All at HRT worked hard to support us during our, at times, bumpy sale. Reassuring us, giving advice about how best to present the house and garden, and coordinating viewings for our convenience. As we neared exchange, David supported our understanding of a legal point that unfortunately our solicitor hadn’t taken the time to achieve. Kim eased communication with all parties involved to progress the sale in despite the many inherent barriers to smooth and clear communication in house transactions in England and Wales. All were professional throughout but didn’t forget the enormity of the experience for us as a couple. We would highly recommend this Estate Agency.

From the moment HRT valued our home they provided a complete and comprehensive service. They kept us up to date after each viewing where feedback had been given, not always available as many buyers do not provide any feedback. All staff responded to any request made by ourselves or provided information regarding the sales process. After the initial offer by the buyer was accepted Kim keep both the buyer and ourselves up to speed, even though there were some issues Kim and the HRT team kept us informed in consultation with our solicitors. A caring, holistic estate agency

We used this Estate Agent not because they were cheapest, or flashiest, or gave us an inflated estimate for our house. Matthew seemed to understand our needs, supported the presentation of our house for marketing, and gave counselling support when things weren’t so easy. When we were able to accept an offer, David was able to help our decision making by giving explanation of a legal concept that our solicitor had been unable or unwilling to give. The communication support in discussing issues between buyers and ourselves, and liaising regarding our inward sale, was exemplary and Kim was humane and understanding throughout. The whole team was great and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Bridgend branch.

A certain few ruin it all.

We had a disappointing experience during the viewing and subsequent sale process. At the viewing, the HRT representative initially stayed in his car and avoided eye contact; when he eventually greeted us, his manner felt abrupt and unwelcoming. As we asked relevant questions and requested to see the whole property, multiple times, many answers we received were misleading or factually incorrect. I would expect a professional to admit when they are unsure and offer to follow up with accurate information, rather than give incorrect answers.

When we first went with HRT Bridgend is was a rocky start. Feedback was not great and Stan was also very pushy in us reducing the property and made us feel under pressure. When it was reduced other homes in the area were then put on the market at a higher cost which was a let down and we couldn't put ours back up as it would not look good by Stan! When the property was sold communication with Ann, Kim and Angharad was good. Angharad went above and beyond during the final leg of the sale. Going between solicitors, buyer and even the auction house. Angharad made the situation so much easier and we can not thank you enough for all your hard work! Angharad you should be proud of yourself for being an amazing front line worker for the company. They are lucky to have you!

We switched to Herbert R Thomas after almost 6 months of being on the market, one viewing and no feedback from the potential purchasers. The photos, house information and walkthrough video produced to a very high standard (compared to previous listing) and generated viewings immediately. Feedback was always passed on promptly and constructively. Its fair to say the timing coincided with a very difficult time with mortgage rates, cost of living pressures so we did have buyers pulling out which was managed so well by the team at HRT we were encouraged that viewings commenced and we finally completed our move this week. If I could give a zero I would. A complete shambles from the off. Very little communication from them and when they did communicate most of the information was withheld/misleading. They arranged a viewing for a Sunday and when I queried it I was told they didn’t do viewings on a Sunday. I sent them the viewing confirmation they sent me and suddenly they remembered the viewing took place. How can you trust someone to sell your home when they constantly mislead you. Totally unprofessional!!!

I would like to highly commend Dave Waterman and the whole Team at HRT Bridgend for the fantastic service provided during our recent house move. Selling two houses and purchasing our new one all with HRT made life much easier than dealing with multiple agents. From the first valuation visit by James who was extremely professional, friendly and engaging (he was the reason we chose HRT after initial meetings with 5 different estate agents) through to the wonderful photos and drone video that Dave took which lead to fantastic Instagram and Social Media presence. Good Communication/Very Good Sale/Satisfying Result

Very good communication, professional and patient agents and they did a great job for us. Vicky came out and gave us a fair fee and they carried out a lot of viewings on our particular property and never cribbed nor grizzled once. They got me a good price for my old house and I walked away happy to relocate in a different area. I can only recommend them after having first hand experience. They always answer the phone quickly, unlike a lot of other agents who are far too big for their boots. On completing our sale and purchase in August 2022 we would like to relay a big "Thank you!" to the whole team. Having had a highly frustrating time finding the right property to purchase in the current market and getting over a few obstacles for completion HRT were nothing but exceptional. No question was too much, communication was superb and replies were always quickly returned. Having dealt with an extremely poor estate agent on the purchasing side, the efforts of HRT to resolve every situation really shone through. Cowbridge office - the asking price was offered, seller agreed, a sale was in progress. A day later my ID via the online portal was accepted, another day later a solicitor was secured, on that same day an email was recieved from HRT saying the sellers had accepted a higher offer - that HRT had put forward, as they did not mark the property as 'Sold Subject to Contract' and continued putting offers forward to the seller
