GoogleAs a first time buyer with no previous experience, I was very hesitant and uncertain but buying my first home was made so easy. Samim played a huge role in making sure the transaction was stress free. He was very helpful and friendly, always answered any questions at any step during the process. I would highly recommend Samim.

GoogleDon´t use this company at all costs!
I rented an expensive property full of defects and about 7 months into the rental, I was still having new problems on a daily basis even though they promised whatever "little improvements" that needed to be done were going to be done within a week or two.
I had builders every week fixing the bathrooms, shower, they left rubbish everywhere, sometimes I had people coming into my flat unannounced, the radiators didn't work etc, it was an absolute ordeal. They don't deserve your money, if you find a property you like you will see it advertised with one of their competitors too. Go there instead.

Thank you for your review Daniel and sorry you feel you had such a bad experience renting through Mishon Mackay. I have been able to review the file and can see you certainly had a lot of maintenance whilst you were residing in the property; however it looks as through all of which was unavoidable and dealt with in a timely manner. We do apologies that the work in the bathroom took longer than expected and are grateful for your patience. I can see regular updates were provided to you and everything you reported was actioned included the new radiators in both bedrooms. I am sorry that the contractors sometimes failed to notify of their visit and left rubbish on site, this is very unusual for the firm I know completed most of the work, but we will be sure to raise your dissatisfaction with them as well.

GoogleMishon Mackay and specifically Alex Rathbone handled our purchase of a one-bedroom flat in Brighton. Throughout the process Alex was always in communication with me, always available and happy to visit the property on my request (several times) and dealt with the negotiation and exchange in a thoroughly professional manner. The exchange was delayed but I always felt that Alex was in my corner and pushing on my behalf. On the very rare occasion she wasn't available, her colleagues stepped in and were also excellent. It was a pleasure dealing with Mishon MacKay and Alex in particular. Dump your preconceived ideas of Estate Agents, these guys were excellent - I would not hesitate to recommend them.

GoogleArranged to view a property to buy with Samin
Got a viewing confirmation the evening before.
The morning of the viewing called 1 hour before that just to say the property has been sold.
How that can be possible if the evening before this guy asked to confirm the viewing ?
He should have got an amazing offer early in the morning, pass it to the vendor and accept it in a matter of a hour ???
He could have honored the viewing and pass my offer as well.
He has decided to dishonor our agreement and the agency is working for.
Utterly unprofessional and unreliable.
Why Mishon Mackay is still employing this guy ?

Hi there
I'm sorry that you have had to post such a negative review on our Brighton Office. I've tried to look into the points you have raised but I'm afraid that I can't find your details on our system, at least with the details you have used to post this review. Could you let me know how we might have you registered on our database so that I can see what has happened?
Thanks

GoogleBeware buyers: This estate agent misleads customers on important legal matters, which cost me considerable time, energy and money.
I viewed an apartment with the Seven Dials office of Mishon Mackay (Hove). I asked specifically whether the apartment's hardwood floor (with which the agency advertised the flat) were legally sound in terms of the lease. I stressed that this is important as my partner has strong allergies and I am looking for a place with hard wood flooring. I was aware that more and more flats are being sold with hard wood flooring even though this is not allowed per the lease. The agent claimed that the hard wood floors were all fine in terms of the lease. I consequently made an offer on the place.
But once my solicitor got insight into the legal details, it turned out that the lease mandates that all floors need be carpeted. This is stated in a central place in the lease agreement and cannot be missed. Mishon Mackay nevertheless tried to pressure me into buying the flat. According to them, the clause "all floors need be carpeted" does not mean that all floors need be carpeted. But that is of course not true. My solicitor was very clear: the hardwood floors are in direct breach of the lease and need be changed once anyone complains about noise.
Mishon Mackay then failed to get retrospective consent from the landlord for the hardwood floors. All they got was a short email saying that the floors are ok as long as no one complains, but that a court would likely decide against the current state of the flat.
Mishon Mackay then tried to portray this as a normal thing, stating that they could not have possibly known about the details of the lease. This is both of course untrue as well. Other agencies that I have been dealing with either told me that the floors need be carpeted or looked into the lease details before confirming whether the floors need carpeting or not. I finally decided to pull out of the sale because I never made an offer on a property that is in clear breach of the lease.
In the course of this I lost money for a homebuyer report, legal searches, and a mortgage application, let alone my headache over this and wasted time. And all this simply because of the dishonesty of Mishon Mackay that seem to privilege a quick sale over legally sound procedure.

GoogleI have been really impressed with the exceptional service I have received from Mishon Mackay. I recently met with some of the team at the Brighton branch to discuss a valuation of my property. They were extremely knowledgeable of the market which was very encouraging and the valuation itself was extremely thorough. I have since instructed them to market the property and have had an excellent response with well matched buyers. All in all a very positive experience!

GoogleSubject: Commendation for Dee's Exceptional Service
I am writing to provide a reference for Dee based on my recent experience purchasing my new home. Throughout this process, Dee and Felix have demonstrated exceptional professionalism, patience, and understanding of my needs. Dee in particular, has gone above and beyond to ensure the successful purchase of my home.
In my opinion,Dee has done an outstanding job in navigating the complexities of the purchase, displaying unwavering dedication and perseverance. Despite the challenges we encountered, Dee remained steadfast and always made herself available to address any concerns or provide support. Her commitment to her role extended beyond that of a typical estate agent, often assuming the roles of therapist and counselor as well.
Dee's contributions have been invaluable, and I consider her to be a tremendous asset to your company. I wholeheartedly recommend Mishon Mackay as an estate agent of integrity, committed to securing the best outcomes for their clients.

GoogleI recently purchased a property through Mishon Mackay, handled by Chris. The whole process was painless and Chris and his whole team were incredibly friendly, helpful, and proactive (which certainly can't be said of all estate agents!). Everyone seemed to be up to date with exactly what was happening at any time, so even if Chris was not in the office someone else was always able to answer a question or get the message to Chris quickly. I actually can't believe how easy this was. Thank you Chris!

Dee in particular was incredible, speeding up the process and adding a personal touch amongst the piles of paperwork! She worked long hours sending emails back and forth, always calm and reassuring during the many delays and challenges. Her enthusiasm and patience are second to none, and we are very happy that she was the one to help us buy our first home.

GoogleEstate agents forget that a buyer may one day become a seller. Unfortunately, for Mishon Mackay if they were the only estate agent available in the area I would simply choose not to sell my property. If I can sum up my experience in one word it would be disorganised. Mixed up viewings timings on more than one occasion, arrived late on more than one occasion, used the excuse of the seller's occupation for a serious delays in the conveyancing process on more than one occasion and became unpleasant over the phone one more than one occasion. The experience with Mishon Mackay made me realise why people do not trust estate agents. It got to the point where I needed them to put everything in writing over email and refused to pick up the phone to them. I wanted to pull out of my purchase at least 5 times and it if it wasn't for their constant false reassurances by them I would have. On completion, I did not receive all the keys and the seller had left a large item in the property even though exchange was 4 weeks prior. Buying your first home should be exciting and all the joy and happiness I had was lost whilst buying a property from Mishon Mackay.
