Just for clarity, this is our experience. We decided to use Belts as our estate agents due to being a local company and people within our chain also using them, to make this an easier process. Throughout the process, we were kept well informed by Ruth. We were very happy with the outcome from Belts… until the completion date!! We had to hand our keys over in the morning, we were expected to sit and wait elsewhere while everyone else within the chain could stay in their current properties (Our money had already exchanged). After ringing Belts to see what was happening, we were told from a member of staff, that it is what it is and she had to wait till 4pm for her keys when she bought her house. That has been the last communication I have heard from Belts. I have now seen people within my chain have received a Welcome to your new home pack and I have not received anything or had a call from Belts since we have moved into the house. Unfortunately this has left me feeling disappointed.

We were starting to believe that finding a good estate agent was like discovering a real life unicorn 🦄 For our move from Scunthorpe to Bridlington we needed to arrange as many viewings as possible in one day and Belts were very efficient in providing just that. Twice now, I've wanted to view a property and both times, there was no one available to do the viewing as they were fully booked. The second time, I had sold my property and would have been a cash buyer. Yes, I did ring up on the day, but I could have done the following day. I explained that we lived over 150 miles away but no availability. When you pay an estate agent to sell your property you expect them to put themselves out a bit, after all they are getting a couple of grand plus depending on the property!

I have just sold my property using Belts Estate Agents and I can say that I am very happy with their service. It is clear that they have a thorough understanding of the marketplace having decades of experience in the area. Hannah and team went above and beyond in selling and helping us purchase our new house. When things started slowing down in our chain (reasons out of our and state agents control) they was there with plan b ready to help in anyway to get things moving.
