The entire staff of King & Chasemore were fantastic from the moment we booked our first viewing to the wonderful moment of getting our offer accepted. James Wootten looked after us from the offset ! After a really terrible time with estate agents ( that has spanned over several years!) dealing with Kings & Chasemore, specifically Melanie Cook & Olivia Gamble, has been a breath of fresh air!! I could not fault Shaun Egan and his team from my first contact until completion today. If I have a criticism it is not with them but with King & Chasemore which presumably as a matter of policy asks them to recommend HS Lawyers with the bribe of free photography. In hindsight I should have paid the £200 for the photographer and used my own solicitor. When Shaun and I realised that real pressure had to be put on the lawyers to get moving Shaun backed me up every inch of the way and did his share of chasing and checking until completion

All the staff at King & Chasemoor have been very helpful in bringing my purchase of a flat in Brighton to a satisfactory conclusion. As soon as we met Shaun Egan, we knew from his approach and attitude that we had found the right person to sell our flat. He was very friendly, helpful but above all very knowledgeable and proactive in his job. No empty impossible promises, just plain hard work. Together with James and Jodi, they secured us the right viewings and, in less than 4 months, we completed on the sale of our flat. As it was our first time selling, we found the whole process very daunting but Shaun and his team patiently guided us through it, answering our endless queries promptly and putting us in touch with a solicitor and a mortgage advisor, who were also both very helpful. For various pandemic-related reasons, the whole process took far longer than it ordinarily would but Josh and Claire were brilliant at keeping the process moving as quickly and smoothly as possible. They were always friendly and professional, and were brilliant at communicating when the process hit unavoidable difficulties, ensuring information was relayed between us and the vendors, and both parties' solicitors where needed. I can't recommend Shaun and his team enough, especially James and Connor. This is my first time selling a property and it comes with a range of emotions as it was my nans home and then my mothers who sadly passed away last year. They walked me through every step and were patient and just absolutely brilliant. My house went on the market on the Thursday and we accepted an offer within 6 days. We also had our offer accepted on the dream house we fell in love with and the team also helped with that as they knew the other estate agents. We had a hugely successful open day and James hosted that and completely smashed it. They're very responsive to messages and just a lovely bunch of people to work with. I will never forget the moment James called me to tell me our highest offer which well exceeded our expectations. Thanks a million!

Extremely poor service and complete lack of professionalism.

An agent came out to carry out a property valuation. After the visit, no valuation was ever sent, and there was no follow-up of any kind. I waited, chased, and eventually emailed a formal complaint about the lack of communication and service. That complaint was also ignored. If this is how King & Chasemore treat prospective vendors at the very first stage, it raises serious concerns about how they would handle an actual sale. Basic courtesy, communication, and accountability appear to be missing entirely. I would strongly advise anyone considering using this branch to think twice. Estate agents are entrusted with people’s most valuable assets, being unable to even send a valuation or respond to a complaint is simply unacceptable.

Highly recommended estate agents who 'walked the talk'. Joshua Fermer restored my faith in estate agents and delivered on everything that he promised, plus. Joshua was professional, amiable and made me feel comfortable, always listening to any of my concerns regarding selling with an openness and interpersonal skills that are often lacking. I was kept informed throughout what can be an arduous and difficult process, communication throughout was excellent and the sale went smoothly. My mother was unwell and he even remembered to check in with me regarding her health as they met when I was first appointing an estate agent. He went out of his way to help me when I was unable to move my remaining possessions prior to exchange and not only packed them but stored them for me. I cannot thank him enough and his team for how kind they were when I was struggling to get everything organised myself remotely. Amazing service with really great support. We were moving from London to Brighton during the pandemic and Paula, Fin and Adam have all been super supportive and patient. When stuck in traffic on check-in day, they even waited an extra two hours just to give us the key! The agents don't "manage the properties" and therefore literally don't know anything about them

I don't know if this is common in the UK but I find it quite appalling: I had a viewing a few days ago for a flat in Brighton. The agent could not answer a single question (for example, when I asked about the EPC rating or asked if the intercom was in working order.) The property itself was okay, but it was clearly in need of some renovation (like painting a patch on the bedroom wall.) However, nothing seemed to work. The exhaust hood above the cooker didn't work, neither did the light, which the agent didn't seem bothered about. They apparently "don't manage the properties" and it's the landlord's responsibility but... don't they WANT the prospective tenants to WANT to rent the place?! Wouldn't it be more effective to check a property when it goes onto the market first and take note of all the things that need to be done, and tell the landlord to take care of it before the viewings? So weird. This clearly doesn't make me wanna live there!! They'd have a much better chance at renting if they were more thorough with inspections (if they even do any.) Why would I wanna move into a flat where stuff hasn't been properly looked at, and get the landlord to fix stuff AFTER I've moved in? Doesn't make sense to me.
