have no doubt it would have been significantly less stressful and expensive if they had been involved. And in response to other comments about how quickly they manage to let properties...they found a tenant for mine before it even went to market. Which...is pretty damn good. Rented with Sure Property for 3 years during my university experience and each year just got worse and worse. Very little to no communication between them and us regarding various issues and deposit returns, ignoring emails and not returning phone calls. Was told multiple times I would receive an email back shortly, only to then wait weeks and not hear anything back. I understand there are issues with landlords that the agents cannot control but their communication is atrocious and attitude over the phone is extremely patronising. Cannot stress enough for university students to find another agency to rent with.

Terrible, probably the worst. I read through all the comment and most of them were about they are highly responsive and helpful, but to us, they were only responsive at every “money asking stages”: asking price period, and plus they were only friendly to landlords but definitely not students! First, did not keep the promise. When we were enquiring the property, I have already suggested for a monthly contract after a 6-month contract. Then we both agreed for the monthly contract, and it was also clearly stated on all the formal documents, so we have happily rent this property under this monthly renewal conditions. However, when the 6-month contract were close to end, the agency has failed to keep their promise and told us we could NOT rent month by month, even required us to a 12-month contract. They clearly broke the promise even with the paperwork’s existence. Secondly, highly unresponsive, and irresponsible to repairing issues. We found out the kitchen lights were not working at all since the move in day, so we notified the agency immediately and requested repair. However, it took almost a month to complete most of the repairment, but some were still left unrepaired even till we check out. Thirdly, unreasonable charges, all they want is taking benefits on tenants. After checking out the inspection was carried out and they made a list of unreasonable claims. Fortunately, we have taken pictures and videos of the property on the move in day, so we were able to defence ourselves and rejected some of the unreasonable claim. *Whoever is reading this/ going to rent with this company, please remember to take pictures and videos when you move in.* Even with the list of evidence, they still charged us unreasonably, such as light bulbs. We have received an invoice stating we should pay 35 pounds for two light bulbs, which we should not be responsible to them because they were left unrepaired since the start of the tenancy (as stated as the above)! The fact is, one of the light bulbs were blown few days before checking out, and I believe this is normal wear and tear so tenants should not be charged for, and they should even be responsible for the repairment during the tenancy. They insisted the 35 pounds call out fee should be paid by us the tenants regardless how many light bulbs were replaced. Simple questions, why are we responsible for the whole 35 pounds call out fee? If the call out charge of 35 pounds remains the same regardless how many light bulbs were replaced, why don’t the agent pay for us but instead charging us? Lastly, terrible, and very unprofessional in handling customers relations and communication, totally disgusted. After a read through to these comment and my experience, they don’t seem to be friendly to students and only want to take money from them. Money doesn’t grow on tree, students should not be taken advantages on, have already reminded my uni peers to avoid this company if they don’t want to lose money! Well, I am going to be threaten by the company like others!

Moving made easy.. how rare is that? Having sold our house, we were looking to rent whilst we decided our next move. Renting as a process feels unnecessarily complex, the competition for properties in Brighton and Hove is vast and the ability to home a four legged friend... nigh on impossible. Sure Solutions Property were absolutely brilliant. I made a late call at almost 6pm thinking they would not answer, BUT the Deputy Branch Manager Tarryn answered my call with warmth and understanding and found us a property which she allowed us to view and turned around the reference checking process in record time. We could not have asked for more from Sure Property Solutions. Professional, engaging and efficient in delivering the right outcomes for both as tenants (not used to the process) BUT for the owner of the property being careful to ensure the right fit. We are looking forward to (hopefully) working with Sure Solutions again when we purchase, but for now... renting 'finally', felt good.

What to say? During a time of Covid-19, a time of shifting priorities and a world turned upside down to make us shift priorities, Zena and Kate were the voices of calm, pragmatism and a ‘we will’ attitude even against legal systems impacted by the pandemic. When scared of lockdowns, they had clear plans and measures in place to sell our Hove property regardless. They were person centred listening from day 1 to our thoughts and adapting as necessary or giving us ideas/solutions to ensure we got all we needed and throughout the process they were approachable, open, transparent and kept us fully informed until the end politely prompting solicitors, collating/gathering info along the way till we sold our flat for the price we hoped. Great service, great team who most importantly we trusted implicitly and who were equally as gracious to the new purchasers who we sincerely hope love what we created and live as happily as we did.
