Terrible experience leaving our tenancy with Winkworth Tiverton. Spent a day cleaning the flat only to be told it wasn't good enough and cost us nearly £300 in deposit for them getting it cleaned by "professional" we didn't have a say in any of this and even though we mentioned that we felt we left the flat in good condition it went on deaf ears. We looked after that flat for 2 and half years and to have this in return just felt like it was all for nothing. I hope I'm never in a situation where I will have them again. Terrible company

GoogleI found Winkworth to be a breath of fresh air! Viewings were efficient and calm with no hard selling (which always puts me off)! Once I'd made an offer, Adam and his team were easy to contact and remained positive and cheerful throughout the process. I would definitely recommend them!

After sending many emails trying to arrange a viewing, calling and being cut off, I was rudely and abruptly spoken to. Incompetent and incapable employees. My interest was dismissed and my situation wasn't even asked after, nor my telephone number or name for the viewing. Awful customer service from their NW office.

Had an appointment to view a flat, 30' before and as I was arriving, they cancelled as they got a holding deposit. How trustworthy Winkworth ?! Great move. The right thing to do is to finish all your appointments with the clients and then decide and take a holding deposit ! Avoid them.

I've had a lovely experience purchasing my first home with Thomas Syms from Winkworth. He has been very positive, friendly and helpful throughout the process. He got what I was looking for early in the search and really helped me to find the place that was right for me (even though I didn't think it from the pictures at all!). He kept me up to date every step of the way, and whenever lawyers weren't responding he could help move things along quickly. Thank you!

GoogleWe had Emma sell our house in Portslade. She was excellent from the get go. Very respectful of our home, without being asked. She organised a couple of open days and had a multitude of offers a few days later. She helped us choose the best offer for the quick, but reliable, sale that we wanted, and helped us through the arduous journey of buying and selling all the way to completion. She was personable and “on the case” when the transaction needed oiling. Would thoroughly recommend.

GoogleI never thought I’d be writing a glowing review for a lettings agent (in the past my experience with estate agents hasn’t been ideal). BUT Sarah Russell has blown me away with her “nothing is too much” attitude. From the beginning of the process (I’m a tenant) it was clear she cares deeply about the properties as if they were her own and treats her tenants with respect and care. She deals with everything IMMEDIATELY, is always upbeat, intelligent, sensitive and friendly. Extremely efficient, she literally sorts out any problem within minutes. Toby has also been fabulous, they work together brilliantly. If I was ever to sell or rent I would trust my property/friends looking to rent out/home with Sarah. Very, very impressed. It made the process of moving and renting very relaxing.

They valued our house and told us they could sell it with an open day within a couple of weeks. Winkworth promised us they had a large list of buyers at our asking price looking in our area, on this basis we decided to agree a contract with Winkworth. The open day never occurred as promised and it soon became apparent that there was no list of potential buyers and within three weeks, Winkworth asked us to drop our asking price on the basis this would attract more potential buyers and we could hold an open day.As we both work full-time, long hours and have two young children an open day was our preferred option which was one of the main reasons we picked Winkworth.Yet again and even though we had now dropped the price, Winkworth were unable to hold an open day and we had a trickle of “buyers” at inconvenient times. Some of these said they weren’t even interested in buying. For example, one visitor said they just wanted to compare the size of the rooms to a house in a nearby street, of course this info is on Right Move.We feel completely let down by Winkworth. We selected them over two others on the basis of their original promise and they completely failed to deliver on this. Had we selected one of the other estate agents we may have sold our house.

Great agency, as well as being really focused on finding the right buyer they put tremendous energy into helping make sure the selling process goes smoothly including liaising with both the buying and selling solicitors and keeping everyone on track until completion. GoogleThese guys really earned their commission. The team at Winkworth are experienced negotiators who know what they are doing and give good advice. In a difficult market with a difficult chain the Winkworth team went over and above to help everyone along, especially as one of the other estate agents did not seem to be doing their job. They give good and realistic valuations and have their finger on the pulse of the market. I would highly recommend them.

Winkworth Kensal Rise have always been excellent to deal with. They are proactive, efficient and friendly. We have used them to let our properties for many years now and have never had any problems at all. I would strongly recommend.

I used winkworth borehamwood...the sale price confirmation was spot on..however i was taken aback with the recommendations and i quote .." I would say to move items in2 your loft but it would b a hassle"..despite my walls throughout my flat are painted magnolia and are in pristine condition...it was recommended that i whitewash the entire flat...finally my flat is cluttered and i appreciate that i need to declutter prior to selling the property...despite this obvious fact the sales negotiator seemed continually irritated and indifferent when i mentioned retiling the kitchen. My personal expectation was that he make reasonable and professional recommendations....in conclusion i found him slightly patronising and not someone who was able to see the broader picture...I also felt he did not know the block of flats at all.
